Ling Momo dared not disturb him anymore. She tiptoed to the desk, picked up a sheet of music, and browsed through it with serious attention.

But that afternoon, Ling Momo was frequently distracted, occasionally lifting her head to glance at Li Qingshen as the words he’d said on the phone that afternoon echoed incessantly in her mind.

Li Qingshen, engrossed in his reading, would from ti to ti scribble with a pen on paper, sotis deep in thought, sotis furrowing his brows. His subtle facial expressions and movents held an infinite charm.

Thus passed the afternoon, tranquil and leisurely.

It wasn’t until seven in the evening that Ling Momo went downstairs to cook.

By the ti she had finished, Li Qingshen had just co down from upstairs.

"Teacher, dinner’s ready!" Ling Momo greeted Li Qingshen sweetly.

Li Qingshen nodded, washed his hands, and sat at the dining table.

The two of them didn’t engage in much conversation during the al.

The atmosphere was very quiet.

Not oppressive.

Yet, Ling Momo didn’t know why she felt a touch of nervousness.

Even, there was an illusion of breathlessness.

Unable to restrain herself, Momo clumsily sought topics, trying to dispel the abnormal tension, "Teacher... Director Wang Yi called and said he wants to do a retake next Tuesday."

Li Qingshen lifted his head and glanced at Ling Momo without responding.

Accustod to Li Qingshen’s sotis indifferent manner, Ling Momo didn’t feel awkward.

She quietly ate a few bites before she could no longer help herself, looking at Li Qingshen with curiosity and asking, "Teacher, don’t you plan on returning to Arica?"

Li Qingshen’s expression suddenly turned somber.

Ling Momo shivered slightly and then, feigning innocence, spoke in a beguiling tone, pouting slightly, "Teacher, I didn’t an to eavesdrop, I just happened to wake up when you were on the phone this afternoon, and I happened to hear..."

Under the dim light of the dining room, the girl tilted her head, biting on her spoon, and stared innocently at him, explaining in a soft voice.

Li Qingshen’s gaze deepened as he shifted in his seat, surprisingly not getting angry.

Momo, pushing her luck, asked, "Teacher... You gave up your achievents in Arica for soone; don’t you regret it?"

Li Qingshen frowned and looked at Ling Momo.

A soft, endearing glow shone from the depths of Momo’s dark eyes as she puckered her lips and gave him a tender smile, "Teacher... I was just asking..."

Li Qingshen’s gaze, however, lacked focus, a dazed look crossing his handso face. It was the first ti Ling Momo had seen him like this, so beautiful that she was montarily stunned.

Then, she heard sothing that startled her even more, accompanied by a fierce pounding in her heart.
