Heinald's official title beca 'Vice Chief of Potions and Herbs Division', which gave him so rights. For example, under the pretext of working on a new potion for the clan, he had the right to request so resources from the clan. Although this right was not at all ethical, he intended to use it for his own benefit. He could carry out studies with the various resources he requested and even if he was successful in these studies, he could easily get out of the work by saying that he was unsuccessful.
But of course this would not continue all the ti, and after a while the situation would be understood and this would put him in a difficult position. So he intentionally planned to reveal so of his accomplishnts from ti to ti. Thus, the resources given to him would not be considered completely wasted, and resources would continue to be allocated to him.
** A few days later in Kunes' lab **
"Heinald, check this out!" Kunes lifted his head from the book in front of him and gestured to his young assistant standing in front of the next bookcase.
"Hm?" Heinald approached Kunes curiously.
"Do you know the Resi Tiger Eye? The fluid inside this eye was a strong tissue. It was quite resistant to lting." Kunes tapped the page twice with his finger.
"Oh? So you're saying..." Heinald's eyebrows arched.
"Yes! We can use it for a powerful mix!" Kunes had a lively expression.
The Poisoneater Potion was beginning to beco more and more ineffective. Clan mbers who were exploring the northern part of the region were safe by consuming this potion, but like every potion, its effect disappeared after a certain use. Other mbers were constantly sent to expeditions, extending this period as much as possible, but eventually almost everyone beca immune to this potion.
That's why Kunes and Heinald were consulted on a new solution. They started looking for a solution by spending all their ti on research. This ti they wanted to find a different solution than the potion. While potions were really effective, they were not a long-term solution.
It had co to their mind to find a mixture that was applied to the outer body. Thus, the whole body would be freed from the caustic effect of toxic gases and would not be ineffective after a while like an potion. But even if they succeeded, there would be two important elents: First, it would be necessary not to breathe in the toxic gases. So those who could hold their breath for quite a long ti would be able to explore, that those who could hold their breath for such a long ti should have been at least Level 1 Ainsar. This would greatly reduce the number of the expedition team.
Second, everyone would wear special a glasses which protect their eyes.
Of course, first of all they had to make this mixture first.
"Where can we find the Resi Tiger Eye?" Heinald asked.
"I will assign soone from the clan to search for shops in the nearest city. If not, we will have to expand our search area." Kunes stroked his beard.
After Heinald left the lab, he went straight to his room. Over ti, he transford his room into a small laboratory. He had every kind of alchemy tool he needed, and they were all for one purpose...
Starting the Spirit Potion experints!
It was supposed to be undisturbed and quite secret when preparing the Spirit Potion. So he would take care of this in his private room. He would even form a defensive formation in order not to compromise on security.
Heinald had learned a great deal of knowledge and experience of Potions and Herbs in recent years. He also had Moon Thief's eyes, but it would still be very difficult for him to produce a Spirit Potion because this potion had a more complex and difficult making phase than any potion he had previously produced.
"Sunrise Blood Flower, Moonlight Tree Leaf, Yernes Eye, Lisbon Herb Root and Fire Emrald Herb Extract ... All ready!" Heinald counted the materials one by one and checked their condition. Everything was ready, it was ti to start.
First, Sunrise Blood Flower had to be detoxified, which was one of the most toxic of all plants. Heinald began to remove the toxicity of the flower carefully using his Spirit Fla. But then sothing unexpected happened; the plant suddenly went completely black.
"What the hell?" Heinald cried in surprise. He was sure he didn't burn it because he could see that the blackening was not caused by burning. Heinald sent Magical Energy to his eyes, and he used his eyes to use it to its fullest extent and began to examine the plant. However, he could not understand what the problem was.
"I have to try again!" Heinald muttered.
He bought a new Sunrise Blood Flower and began to destroy the toxicity on him again with Spirit Fla. This ti he had focused all his attention and was following the process. The toxicity on the flower was slowly disappearing, but suddenly the flower began to darken again.
"No!" Heinald gritted his teeth, tossed the flower to the side, and sat down and began to think.
What was the problem?
Over and over again he envisioned the process but could not see what the problem was.
"Hm?" Heinald noticed sothing nervously looking at Sunrise Blood Flower.
He was wrong!
"They're burned! But how..." Heinald's eyes widened. He could now use the Spirit Fla and the Moon Thief's Eye in perfect harmony, and this brought him a great chance of success. He was sure that this flower had used enough Spirit Fla to eliminate the toxicity on it, but the results said the opposite.
He was so sure of himself that he could not see the flower burning at first, looking for another reason.
Heinald was very confused. He was sure he had adjusted the amount of Spirit Fla well, but he was not successful.
Why is that?
This question was constantly spinning in his head, he envisioned his experints over and over again, but he could not find the reason.
"The only way to find out the reason is to experint! Until I find the problem, no matter how many mistakes..." Heinald gritted his teeth, his eyes got red.
AGAIN!
Heinald reworked the whole process and again failed.
"Damn it!" Heinald took his face in his hands and began to think. He clearly rembered everything that was written in the formula book, down to the last detail. He even opened it and looked again in order to avoid a mistake, but there was no instruction he missed during the production process.
A fear began to arise within him that this formula might be incomplete or inaccurate. However, these thoughts were imdiately taken away from his mind.
There was a problem, and it was the burning of Sunrise Blood Flower. Heinald was sure that this flower was not supposed to burn, but it did. He had tried using too little Spirit Fla to harm its toxicity, and yet the flower was burned.
Heinald continued his experints and was able to figure out what the problem was on his fifteenth attempt. On his last try, he had seen sothing he hadn't seen before. The toxicity where the Spirit Fla was affecting had dissipated before the fla got there.
The toxicity on Sunrise Blood Flower was actually so kind of organism!
"I must distribute the Spirit Fla evenly everywhere!" Heinald had thought for a while and then decided how to proceed. In the past, the Spirit Fla was starting to send a Spirit Fla from a random area of the flower, so the toxicity in that area dissipated imdiately, so the Spirit Fla was directly damaging the flower. It would now prevent toxicity from escaping from a certain area by sending an equal amount to each area, but adjusting the amount of Spirit Fla would be much more difficult. It had to be much more precise than before.
The hours flew by quickly.
"Damn! I used all the Sunrise Blood Flower I had and I didn't get any success..." Heinald had an ugly look on his face. He hadn't even accomplished the first stage of the Spirit Potion making yet. There were many more stages to work on. For example, the Yernes Eye had to remove its retina and purify it by keeping it in Kucka Herb. If this purification ti could not be adjusted well, the function of the retina in the potion would be completely destroyed.
Even if Sunrise Blood Flower was successfully detoxified, it had to repeat the sa process on other plants.
Heinald created a schedule in his head. He would retreat to his room and work on this potion, after taking care of his chores next to Master Kunes every day. In order not to attract attention, he would say that he was researching a substance that prevents toxic gases.
Of course, in the anti, he would not neglect to go to the library and expand his knowledge. After all, the most important thing in this world was knowledge, and the more information you had, the stronger you were. He did not intend to waste his limited ti, especially on the second floor. His knowledge on that floor would probably be higher than he'd gotten elsewhere.
