"Report to the Lieutenant Colonel, I haven’t eaten yet," Xia You’s response was loud, causing other officers who occasionally passed by the Administrative Center to look over.

Not allowing subordinates to eat, a harsh treatnt toward female soldiers, Lu Xun knew, in the past few seconds, such thoughts had already rapidly sprouted in so people’s minds.

"You have five minutes to sort out your al," Lu Xun’s words made Xia You even more listless.

She had no choice but to go to the vending machine, bought a can of coffee and a spicy cup of noodles, and then followed into the elevator, the whole process definitely did not exceed five minutes.

Aside from having offended Lu Xun during her ti at the military academy, Xia You was sure that she had never had any other interactions with Lu Xun. If she had known that rejecting a man’s, ahem, a military man’s invitation would bring such serious consequences, Xia You swore that she would have rejected him in a more euphemistic manner last ti.

In the first interrogation room, not many people were present yet. Just after Lu Xun walked into the room, he turned on the room’s exhaust system.

Xia You saw this and her impression of him slightly improved; at least this man didn’t entirely lack redeeming qualities.

While she was finishing her noodles, Lu Xun was reviewing docunts.

When Xia You sucked in the last strand of noodles, Lu Xun lifted his head, "Did you type up this docunt?"

The docunt was indeed typed by Xia You. Her typing layout differed from that of a typical typist – the font was smaller, but the page looked very clean, just like the first impression she gave to others – not profound, but definitely unforgettable.

"Yes, it’s organized from this morning’s interrogation and hypnosis process." Actually, this morning’s interrogation of Li Zhen didn’t contain much content; Xia You could only piece together a complete process based on the limited data.

"Didn’t Lin Yi tell you when he recruited you that the docunts for the military region needed to be as concise and to the point as possible? Why did you also record the deanor of the interrogated criminal, gestures, and even the hypnotist’s actions?" Lu Xun called Xia You over just for this docunt.

"Just by recording the criminal’s dialogue, this text docunt would only need a hundred words. The reason I detailed the actions of the hypnotist and the criminal is to make it clear to the reviewer that this interrogation was not successful." Xia You’s mouth still had the sll of the noodles. She thought about her can of coffee, and groping on the desk, she discovered, quite remarkably, that the can had been opened and placed next to Lu Xun.

Lu Xun followed her gaze and saw the can of coffee. His face reddened instantly and he said directly, "If you want to drink, go buy another one yourself."

Xia You made an obscene gesture in her mind.

"Continue, then what do you think qualifies as a satisfactory interrogation," Lu Xun had understood the intention behind the typist’s docunt as soon as he saw it. Even after listening to the morning’s interrogation and the hypnotist’s feedback, Lu Xun also knew that the interrogation was unsuccessful.

"If possible, I would like to ask the officer to allow to participate in the interrogation personally, by my hand... I believe Sergeant Yu from the Ard Departnt has already reported to you that I also took part in that operation and had contact with the criminal." Xia You’s words also aligned exactly with Lu Xun’s thoughts.

Typically, when a normal interrogation reached a dead end, the interrogators would abandon the traditional interrogation model and use other thods for a breakthrough. There were long periods of confinent, as well as the strategy of playing to emotions by using family and friends.

The military had already investigated Li Zhen’s background; her parents had passed away years ago and she had no other relatives or close friends. The only people she associated with were church mbers, but those church mbers could be said to be completely unaware of this matter. Involving innocent people excessively in a case was not appropriate.

Therefore, for Lu Xun, who had interacted with Li Zhen and others at "Lanting," it naturally occurred to him to think of Xia You, who had also been undercover at "Golden Splendor" but ultimately failed to make any achievents due to personal reasons.

Lu Xun was a typical man of action, so upon finding a direction, he imdiately went to Lin Yi to requisition personnel, but Lin Yi was very uncooperative and said since his departnt was only responsible for paperwork, there was no obligation to participate in the interrogation.

Xia You was unaware of the silent battle that had erupted between Lin Yi and Lu Xun over her; she only knew that today’s Lu Xun, aside from taking her coffee, was rather cooperative. For instance, after she expressed her wish to participate in Li Zhen’s interrogation, he straightforwardly agreed and even led her directly into the first visit to the prison area.
