Chapter 1437: Chapter 1016: The Second Hero

Sim stood by the window, round glasses reflecting the starlight that pierced the sky and earth.

He never expected that on the second day of his arrival on Gold and Silver Island, he would witness the legendary hero ascension.

“Viola!” Sim muttered the na softly.

The one becoming a hero was undoubtedly the witch ‘Viola’, the issuer of the cards.

The tavern housed bards crafting stories of the witch, while stalls at the marketplace exchanged and sold cards.

This witch, once wanted by the association, was hailed as a hero by Gold and Silver Island.

Sim suddenly recalled a book he had read about a hero.

Wherever he tread, even the toxic swamp would bloom with flowers.

Sim returned to the desk, picked up a pen, yet hesitated to write anything down.

Should he report this to the headquarters?

If he did, sending out information so soon after arriving on the island would make him seem like a planted spy.

Not writing! If headquarters learns the news from other sources, it will be even harder to explain.

“Damn it!” Sim tugged at his hair, throwing the letter aside.

The dissatisfaction from headquarters is much better than offending Gold and Silver Island.

On the cobblestone streets of Gold and Silver Island, the cacophony of vendors suddenly ca to a halt.

The baker’s long baguette, the maid’s silver tray in the tavern, all tilted as everyone stepped out and looked toward the Island Lord’s Mansion.

The Milky Way reversed, and a waterfall of stars cascaded.

The indigenous people of the island had seen this scene before, last there when the Pope had attacked Gold and Silver Island.

They were gathered by the association on the open ground in the central district, witnessing the sa brilliant galaxy.

Back then, people didn’t know what it was until the next day when the Island Lord’s Mansion released a newspaper.

It announced that the Lord Island Master had beco a hero, the phenonon last night being a symbol of becoming a hero.

“Has another person beco a hero?”

“It must be Miss Viola, people have long speculated that Viola would beco a hero soon.”

“Nonsense! I think it’s the Rabbit Divine Envoy. It’s said the ssenger from the church is her, so how could it be anyone else but her becoming a hero first.”

After a brief commotion.

Representatives of rchant groups staying on the island, and people from various forces, all quickly moved toward their residences.

A new hero has appeared on Gold and Silver Island, and the entire situation is bound to change.

The news must be conveyed imdiately.

Wood Elf.

In the reception hall of the Great Elder Mansion.

Incense smoke curled upward like a thin veil under the sunlight.

In the reception hall, the Great Elder of the Wood Elves, ‘Bonifacius,’ raised a teacup, took a sip, his gaze flickering to the front.

Sitting opposite him was the local archbishop of the Holy Court, clad in a silver-threaded robe.

The archbishop’s eyes slightly narrowed, a trace of impatience flashing beneath them.

“His Holiness the Pope is quite displeased with the recent actions of the Wood Elves…” The archbishop put down the teacup, the bottom clinking crisply against the table, “Continuation of this will affect our long-standing… harmony.”

The Great Elder ‘Bonifacius’ smiled subtly, his wrinkles smoothing out, “rely a few small churches, the Holy Court is broad-minded, why bother with such insignificant cooperation?”

“Naturally, the Holy Court is magnanimous.” The archbishop’s voice remained elegant yet cold, “But as the archbishop stationed among the Wood Elves, I find it hard to sleep, feeling deeply ashad.”

Bonifacius said, “The Wood Elves will always be the Holy Court’s staunchest supporters, with tens of thousands of followers across major cities here, you need not worry about that.”

The archbishop’s fingers tapped the table slowly and heavily.

This wasn’t his first ti discussing the matter, and over these months, he almost wore out the doorstep here.

“Great Elder!” The archbishop no longer intended to be subtle, his voice low, “The Holy Hall has issued an order, if you do not clear the churches of the Spirit Awakening Sect among the Wood Elves, the Holy Court will dispatch a Holy Seat to handle it.”

He leaned slightly forward, his hair hanging down, glimring in the sunlight, “By then, whether you and the other elders can still sit here drinking tea is uncertain.”

Bonifacius’s fingers slightly stiffened.

During this ti, the news of the Holy Court’s Heroes, nad the Holy Seats, had quickly spread to every race.

“You see…, we need to convene the Elder’s Council and give you a response then, is that okay?” The Great Elder ‘Bonifacius’ intended to delay once more.

The archbishop sneered, “Today you must give an answer, if not, it signifies that the Wood Elves have utterly parted ways with the Holy Court, and I will report this faithfully to the Holy Hall.”

As his voice fell, the air seed to congeal.

In the room, only the sound of the two n’s breathing remained.

Just as the Great Elder ‘Bonifacius’ face turned stern, preparing to speak.

Tap tap tap~!

Hurried footsteps sounded, an attendant quickly entered, respectfully saluted, then leaned down to whisper a few words in the Great Elder’s ear.

Bonifacius’s brows furrowed, saying, “Archbishop Elvin, please wait a mont, I need to handle so matters.”

“Please go ahead! But I will wait for your return.” The archbishop nodded.

Bonifacius, taking the attendant, walked to the adjoining room, spoke only after the Soundproof Pot had cut off sound, “What’s going on?”

The attendant, still keeping his voice low, said, “The Fifth Elder used a Gold and Silver Island tool to send back a ssage, saying a galaxy hangs upside down over Gold and Silver Island, and a second hero has erged, suspected to be the recently publicized ‘Viola’. Currently, Elder Shanaila hasn’t sent back any ssage yet.”

Second hero!

The Great Elder’s pupils suddenly contracted.
