"How could that be? In Yimo Yisheng’s debut album, why would there be a photo of a woman? As everyone knows, Yimo Yisheng is gay," Mo Xixi said, sighing. The world’s good n are either soone else’s husband or serving other n. Won really have a tough ti.

Mo Xixi felt sowhat sad, losing even the desire to play with Maggie, so she left early.

In Xia You’s mind, that photo lingered. She could be sure that the person in the photo was a woman. Although, just as Mo Xixi said, the photo did not clearly show the person’s height or appearance, and the woman was squatting with her knees hugged, obscuring her face. But Xia You just knew that the woman’s silhouette gave her a sense of familiarity, as intimate as seeing herself.

In the courtyard where vegetation withered in autumn, a song suddenly flowed. It was Yimo Yisheng’s debut song, "Yimo Yisheng’s Angel."

We are nine angels who fell to the mortal realm,

Flapping our white wings,

God has given us blessings,

And also planted the shackles of fate,

You beca the lone free angel,

We beca the unfeeling Black Feather of calamity,

The helpless betrayal exchanged for eternal damnation,

We are waiting for your return,

Our bodies, our hearts,

Every minute and second, every mont,

Can only be decided by you.

The music kept spiralling, the man’s magnetic and llow voice softly sung through the phone’s speaker. At that ti, although Yimo Yisheng’s face was indistinct, his pure voice was utterly clear. Like a confession and yet unwilling, it even made Xia You, who doesn’t like music, feel a tremor at the bottom of her heart.

The music suddenly stopped, and the incoming call display flashing "Mo Xixi" interrupted the music and chords.

"I almost forgot, Major Lin called just now, during your call with Xiao Nan. He said he would pick you up at eight tonight," Mo Xixi thought, wondering if Major Lin intended to treat them. But if it was a treat, why did he only ask for Xia You alone? But then again, thinking about it, it’s better to avoid fox Lin’s ’treats’, lest one gets sold without knowing.

Xia You glanced at the ti; it was already half-past seven. She went into the house and saw Xia Yun dressed up, ready to go out.

"Xiao You, Mommy has so urgent matters and has to go out tonight, so I’ll leave Maggie with you," Xia Yun did not inform Xia You in advance. As far as Xia You could rember, Xia Yun almost never went out at night. She was either running the restaurant or tidying up the house. Her sudden departure tonight seed a bit strange.

"Okay," Xia You changed her words, swallowing the thought that she might be going out. Xia Yun must have been worried about Simon these past few days. It was good for her to go out and relax, at least to alleviate so stress.

Xia Yun nodded apologetically and stepped out.

"Mom left in such a hurry, she didn’t even prepare dinner for us," Xia Yun seed to have been really overwheld recently, even forgetting to make dinner. Xia You checked the refrigerator but could only find a few potatoes and onions.

Maggie sat at the dining table, holding a knife and fork, puffing her cheeks, and exclaid, "I want to eat, I want human rights." Xia You, hearing this, couldn’t hold onto the onion in her hand, which rolled away.

As she bent down to chase after the onion, she said, "You must have learned this pose and these words from Xixi," Xia You sighed. After living with Mo Xixi for a few days, that person was so lazy when it ca to als, she would only pick up her chopsticks, tap on the bowl, and urge Xia You to order takeout.

The purple onion was picked up, and just as Xia You was about to say thank you, she looked up into Lin Yi’s eyes. Lin Yi outside of work looked much kinder compared to when he was in the military region, at least kinder than the stern instructor Lu Xun or Yijie, that bald monk.

Xia You’s heart skipped a beat at the thought of these two people.

"Is Auntie not ho?" Lin Yi was pleased to see that there were no other people in the Xia Family’s dining room, except for the ’doll’ sitting at the dining table, staring with her big blue watery eyes.

"Handso uncle, are you here to invite us to dinner?" Maggie, like a little flatterer, jumped down from her chair, and fondly circled around Lin Yi. She didn’t want to eat sister’s cooking of onions and potatoes.

"Yes, I wonder if the two ladies would give the honor," Lin Yi looked at Xia You’s surprised expression, sowhat doubtful whether Mo Xixi had passed on his ssage.
