Chapter 183
'Gyaaah!'
The curtain in the infirmary suddenly transford into an amorphous monster and lunged at Eric.
Unless they defeated this monster, they couldn't free Vincent from the illusion.
Eric drew the sword from his waist and charged into battle to save his friend.
"Here I co, monster! Bring it o—"
"'White Nova'"
"Ah..."
Then, Reina, who was behind him, cast a spell.
Wrapped in white light... the massive, viscous monster vanished.
"Reina..."
"Lord Clael, I defeated it."
"Yeah. Well, I suppose you did..."
There was nothing wrong.
If anything, she should be praised for how fast she acted.
(But... how should I put it, it feels like she's being too rough with the main characters...)
Maybe... she's all we really need.
Poor Eric, who had drawn his sword and was about to face the monster, stood frozen in shock.
In the strange position of having just been about to swing his sword, he looked incredibly foolish.
"Um... Prince Eric? Are you okay...?"
"Ah, yeah... Mr. Byrne. And Reina too... thank you."
"It's nothing, but more importantly... shouldn't you check on Fla-senpai?"
"Oh, right... Vincent!"
"...Huh?"
As Eric rushed over... Vincent looked like he had just woken from a dream.
Freed from the illusion, he looked around the infirmary, now dyed bright red and turned upside down.
"I... what the? This is... the infirmary—whoa!?"
"Vincent!"
Vincent ca falling down from above. It seed he had been released from the reversed state.
Eric tried to catch him in a panic... and got crushed.
"Ugh...!"
"H-Hey, Eric... what are you doing under my butt?"
"Y-You fell from above, didn't you... More importantly!"
Eric crawled out from under Vincent and shouted upward.
Beside the bed above them stood 'she', holding dical tools in her hands.
"Hey, you!"
"............"
"Please, answer !"
Called out by Eric, 'she' wore a sowhat sorrowful expression.
And then... just like in the student council room, her figure began to fade.
"Answer ! Your... your na is...!"
"............"
"Ahh...!"
Without answering Eric's question, 'she' vanished like smoke.
"Damn... not again...!"
"Hey, Eric. Explain. What the hell is going on?"
Vincent grabbed Eric's shoulder, demanding an explanation.
"Why did she disappear? No, more importantly, who even is she...?"
"Vincent, you don't know her na either?"
"Huh?"
Eric began explaining everything that had happened to Vincent.
After hearing the full story, Vincent looked dumbfounded.
"Now that you ntion it... yeah, I don't know her na or even what class she's in..."
"So it's true... Who is she, really...?"
The two kept tilting their heads in confusion.
From the looks of it, the other two main characters probably didn't know her true identity either.
"Will and Luy must be sowhere too... I think they're probably safe, though..."
"Lord Clael, the evil presence has moved. Shall we go check it out?"
Reina tugged on his sleeve.
It seed that the Reverse Academy didn't intend to harm the main characters.
Perhaps... it was trapping them in illusions and draining sothing like their life force.
"Let's go."
In any case... they had no choice but to move forward.
Guided by Reina, the four of them headed toward the next room.
