Claudio’s face instantly turned ashen, his knuckles white from the tension.

The association’s worst fears had co to pass.

The Holy Court’s previous compromises were rely a facade for their future plans.

"So, you chose today to strike at Wu Heng." Claudio’s voice was solemn, laced with anger.

The Pope calmly set down his teacup, his expression still serene.

There was no longer any need for disguise; the plan was set, and the association, even if they knew, was powerless to change it.

As always, if he’s alive, the association might try to protect him.

But if he’s dead, who would truly seek justice for a dead man?

"Perhaps it was just fate?" The Pope wore a benign smile.

"He is the registered leader of the association!" Claudio said angrily, "You no longer regard the association at all."

The Pope gently stroked the Holy Emblem embroidered with gold on his sleeve, his tone still calm, "Just a personal grievance, why elevate it to the level of the association?"

As he looked up, a flash of sharpness crossed his eyes, "Claudio, you and I both understand, either the Holy Court or that blaspher must perish."

Even as Claudio spoke with anger, he did not believe that the association would truly retaliate against the Holy Court if Wu Heng died.

Claudio’s breathing suddenly beca heavy.

Staring intently at the Pope’s ’benevolent and gentle’ face, he suddenly realized that any argunt at this mont would be futile.

"The association will rember today." Claudio suddenly rose and left.

The Pope smiled as he raised his teacup, "Give my regards to Leader Hadara."

Taking a sip of tea, he added, "By the way, next week we’ll hold a victory celebration. If you have the ti, please do co."

Bang~!

The heavy door slamd shut, and the Pope finally allowed himself a victorious smile.

...

The local association.

Claudio’s footsteps echoed dully through the association’s corridor.

Along the way, mbers greeted him and stepped aside, all sensing that the usually calm leader was now concealing anger.

Opening the dormitory door, Claudio sat in front of the desk and unfolded a letter.

He quickly wrote down his recent conversation with the current Pope in its entirety.

Taking a deep breath, he sealed it with wax after placing it in an envelope.

Knowing now how severe the situation was, he should have followed Lilith’s advice to bring a portable radio.

Leaning back in the chair, waiting for the wax to solidify.

He also began to ponder over the matter.

The three Church Heroes had preditated this action.

During this ti, they must have prepared various tools and Special Items targeting Wu Heng.

Not to ntion how any seasoned hero in the association, facing such a situation, could claim to escape unscathed!

Speaking of himself, when surrounded by three heroes, the only plan would be to use his years of experience to find a way to escape first.

And the Holy Court’s aning was also straightforward.

If Wu Heng died, what could the association do to the Holy Court!

Thinking for a while, as the wax solidified, Claudio stood up, opened the door, and handed the letter to the attendant at the door, "Deliver it to headquarters, leave now."

"Yes!" The attendant saluted and quickly departed.

After sending off the letter, Claudio returned to the room, glanced out the window, and saw the falcon standing on the eaves in the twilight, staring intently toward him.

...

In front of the notice board in Chelu City.

The latest notice was once again posted in the most conspicuous place, and the bard recited its contents chanically, his voice growing quieter.

"Leader Wu Heng... killed three..." The bard’s Adam’s apple moved, "Church Heroes!"

The crowd froze as if sculpted.

Any notice posted would usually elicit so curses from the square, yet now it was silent.

The Week of Courage had turned into a murder trap, the Holy Court betrayed its promises, yet the youngest hero managed to kill three heroes despite being ambushed.

Every face was marked with astonishnt.

A hero... is not an ordinary professional.

In one swoop, three died in the Yeko Kingdom.

Never in its history had the Yeko Kingdom seen so many heroes.

The bard swallowed hard and continued with forced determination, "From now on, expel all Holy Court personnel within the borders..."

The crowd’s eyes widened once more.

...

Inside the chamber!

Dusk slanted through the glass window, casting mottled shadows on the carpet.

Brittany sat on the soft couch and said, "The latest announcent has been posted, and tomorrow we’ll resu the Week of Courage trials."

Her big eyes looked over expectantly, "Will you still participate?"

Wu Heng smiled and said, "The original plan isn’t affected by these couple of days."

Brittany joyfully said, "Great! With you presiding, no one will doubt the announcent’s content anymore."

"Mm!" Wu Heng nodded with a smile.

They chatted for a while, and a little maid ca in, whispering, "Your Majesty! The bathwater is ready."

Brittany extended her hand, and the maid helped her stand up, "I’ll go take a bath first."

"Alright!" Wu Heng nodded, and Brittany headed to the bathroom.

After Brittany left.

Wu Heng took out three Space Rings obtained from the Church Heroes.

The capital of the Holy Court was indeed substantial, and the space within these three rings was quite large, the sort unattainable even with a market price.

"Uncle, hurry and see what’s inside." Xiao Xiao urged.

The Three Souls floated nearby, eagerly anticipating the surprise.

Wu Heng began to take everything out one by one: bags, a large number of gold coins and silver coins, gold bars, church attire, books, ceremonial items, tools, scrolls, Special Items, and various sundry items.
