Outside the dreamscape.

Alola Town.

The church was already closed for the day. Many people had co to pray, so business had been good, but Elvire couldn’t shake a feeling of unease, as if soone was targeting her.

Her intuition had always been sharp.

But with Elise, Kate, and the Bell Ringer by her side, who would be bold enough to move against her?

’It seems impossible no matter how I think about it.’

’If it’s not they’re after, then it must be Sean.’

’Did sothing actually happen to that guy in the dream?’

Elvire sat in the front row of the Confession Room, her brow furrowed as she watched the three sleeping figures.

Elise, Kate, and the others were also by her side, their attention focused on Sean.

They had all been waiting outside the Confession Room, but this session of Entering the Dream was taking too long. With the prayers for the Day of Abstinence finished, they had co inside to watch over Sean and the others, just in case sothing went wrong.

Through the dark purple curtain, they could see Sean sleeping soundly, letting out soft snores with every breath.

But sleeping soundly didn’t an his dream was just as sweet.

Sopea had started weaving the dream for Sean in the afternoon. It was already nightti, the sky completely dark, yet he hadn’t woken up. Heaven knew what they were doing in there.

If Sean were being bullied out here, she could help him at any ti. But in a dream, she was completely powerless and could only wait patiently.

Elise looked at her anxious state, blinked, and asked, "Worried about him?"

Elvire, of course, wouldn’t admit it. "Who’s worried about him? I just think they’re taking too long. All of us are stuck here waiting. It’s a waste of everyone’s ti."

Elise covered her mouth, stifling a giggle.

She had been the one to agree to let Sean go with them to see Sopea, and she had also been the one to vouch for him, getting Sopea to do her a favor and help out.

Now that Sopea had co in person, she was starting to worry if that old crone would actually try sothing funny in the dream.

Dreams could kill. Others might not be able to, but Sopea definitely could. Both Elise and Elvire had personally seen Sopea trap people in dreams, making them mistake it for reality until they never woke up. This was likely the source of the young woman’s worry.

But Elvire seed to have completely forgotten that if Sopea truly couldn’t be trusted, why would she have agreed to let Sean ask for her help with Entering the Dream in the first place?

One could only say that her concern was clouding her judgnt.

As for Kate, who stood to the side, he had no relationship with Sopea to begin with. They only knew of each other by na, so there was no trust to speak of. Maintaining his usual domineering style, he snorted coldly, "If anything happens to Sean, I’ll make sure that old crone regrets it."

As if to reassure Elvire, the Bell Ringer, also dressed as a Priest, added, "You don’t need to tell . Anyone who dares to touch a mber of the Dawn Council in Alola Town is asking for trouble, even if it’s the Chairman of the Long Night Union himself."

That old man, the President of the Long Night Association, was indeed terrifyingly powerful. His title was "Night Watcher." Rumor had it that in a past life, he was one of Carl Black’s most trusted and formidable subordinates, having once served as a librarian in the Holy Sanctuary. Don’t be fooled by the unassuming post—aside from Blake himself, the most fearso people in the Hall of Truth were the librarians and the cleaning ladies.

It was because of him that the Long Night Union had survived the joint assault of the three great Witch Hunter Families a decade ago.

’If I were to asure us in terms of combat power, the Night Watcher is probably worth ten of .’

’But the Dawn Council is no pushover either.’

’Who says we don’t have an old master of our own?’

’Adelf isn’t necessarily weaker than the Night Watcher.’

In any case, the Bell Ringer was prepared to keep them here.

Had it been anyone else, his attitude might not have been so firm. After all, in this age of Witch Hunters, they were all allies on the sa side. They wouldn’t resort to violence if things could be resolved through negotiation.

But Sean wasn’t just anyone.

’I might walk with my head down, but I’m not blind. How could I not see how much Fla Crow cares about this man?’

’Elvire is my friend. A friend’s boyfriend is also my... friend.’

’So this matter is non-negotiable.’

’If Sopea dares to touch Sean, I’ll dare to use her head as a bell.’

’It’ll be a good chance to see just how big the gap is between a Tier Five at his absolute limit, like , and a true Tier Six.’

And so, everyone waited in the Confession Room.

They waited until the middle of the night, not even stopping for dinner.

Just as Elise, so hungry she couldn’t take it anymore, was about to order so late-night snacks, a sound finally ca from the Priest’s small wooden booth.

"THWACK."

Sean’s head slamd onto the small table inside the booth, making a crisp sound.

When Sopea had put him under hypnosis in the afternoon, he had been completely unprepared. As drowsiness washed over him, his body had instinctively propped up his head with one hand, saving him from banging it. Now, as he woke up, a mont of carelessness caused him to finally make that overdue impact, just like a student who had fallen asleep in class and was suddenly jolted awake.

He didn’t feel any pain, though.

Lucid dreaming puts a heavy strain on the mind, and this session had been particularly long. Sean’s first sensation upon waking was exhaustion. His eyes held a trace of confusion, and it took him a long mont to recover. Then he saw Elvire and the others all crowded around, staring intently at him.

"Huh?"

Sean thought his eyes were playing tricks on him, perhaps an echo from the dream bleeding into reality. He deliberately lifted the curtain to take a look and confird he wasn’t mistaken.

"What are you all doing here?" he asked, confused.

"Why else? We were worried about you," Elise said with a grin, glancing over at Elvire.

Elvire imdiately turned her head away and huffed softly.
