Doris’s phone on the coffee table started ringing all of a sudden. She took a deep breath and glanced at the screen. Her strained expression softened slightly before she glanced at Qi Feng. “You can go back now. Glenn, send him off!”
Doris grabbed her cup of tea and headed into her study room before answering the call.
Qi Feng quietly looked at her. It was not hard to guess the call was very important to her, especially since it was rare to see such an expression on her face.
“Hello? Alex, it’s ...” She spoke fluent English. Naturally, Qi Feng understood her as well, but that was all he heard before she vanished further into her study room.
“First Master!” Morrison’s voice reached him monts later.
“Let’s go back.” Qi Feng looked away and moved his wheelchair on his own.
