1056 I“ll Give You A Chance 1
Qi Lei soon vanished out of the door.
Xi Xiaye propped one hand on her table and watched the door. Then, she slowly moved to sit back down on her chair and took a deep breath before she turned to look out at the gloomy horizon, her elegant face seeming a little dazed.
“Such a short chat?” Lan Zilang’s voice was very quickly heard from behind.
Xi Xiaye turned back very quickly and responded, “Uncle Lan.”
“I think Qi Lei’s been pretty good, especially recently. He feels much calr now. Elder CEO has admired him since back then. He said that if he takes more ti to be disciplined, he can definitely be an expert!” Lan Zilang was not stingy with his praises.
“I hope he won’t let us down.” Xi Xiaye smiled calmly.
“How’s Elder CEO doing? I haven’t been in contact with him for quite a few days now. He should be having fun in France right now, isn’t he?” Lan Zilang handed the blueprint to Xi Xiaye as he asked with concern.
“He’s doing pretty good. He’s walking around and not rushing either. These past few days, he’s been sending quite a few photos back. Seeing the smile on his face, I feel like he looks much younger now. There’s still half a month to go, so I’ll let them have fun,” she responded light-heartedly. Then, she took over the blueprint and said, “Right, Uncle Lan, just release the materials in the warehouse in batches as we agreed before.”
“Got it!” Lan Zilang replied, “Miss Xiaye, since you’re at this point, why don’t you just ignore it? That way, you could get Gu Lingsha in more trouble. You could even affect their decision to get married.”
Xi Xiaye smirked, then slowly leaned back against her chair. “Things won’t be so simple. It’s still the governnt behind the South River Project No. 2. Businesses don’t fight with the governnt. When they actually get the governnt to intervene, then that would cause a huge problem and it won’t be good, so this ti we can only reprimand them a little. Firstly, it was to help Qi Lei, and secondly, it was good to make Gu Lingsha anxious and kill her vibe a little. That way, she’ll learn.”

Qi Lei returned to Qi Kai as quickly as he could. Right now, it was almost ti for work to end.
Inside Qi Qiming’s comfortable office, Qi Qiming was discussing project matters with several shareholders and Gu Lingsha when suddenly, there was a knock on the door followed by a loud crash as the door was flung open. Qi Lei’s tall figure entered their sight as he entered with huge strides with a docunt in hand.
“Qi Lei!”
When Gu Lingsha saw Qi Lei, her beautiful face quickly flashed with joy.
Bam!
Qi Lei tossed the docunt onto Qi Qiming’s table as his calm voice said coolly, “Fuhua’s request conditions are right there for you to work with. If you agree, then I can persuade them to dispatch the materials as soon as possible. Otherwise, my hands are tied.”
Upon hearing that, Gu Lingsha took the docunt impatiently from the table and flipped through it. However, soon, her expression darkened.
“It’s 20% higher than usual! Xi Xiaye! She’s too much! Why doesn’t she just rob us? Is she trying to loot a burning house?” Gu Lingsha growled while her hands that gripped the docunt trembled in anger.
She was clearly digging a hole for her to fall into! What a horrid woman!
With the racket of Gu Lingsha’s curses, Qi Qiming and the few other shareholders exchanged looks and quickly took over the docunt. Imdiately, their expressions changed!
“Good on you, Xi Xiaye! Stepping over now, huh?! This must be her collaborating with that sly fox from Hua Heng to scam us!”
“Yes, CEO Qi, Hua Heng is too disrespectful towards Qi Kai! We sincerely want to do business with them, but they keep fooling us like monkeys!”
“Repulsive! I heard that Shen Yue and Hua Heng are actually really good friends. This might be them joining hands to trouble us!”
The few of them looked at the docunt and begun to complain.
Qi Qiming’s expression was stern, those darkened eyes were fixated on the conditions stated on the docunt, he looked extrely unhappy.
“All’s fair in love and war. I’m not trying to say anything, but shouldn’t you investigate the partners thoroughly before going into business with them? I’ve already gotten soone to check. Right now, if we want to get these materials in the speediest way, it’s really tough. Look at the weather right now. It’s already getting dark. This ti, with the typhoon, it’s only going to make things worth in the southwest. You can consider your next steps yourself since I’ve already done my best,” Qi Lei sighed as he said in a slightly low tone.
Gu Lingsha’s eyes suddenly shifted. She seed to be looking at Qi Lei with a questioning look, yet he just lowered his gaze calmly. Before he turned around, ready to leave the office, he said, “You can discuss among yourselves. If you agree to it, then let know. I told Fuhua’s people that I’ll give them an answer by tomorrow afternoon.”
At this mont, Gu Lingsha suddenly called out to him, “VP Qi!”
Qi Lei abruptly stopped walking although he did not turn back as he asked in a deep voice, “Anything else, Manager Gu?”
“Are you sure that you’ve fought hard for it? Xi Xiaye’s clearly demanding an exorbitant price! Didn’t you see the conditions on the docunt? Did you actually bring these back for us to discuss? VP Qi, are your capabilities only as such?” Gu Lingsha’s tone sounded rather sharp with a hint of unhappiness.
Upon hearing that, Qi Lei was pissed off. He sneered and turned to look at her, “Manager Gu, do you have any idea who you’re talking to right now? I’m the Vice President of Qi Kai! Your superior! Do you understand? Bloody hell, how dare you talk to in that tone? Who do you think you are? What are you relying on? Our past relationship or as the future daughter-in-law of the Qi family? Have you forgotten what you said yesterday? If you want to act all high and mighty, wait till you’ve married into the Qi family before challenging !”
Qi Lei was really furious this ti. After Gu Lingsha got involved with Xi Xiaye and Mu Yuchen, she had beco a mad woman that he was fed up with!
Gu Lingsha was shocked by Qi Lei’s reaction. She looked extrely horrified and was suddenly speechless.
“You know very well yourself how things have ended up the way they are right now! Don’t keep blaming it on others. It was you who was wrong first! Gu Lingsha, if you continue being like this, then you really are beyond saving!”
