“Well, it’s already past midnight. Big brother, today isn’t Friday, is it? You have to work so late on a workday, don’t you have to go to work tomorrow?”
Fatigue was evident in Shen Jingxiu’s brow, but he never complained about work matters.
He calmly explained to Wenyan, “Had to attend an international video conference. Couldn’t help it, we have ti differences with overseas partners.”

I have sothing I want to discuss with you. It’s really late today; I think you should wash up and go to bed soon. I won’t keep you up.”
His body and mind were sowhat weary, but if it was sothing concerning Wenyan, Jingxiu could actually handle it now.
However, since she wasn’t in a hurry, it was also fine to leave it until tomorrow.
“Alright, you should rest early too. I’ll co back earlier tomorrow,” he assured.
“Mm!” Wenyan nodded, then thought for a bit and asked, “How early can you make it? Why don’t you just co back and join
for dinner? In such a big house, at such a big dining table, eating alone can sotis be pretty helpless emotionally.”
“Okay. If anything cos up and I can’t make it back, I’ll let you know in advance.”
“Perfect! Then let’s go, upstairs.”
Saying this, Wenyan sprang up from the sofa.
Seeing her so full of energy, Jingxiu suddenly felt that maybe he wasn’t so tired after all.

“Oh, it’s big brother. Yeah, I wanted to take it easy for the day and save my appetite for a nice dinner with you tonight. I already told Zhang Sao yesterday that we’d have a feast today.”

“Get up and eat sothing light. I was supposed to have an outing this afternoon, but it got canceled due to the other party’s change of plans, so my afternoon is free now.”
Considering that Wenyan didn’t like to stay cooped up at ho, Jingxiu even made so plans before calling her.

up. I just checked on the map on my phone; it’s not on your way. I’ll have the driver take
there,” she proposed.
“That works. Let’s et at three then. You can leave around two twenty,” he said.
