"Why would it be Sean??"

The mont this question appeared in Sopea’s mind, his head buzzed as if it would explode. Past mories surged forth like a river breaking through a dam, causing him to tremble uncontrollably.

Koni’s eyes went wide. Even with her hand over her mouth, you could see it was agape.

She stared blankly at the man who had turned his head, then back at the innocently-faced Sean beside her.

’...What kind of joke is this?’

’Lord Blake is Sean?!’

’Is there so kind of mistake??’

Disbelief was written all over Koni’s face.

It wasn’t that she wanted to doubt Sean. On the contrary, she had always believed in him. When he’d previously claid to be from the Hall of Truth, her first reaction was to think how amazing his past life must have been. But this—the idea that Sean was Blake—was sothing she didn’t know how to believe.

Ironically, it was her teacher, Sopea—who had previously refused to believe Sean had any connection to the Hall of Truth in his past life—who didn’t question whether Sean had secretly manipulated the dream to make Blake’s face look like his.

First, Sean wouldn’t dare. If Sean wasn’t Blake, doing so would be tantamount to offending a great figure. So jokes were not to be made.

Second, he was starting to rember... Lord Blake really did look like this...

It was only now that the slow-to-realize Sopea understood he had made a mistake.

He should have realized long ago that Blake was Sean.

He had been overlooking one thing all this ti.

He’d only considered that Sean had set up defenses for his soul in his past life, but he hadn’t thought about why the face in the sky was Sean’s current one.

If Sean were truly a Reshaper, then before his reshaping, he couldn’t have known what he would look like afterward. It would have been impossible for him to make his current face appear in the sky.

Furthermore, he should have trusted his instincts.

Given his status in the Sanctuary of Truth in his past life, there wasn’t a single Tier Ten he didn’t know. So why, of all people, was he "unfamiliar" with Sean?

A little reflection would reveal that there was only one possible explanation for this situation—

It wasn’t that he was unfamiliar with Sean, but that he had "forgotten" Sean.

This was just like those statues whose faces could never be seen clearly. Throughout the entire Era of Polymath, there was only one Wizard capable of erasing mories of himself from others’ minds, an effect that lasted for centuries and could even affect the souls of the Tier Ten: Carl Black.

Sean wasn’t a Reshaper at all.

Nor was he an Awakened.

He was an Immortal who had lived from the Era of Polymath to the present day, his appearance unchanging!

’Above Tier Ten, one truly isn’t afraid of the passage of ti!’

The return of relevant mories and the two identical faces made everything click into place for Sopea.

How did Sean get from Tier One to Tier Two in just one week?

How could a Tier Two reach the 3rd Floor of the Holy Hall, or even the fourth?

Because Sean was the Master of the Hall of Truth all along!

He is Carl Black—the original, un-reshaped Carl Black! How could his Talent and potential not be high?

How could the statues not acknowledge him?

In that mont, Sopea understood.

At the sa ti, he was numb with shock.

Carl Black glanced at him once before turning away. Ti resud its flow around them, as if nothing had happened.

But how could he possibly pretend nothing had happened??

’I saw Lord Blake’s true face!’

’I’ve peeked into Lord Blake’s secret!’

Sopea didn’t know why Lord Blake had changed his na to Sean, or why he had given up his Magic Power from above Tier Ten to start over... None of that was important, nor was it his place to ask. What was important was that Lord Blake had been by his side all along, and he hadn’t recognized him. Instead, he had been spouting nonsense...

’Why did I co to Alola Town again?’

’To settle a score??’

’Settle a score with *Lord Blake*?’

For a mont, Sopea was utterly speechless.

But Sean was sharp. Reading Sopea’s thoughts from his rapidly changing expression, he deliberately asked, "Is sothing wrong, Mr. Sopea?"

Sopea’s voice trembled. "N-Nothing..."

Koni didn’t even dare to breathe. She could only lower her head and sneak glances at the man beside her, her eyes filled with a mixture of reverence for a great figure and a fear that made it impossible to look at him directly.

"That’s not right." Sean ignored Koni for the mont and tilted his head at Sopea. "I seem to recall sothing. Weren’t you here to cause trouble for , Mr. Sopea?"

Sopea: "..."

’This is going to be the death of !’

"No, I wasn’t."

"Lord Blake, you must believe ." Sopea was drenched in sweat, all his previous arrogance gone. He bowed low, his hands clasped, his tone tinged with a rare panic as he hastily explained, "I ca specifically to help you recover your mories."

If he had known Sean was Carl Black, he wouldn’t have dared to speak of "settling scores" even if it killed him.

’If Lord Blake likes to tease Koni, then let him tease Koni.’

’It’s not like it’s real bullying anyway. Back in the Era of Polymath, countless people would have lined up for the chance to be teased by Blake, but never got it. It could even be considered a great honor. Based on my understanding of Blake, if there was any real malice involved, the person being "bullied" wouldn’t even have the chance to go ho and complain. Surviving for even one more minute would be a testant to their strength.’

Besides, the "bullying" itself was a fabrication to begin with.

Elvire had guessed correctly. Sopea’s prior act of wanting to settle the score with Sean was largely to save face for himself and Koni, and at the sa ti, to "make an example" of him—to show others that his, Sopea’s, apprentice was not to be trifled with.

But who in the world could have known Sean was actually Lord Blake!

’Koni, you’ve dood !’

Sopea’s heart ached with bitterness!
