"I’ll support you," Ren Minghang blurted out, his entire face flushing with redness, while Xia You also realized that he probably thought she turned to this line of work out of financial desperation.

For a man to propose supporting a woman financially, it’s beyond a simple sentint of sympathy.

Growing up, Xia You had never been so directly hinted at like this. Was this man actually saying he wanted to support her?

"I an, I have so savings, you can continue your studies first, and after you graduate, you can pay back," Ren Minghang strained to grip the steering wheel, his palms so sweaty that he could barely hold on to it.

"Hehe, thank you for your kindness, Instructor Ren, but I’m not accustod to owing people favors," Xia You turned her face away and stuck out her tongue; she was soone who had long since graduated.

Was she refusing his help simply because he was an "outsider"? Ren Minghang misunderstood Xia You. It’s true, they had only known each other for a little over a month, and the Ren Minghang from before probably wouldn’t believe that in such a short period, he could beco so infatuated with soone.

"Since you’re unwilling, then I won’t insist," Ren Minghang had a new idea in mind; he first insisted on driving Xia You ho, then bought a lot of imported fruits at the supermarket, carried them down to her apartnt, watched her go up the stairs, and only after he saw the lights turn on in her old apartnt, did he leave.

Mo Xixi bit into a peach and then opened the fridge to look, indeed, there was a bunch of kiwis, mangos, and wax apples inside. "You say that Ren Minghang is just an instructor you t at Longzhi? But from what you’ve told , he seems more like a second-generation rich playboy without a brain."

If Ren Minghang had just put a little effort into it, the mont Xia You dropped out of school he could have imdiately tracked down the whereabouts of her records, and he would have discovered that her data could no longer be normally retrieved. Common citizens’ data must exist in the national database, only governnt officials and sensitive personnel’s data cannot be accessed normally.

It’s not that Ren Minghang couldn’t trace Xia You’s records, but that he didn’t like to do so. The reason he stayed in Longzhi, rather than going directly to the Rand Military District as his family suggested, is because although he yearned for the life of a military man, he was deeply unsatisfied with the almost omnipresent reconnaissance work of the Rand Military District.

As a child, due to his family’s work, Ren Minghang was protected daily by security personnel assigned by the military region. The overly protective environnt made it impossible for him to freely make friends. This situation only ended when he proved his self-preservation capabilities to his family after entering Longzhi Academy. Thus, Ren Minghang told himself that unless necessary, he would never casually use the convenience at hand to interfere in the private lives of others.

Moreover, by that ti, Ren Minghang was also trying to restrain his feelings, which led him to abandon the idea of seeking out Xia You’s information.

It was only after he encountered Xia You once more at "Golden Splendor," confirming that his feelings for her were inextinguishable, that he used so ans to dig out Xia You’s records. The information he saw had been specially processed by the National Security Departnt and was barely different from the data handed to the manager of "Golden Splendor." However, with the shrewd help of Mo Xixi, the part about Xia You’s graduation from university was hidden.

"No wonder she has to work outside," Ren Minghang sighed; the data ntioned that Xia You’s mother was a single parent, and her brother was a gangster recently involved in a police-killing confrontation.

"This ti, I won’t make the sa mistake as last ti," Ren Minghang shredded the data, thinking of Xia You’s warmth when he held her hand while going out today, and that girl with the stubborn eyes – he was determined to keep her safe in his embrace.

After Xia You finished the fruit, she left the fruit pits and peels for Mo Xixi to take care of, as their division of labor was always clear when they were together. One collected information, the other took direct action.

After altering Xia You’s data, Mo Xixi picked up a few more wax apples and started eating them in the living room. Seeing Xia You enter the room, she called out, "Are you interested in knowing Ren Minghang’s data? I have a way to access it."

"Not interested," Xia You had no intention of getting to know Ren Minghang further, her rejection tonight should have made her intentions clear to him. This kind-hearted and overly enthusiastic instructor was better suited for the simple, study-focused environnt of Longzhi. He seed to have a good impression of her, and if possible, she wanted to disappear completely from Ren Minghang’s view after completing the mission.

"Sotis you seem like a little sun, other tis like an iceberg," Mo Xixi helplessly bit into the pink fruit in her hand, Xia You smiled and closed the bedroom door.

"Hehe, even if you’re not interested, I am," Mo Xixi thought for a mont, not to pursue gossip is to betray her title of "Gossip Queen," she threw the fruit core away and her fingers started "clattering" on the keyboard again.

The password for the national database was etched in Mo Xixi’s mind; with a few clicks from her subordinates, a great deal of data appeared.

"Ren Minghang, he just looks like a regular teacher from Longzhi Academy, his data shouldn’t be too hard to find," Mo Xixi entered three characters.

The database’s data twitched and showed 0 search records.

Mo Xixi peeked at it and realized she had misspelled the last character; she corrected it, and this ti, three individuals with the sa na and surna popped up. (To be continued.
