Kayden saw Shadow grasp a fundantal law after several tens of millions of years of effort. This was sothing completely insane, as this kind of law was sothing that only a minuscule portion of the mage society would be able to grasp—only the true elite could reach that level, and yet he had managed to do it.

Just like Kayden had gone through a reality shock early in his life when he realized that mana was just a path but not the answer to everything, he was going through that now—the laws were a path, not an answer.

There were dozens of laws capable of generating the sa result, even though they were different things, and this could probably be expanded to every sense. All the laws already had sothing set. All laws were already frad within the universal systems and were part of a pillar.

Kayden could see mana interacting with the law the sa way a cat played with a thread of cloth. The two flirted and played, but in the end, the control of the situation wasn't in either of their hands. Mana was not the answer.

This realization made Kayden's mind explode and…The laws were not the answer.

This realization also made Kayden's mind explode and left him lost for the first ti in a very long ti. All his efforts up to this mont beca useless when he realized he would not be able to rise above the universe, above the truly genius mages, because he had rely pursued sothing already done.

Kayden might be the first in history in his path, but with all the certainty of the multiverse, he was not the first to use laws and this path for that purpose. Others had already reached where he stood through different ans, and that was probably one of the biggest shocks of his entire life—Kayden had wasted all that ti.

If all laws led to the sa end, if everything ended in the sa direction, how could he beco sothing beyond? How could he go beyond the title of challenger of the heavens—how could he truly face the heavens as a worthy opponent and not just an ant?

At that mont, Kayden had been trapped in the temporal bubble for a long ti. His strength had already reached an insane peak. He could easily extend his sixth sense over several dozen galaxies. Kayden was capable of manipulating several fundantal laws related to mana. The amount of mana he was capable of manipulating was insane.

Kayden could easily convert the equivalent of an entire universe of mana in seconds. He knew that with this power, he could already win the Championship of the Gods or at least be among the top contenders—but there would still be competition.

"This is close to the power of a god, but there are still other mages capable of reaching this level in the universe." These were Thoth's words before leaving Kayden alone. That was the day Thoth gave up on Kayden again.

The god knew Kayden was special, but even the most special mages eventually failed. Kayden had achieved surreal power, sothing that probably not even three mages in the history of this universe could achieve. But there was a huge problem—this was the peak of his strength.

Kayden had hit a ceiling. He had reached the absolute peak of the ninth realm—and really, of all realms. It didn't matter if he rose to the tenth or beca a demigod, the number of fundantal laws he had managed to grasp in this period and combine had reached a limit.

This limit existed simply because he was incapable of changing sothing fundantal, sothing far beyond his own control. Kayden understood each fundantal law in his repertoire perfectly, but in the end, those were laws that stood above him. They were immutable laws that could not be added to any others, which made it impossible for him to accumulate more power.

His strength had reached an unimaginable point. Kayden could easily destroy the entire universe as if it were absolutely nothing. He could convert his very existence into mana, but even that wasn't impressive anymore. Kayden had beco ordinary—not in the sense of power; he knew no mage was capable of matching him.

He rembered perfectly all the great nas of the universe and doubted any of them could stand toe-to-toe with his power. Thoth must have known sothing beyond what Kayden's knowledge implied.

The diocrity Kayden referred to was about not being able to pierce the bubble. It was about being powerful but still unable to go beyond. Kayden had reached the absolute peak of his power—he simply could no longer grow in any way.

All the other mages had received techniques from the gods that easily allowed them to grow infinitely—techniques that removed that limiter. Kayden could probably talk to Hypnos and get sothing like that, but the issue was that he would hit another ceiling and again be unable to break it on his own. And this would beco a cycle in which he would always need to cheat to achieve sothing.

Kayden needed a different answer, and he realized that. His ti was no longer the sa as before, but he had learned a lot in this period. Kayden had to go beyond. Kayden had to take a leap that would make him unique—truly unique. Sothing no other mage would be capable of matching, whether through the sa path or through other laws.

Of all his capabilities, he had sothing that made him unique in a way no other mage would be able to touch—at least not easily. Kayden possessed the Path of the Monarch. Not only that, he had it in a form superior to the ordinary. Kayden was the monarch of himself. That was his bet.

In seconds, Kayden broke all the laws within his body. All the laws he had spent trillions of years studying were forcibly removed. His power fell to the lowest state of all ti—he probably wouldn't even be able to face a tenth-realm mage at that mont. Kayden had beco the most ordinary of the ordinary.
