Chapter 1449: Chapter 1020: Why Are They So Annoying?

Besides the Chamber of Comrce, you could also hear so representatives from prominent families and kingdom delegates, all waiting to present gifts and extend goodwill to the newly risen hero.

On the mansion’s terrace, Viola and Philippa stood side by side, observing the lively scene at the entrance.

Philippa, nibbling on a pastry, casually said, “Why don’t you go out and show your face? How impressive!”

After living there for so ti, Viola understood the Pirate Mistress’s character and replied, “A hero isn’t a street perforr, just like you wouldn’t personally steer a rchant ship just because they offered a few barrels of barley wine.”

Philippa raised an eyebrow, “Makes so sense.”

Viola smiled, her gaze still fixed on the distance.

In the radio room.

Sunlight streaming through the window cast patterns on the floor.

Wu Heng leaned against a wooden chair, holding a smartphone. Earlier in the morning, he had a conversation with Wen Mansha to stay connected.

The church and electrical layout over in Lundham City were progressing smoothly, and they were already nurturing local Beastman Priests, which made placent in the church more convenient.

After hanging up, Wu Heng dialed the Yeko Kingdom Queen’s phone.

After two rings, the call connected, quickly switching to a video call.

On the screen, Brittany lounged lazily on a velvet sofa, her loose court dress still hinting at a slightly bulging belly.

Compared to the last eting, she appeared a bit fuller, her cheeks glowing with a healthy flush.

Catching sight of each other on the video, a hint of girlish shyness erged.

“My lord!” Brittany softly exclaid, absent-mindedly twirling her golden hair falling over her shoulder with her fingers.

Wu Heng’s gaze lingered on her for a mont, and his tone involuntarily softened, “How have you been lately?”

Brittany gently caressed her belly, “Everything’s well. Lately, I’ve been craving unusual things, but once the maids prepare them, my appetite suddenly vanishes.”

“I’ll have so specialties from Gold and Silver Island sent over to you. I rember you quite like the seafood there,” Wu Heng said with a smile.

Brittany thought for a mont, “Now that you ntion it, I really do want to try so.”

“I’ll arrange it shortly.”

They chatted about daily matters.

Brittany asked about Shanaela and Philippa’s recent situations before moving to the main topic, “The priests you sent are very skilled, and the operations of the churches across regions are smoother than expected.”

She continued, “Especially the ‘Divine ssenger’ Q&A sessions, where lines form in front of the royal capital’s cathedral even before dawn every day.”

Wu Heng nodded slightly.

Internally, he wasn’t surprised as the recent rapid increase in faith had already explained everything.

“The number of churches is now expanding into remote towns,” Brittany pondered before continuing, “You can send more priests over, and they’ll be directly assigned to churches.”

“Okay, I’ll arrange for priests to be sent over,” Wu Heng glanced at her expression, then added, “So matters can be left to the ministers to handle. Your primary task is to take care of yourself and our baby.”

Brittany smiled brightly, montarily transforming back into the princess from their first eting, “As you command, Lord Island Master.”

After discussing the main matters, Brittany adjusted her cushion and continued, “My lord, there’s another matter I’d like to discuss with you.”

“Go ahead!”

“A month from now is the Week of Courage in the Yeko Kingdom. On this day, promising young professionals from all over the kingdom gather for courage trials.”

She paused slightly before continuing, “If you’re willing to participate as a leader, it would enhance your identity as the kingdom’s hero, which would also benefit the spread of faith.”
