At three in the afternoon, Mo Xixi sluggishly climbed out of bed, brushed her teeth in a daze, and changed her clothes. The computer was still on the coffee table, displaying Ren Minghang’s information on the screen:
Ren Minghang, male, 22 years old. Graduate of the Hua Country Advanced Military Officers School, Longzhi Academy. Excellent graduate of Longzhi in the year 2064, currently working as an assistant teacher at Longzhi.
Family mbers include his grandfather, Ren Chicheng, the forr Marshal of Hua Country. His grandmother, He Ningxiang, daughter of a forr president of Hua Country. His father: Ren Shajun, a mber of the Hua Country Upper Parliant. His mother: Wang Shaofen, Deputy Director of the Hua Country News Agency. His elder brother: Ren Bao, Chief of Staff at the President’s Staff.
"This Ren Minghang, his family’s as impressive as an aircraft carrier’s lineup. We’re better off not provoking people like him," Mo Xixi marveled, observing a third-generation scion whose family spanned both the political and military domains.
After reviewing the information again, Mo Xixi found the apartnt still peacefully quiet. She went to Xia You’s door and saw a note saying: "I’m not feeling well, please ask for a night off for ."
"Xiao You, are you really sick?" Mo Xixi called out and opened Xia You’s door. The curtains in the room had yet to be drawn, and Xia You was lying in bed, breathing normally.
Mo Xixi wanted to ask more but then she thought that Xia You had seed fine yesterday and was only sick today, likely wanting to avoid Ren Minghang. It seed that Xia You was clear-headed; ordinary soldiers like them, if involved with soone from a "carrier-class family" like Ren Minghang’s, there wouldn’t be a happy ending.
She was right after all, Xia You was a straightforward person; rejecting soone like Ren Minghang took quite a bit of determination.
"I’d better keep my mouth shut," thought Mo Xixi, the main reporter of this operation. She was responsible for detailing her and Xia You’s daily activities and the people they encountered to Lin Yi. However, she always "carefully selected" each of her reports, and this ti would be no exception.
Mo Xixi closed the door and left a ssage on Xia You’s note. She was about to shut down the computer when a thought struck her. She had previously not paid much attention when accessing the A-level part of the national database. There was still ti before work, and with Xia You lying in bed, Mo Xixi felt bored being alone. What intrigued her the most was the information she couldn’t access.
The A-level information Mo Xixi could access probably accounted for only five percent of all A-level data. Ren Minghang was only placed at the A-level because of his family background. Since he hadn’t formally joined the army or entered politics, Mo Xixi could find his information. If he were to enter politics or the military in the future, his information would be relegated to the remaining ninety-five percent. By then, it wouldn’t be so easy for Mo Xixi to hack the data.
While she couldn’t view the detailed information of the remaining ninety-five percent, she could still see the last character of each person’s na. Mo Xixi scrolled up and noticed what seed to be Lin Yi’s "Yi" and the "Xun" of Lu Xun, the head of the Ard Departnt.
Out of the remaining A-level list, which included about a thousand people, all significant figures, Mo Xixi paid a bit more attention to the nas she "recognized," quickly scrolling past the rest. Her hand moved swiftly, reaching the last few lines.
"Huh, turns out there’s an S-level above A-level," Mo Xixi thought. She had never heard of S-level in Rand Military District. She would not have known about it if she hadn’t stumbled upon it by chance.
"The one at the top? Hmm, looks like it’s the president, and second... Chicheng. After the forr Marshal retired, the military didn’t select a new Marshal, so it must be the forr Marshal." Mo Xixi found it amusing to guess the identities of people at the S-level.
"Huh? The na in the third slot is blank. Even the national database can’t reveal that person’s real na? Skipping over, Vice Admiral Lin. Major General Ding. The chairs of the upper and lower Parliants, the Chief Justice of the Supre Court." Mo Xixi read through to the last person with S-security clearance.
"Is there only one character in this person’s na? I’ve never heard of soone in Hua Country nad ’Ling’ who’s ranked alongside top military and political figures," Mo Xixi wondered.
After looking through the twenty-plus S-class individuals, Mo Xixi couldn’t identify two of them, but the rest were all active figures. She didn’t give it much thought and, after finishing her work report for Lin Yi, she went straight to work.
Upon arriving at Golden Splendor, Mo Xixi overheard the receptionist gesturing and giving directions to a young man sitting on a nearby sofa.
She took a glance and recognized him as the "super carrier" she had previously described, Ren Minghang. It looked like he was here for Xia You.
"Xiao You has taken sick leave today and won’t be coming. You should go back," Ren Minghang heard soone talking to him and quickly stood up. Concerned after hearing that Xia You was ill, he said, "How is she? I’ll go take a look at her?"
"Don’t bother coming to see her. If you do, you’ll buy things haphazardly again. We haven’t even finished the fruits at ho yet. There’s too much to digest all at once," Mo Xixi insinuated, making Ren Minghang feel even more embarrassed.
Although he wasn’t skilled at pursuing girls, he was quick-witted. After Xia You gently declined him the night before, Ren Minghang planned to patronize the place every day and book Xia You’s whole shift, hoping that she would understand his attentiveness over ti.
Golden Splendor’s nights were brightly colored, while the old apartnt was dead silent, with no sound coming from Xia You’s room. (To be continued. If you like this work, we welco you to vote with your recomndations and monthly tickets at Qidian. Your support is my greatest motivation.)
