From that point on, Wenyan never logged into social dia again.
Her task was complete, and it was ti to go ho.
But before leaving, she decided to give Shen Jinghe a heads-up.
“Big bro, I’ve finished up everything here, so I’m heading ho. Wish you a smooth shooting!”
After sending the ssage, Wenyan put down her phone and got ready to pack her bags.
To her surprise, Shen Jinghe imdiately replied: “Open the door.”

Though puzzled, Wenyan still took her phone with her to the door.
Peering through the peephole, she saw Shen Jinghe was indeed outside.
Wenyan imdiately opened the door.
Surprised, she said, “Mr. Shen? When did you get back?”
Shen Jinghe was as sparing with words as ever: “Just now.”
“Then…” Wenyan peered down the corridor in both directions, “no one saw you co to see , right?”
Shen Jinghe raised an eyebrow: “Why, scared?”
“Not at all!” Wenyan giggled, “What do I have to be scared of? I’m worried about you being frightened of people gossiping.”
Shen Jinghe scoffed, then handed Wenyan a plastic bag.
“Here, this is for you.”
Wenyan’s eyes widened in surprise: [Is he really being this nice to ?]
Hearing Wenyan’s internal monologue, Shen Jinghe said, “Mrs. Zhou asked
to bring it to you, said it’s a fruit that only grows in the mountains.”
“Is that so?” Wenyan was both curious and excited, “Then I must hurry and try it. Do you want so?”
“No need, I’ve already had so.”
“Then thanks!”
Having said that, Wenyan moved to close the door.
But Shen Jinghe clearly had no intentions of leaving just yet.
And Wenyan didn’t really plan to leave him standing outside like that either.
“So… Mr. Shen, is there sothing else you wanted?”
Shen Jinghe glanced at her: “There’s no one else here, no need to speak in riddles.”
Wenyan: [Who’s speaking in riddles?]
“What an unjust accusation! How is that speaking in riddles? I’m serious, Mr. Shen, do you need anything?”
Shen Jinghe cleared his throat with a hint of embarrassnt, “Just now… did you say you were thanking ?”
Wenyan blinked: “Yeah, thank Big Bro Shen!”
“Thanking
for what?”
“Thanks for bringing
fruit.”
“Is that it?”
“What else? Should I invite you in for a bottle of mineral water? Or maybe order you a milk tea later? How about so barbecue? Crawfish? Or maybe so desserts instead?”
“… Stop there, just go wash up and sleep if there’s nothing else.”
Wenyan chuckled, thinking to herself, “Shen Jinghe must be wondering why I’m not thanking him and his studio for their hard work these past few days. Seriously, doing good deeds anonymously, and then hoping to be thanked—he’s such a tsundere, only soone like him would do sothing like that.”

So she already knew.
Turns out she had just been teasing him a mont ago.
But he didn’t intend for her to thank him.
He just wanted her to be clear that she owed him a favor!!
However, if she didn’t bring it up first, he really felt awkward about ntioning it himself.
Forget it, Shen Jinghe told himself, just go back to his room first. He didn’t believe she could keep pretending not to understand forever.
Yet as soon as he turned to leave, Wenyan called out to him.
“Teacher Shen, wait a mont! Actually, Director Zhou already told
about the effort you’ve put in during this ti, and I’m truly grateful! The studio you lead is also top-notch in efficiency. I owe you a favor.
“But I haven’t thought of how to repay you yet, or maybe you can make a request. But definitely, treating you to a al is a must. How about we talk about it after you finish your shoot and return? What do you think?”

off.”
“Okay then, have a good trip, Teacher Shen!” [Not that she was planning to see him off anyway.]

After lying down in bed, Wenyan finally had ti to call Su Yang.
The internet had been abuzz lately, and Su Yang was very concerned about her.
“These past few days, going online felt like riding a roller coaster. I wasn’t even this anxious when your second brother debuted.”
“Because of the trending searches these past days?”
“Yeah. Thinking back, your second brother’s debut seed quite smooth, with mostly praise for him online. But when it ca to you, it was different; one mont there was a flood of people criticizing you and the next, a flood of supporters. It made
both angry and proud.
“Angry because so people were slandering you without understanding the situation, but then happy seeing so many people defending you and speaking up for you. Those people really know quality; the others just don’t see it.”
“Hehe! Bad publicity is still publicity; it ans I’m hot stuff now!”
“You’re still laughing. But honestly, I never expected you’d handle things so calmly this ti. I was worried you were too young and impetuous.”
“Not at all, I’m an adult now. And this ti, second brother helped
out a lot too.”
“Is that so?” Su Yang imdiately perked up, “How did he help you? Tell !”
Wenyan then recounted to Su Yang all the things Shen Jinghe had done quietly for her.
After finishing, she summarized, “I think second brother actually values family quite a bit, just that before there wasn’t a good opportunity. This ti, I just happened to be in the sa drama with him.
“Although second brother acts high and mighty, and that day in front of you and Dad he said he wouldn’t take care of , he still reached out to help
when I truly had trouble.
“So I believe that as long as we create the right opportunities, we can surely improve the relationship between second brother and our family. Becoming a loving and close-knit family is just a matter of ti!”
“Good Yanyan,” Su Yang felt warm just hearing this, “you really are our family’s little lucky star. I’ve noticed too that you and your second brother have been getting along better and better. We might need you to create more opportunities in the future.”

a family, and I will definitely contribute to this family too!”
“So when are you coming back? You said you’d take care of that matter after wrapping up the shoot, and now that it’s settled, aren’t you due back? You’ve been away for nearly two months.”
Wenyan was originally planning to return ho by plane tomorrow.
But she changed her mind on the spur of the mont, intending to surprise Su Yang.
So she deliberately made an excuse: “It might take a few more days; there’s a little thing I haven’t wrapped up yet. Once I take care of it, I’ll co ho right away.”
