Mimi’s eyes widened. She quickly turned to Gu Jin, who gave a small, serious nod.

"I... I didn’t know. I’m sorry!" Mimi said in a panic. "I didn’t an to say that!"

Gu Jin waved her hand. "It’s okay. Just be careful from now on."

With that, she turned and walked back to her own room.

Long Yifan followed her. Just as she stepped inside and reached to close the door, he pushed in and shut it behind him.

He looked serious. "We need to talk."

He waved his hand, and a soft glow appeared in the air. It was a sound barrier.

"No one can hear us now," he said. "Tell the truth. Do you really have the necromancer elent?"

Gu Jin raised an eyebrow. "And what if I do? That’s none of your business."

Long Yifan shook his head. Then, without warning, he stepped forward and hugged her tightly.

"You don’t understand," he said. "You really don’t know how dangerous this is. If people find out what you are... they’ll chase you. Use you. Or kill you."

He stepped back and looked around the room, as if searching the air. Then, with a wave of his hand, he pulled out sothing—thin and silver.

A bracelet.

"Here. Wear this," he said.

Gu Jin looked at it with suspicion. "What is it?"

"It looks like a thread," Long Yifan said. "But it’s actually an artifact. With this, no one below Transcendental Stage 2 will be able to sense your necromancer aura."

Gu Jin’s eyes narrowed. "Wait. You an people can sense it? Even now?"

Long Yifan nodded. "Yes. If soone really wants to find out, they can use divine rank artifact, and they’ll know."

Gu Jin frowned. "But from what I know, there aren’t any divine rank artifacts left in the world."

Long Yifan looked her straight in the eye. "That’s what most people believe. But they’re wrong. Every single country has one."

Gu Jin was astounded.

To think that she naively thought that since there was no divine rank artifact in the entire world, only little information about it... It was all a lie!

"They’re too dangerous," Long Yifan said in a low voice.

"One wrong move... and it can wipe out an entire continent. That’s why every country agreed, they must never be used unless the world is truly in danger."

Gu Jin’s eyes widened. "But... I thought they were just a myth. A legend."

"That’s what most people think," Long said with a small sigh.

"But the truth is, each major country keeps at least one Divine Artifact hidden. They’re locked away in secret places. Only the top leaders know where."

Gu Jin stared at the floor, silent. Her fingers tightened slightly.

"So you’re saying... if soone really wanted to find , they could use one of those?"

Long nodded. "Yes. If they had a reason. That’s why you must be careful with your necromancer powers. Don’t let anyone notice. Not even your friends. Until you reach the Transcendental Stage, don’t tell anyone. After that, there will be no problem in telling it."

Gu Jin looked up, her voice sharp. "Why only after I reach the Transcendental Stage? The elent will still be forbidden one and I still can’t show it to the world. "

"Yes," he said. "That’s why I’m trying to gather support. If I can get enough powerful mages and elders to agree, maybe we can change the rules. I want to protest the ban on necromancer elents."

Gu Jin stared at him like he had gone mad. "You... want to fight the laws of the mage world..." For ?

She didn’t complete her words, but she was sure that Long Yifan understood it.

Long nodded.

"Yes. What if they find you and use the law to force you? So by the ti you reach the transcendental stage, I will have more support and the laws will be changed. Then you can stand in the light and proudly admit you have necromancy elent."

She was stunned. "But why? You don’t need to do all this for . I can just hide it. It’s not that hard."

Long shook his head firmly. "You might be able to hide it now. But one day, soone might see. Soone you didn’t expect. What if they tell others? What if they attack you before you can explain?"

He reached out and gently held her wrist.

"I don’t want that day to co. That’s why I want to help change the world before it happens. So don’t worry."

Gu Jin looked down at their hands, her voice quiet. "You’re the worried one. Not . I ask you not to do it."

Long gave a helpless smile. "Maybe. But I’ll still worry. Even if you don’t want to."

He then pointed at the bracelet she now wore. "Never take that off. It’s the only thing that’s hiding your aura right now."

Gu Jin rolled her eyes. "Relax. I’m not stupid. I might throw away all your useless gifts, but anything that helps my survival? I’ll wear it even if my enemy gives it to ."

Long gave a small laugh. "That sounds like you."

Gu Jin gave a small smirk and stood up. "Anyway, I have sothing to do."

Long looked at her curiously. "Where are you going?"

"To the Void Gate," she said simply. "I need the temple keys."

Long stood up so fast that his chair almost tipped over. "Wait. That Void Gate? The one where mages go in and never co out?"

Gu Jin nodded calmly.

Long was quiet for a mont. Then, to her surprise, he said, "Alright. Then I’ll go with you."

She raised an eyebrow. "You’re not going to stop ?"

"No," Long said. "You won’t listen anyway. So I’ll make sure you don’t die. Not to ntion, your necromancy elent cultivation can soar if you go there."

Gu Jin tilted her head. "Strange. You’re being a lot more cooperative lately."

Long Yifan gave a soft laugh. "I’ve learned that you’re like a storm. You can’t stop it. You just try to survive it."

She chuckled lightly. "Smart choice."

Then she looked at him, a bit more seriously. "I rember that you have all the elents, right?"

Long Yifan nodded and explained, "I had necromancy elent, too, and so other forbidden elents, too."

Gu Jin looked curious. "So how did you deal with them?"

He nodded again. "I had to use rare cleansing stones. I didn’t want any of the forbidden elents to remain in . I only kept the ones I could use without putting a target on my back."

Gu Jin stared at him in disbelief. "You actually removed your own elents?"

"It hurt like hell," Long Yifan admitted. "But I had no choice. If anyone found out I had one of those forbidden elents, I’d be dead before I could defend myself."

Gu Jin blinked, trying to process what he said. "But... why go that far? You’re already so strong."

Long Yifan’s eyes darkened a little.

"Strength doesn’t protect you from fear. People don’t fear power; they fear what they don’t understand. Forbidden elents... they scare even kings."

He sat down on the edge of her bed, his voice softer now.

"I didn’t want to always look over my shoulder. So I destroyed those elents the mont they awakened in ."

Gu Jin was quiet for a long ti. Then she looked down at the bracelet in her hand.

"You really think my necromancy is that dangerous?"

"Yes," Long Yifan said without hesitation.

"Not because you are dangerous. But because others will see you as dangerous. And they’ll act first before they ever ask questions."

Gu Jin was silent for a long while, staring at the bracelet in her hand.

Then she slowly looked up and asked, "Should I just remove those elents too? Like you did?"

Hearing her words, Long Yifan’s face changed at once. He quickly shook his head.

"No! You can’t! Absolutely can’t allow you to!"

Gu Jin raised an eyebrow.

"Really? You sound like a hypocrite. You were ready to erase your own elent, but now you want to keep mine? Isn’t that dangerous for ? I’m like a ti bomb walking around."

Long Yifan pressed his lips tightly. He rembered the day he used the cleansing stone.

The pain had been unbearable, like his body was being torn apart from the inside. He had scread for hours. If he hadn’t had a high-ranked healing pill, he would have died that very day.

He looked into Gu Jin’s eyes, his face serious.

"Cleansing stones aren’t as perfect as they seem. If sothing goes wrong, you’ll die. I won’t risk that. If you truly think your elent is dangerous, then stay away from trouble. Don’t fight every battle. Just live safely."

Gu Jin stared at him for a mont, then sighed. "Fine. I’ll take a nap. Tomorrow, we’ll leave for Void Gate."

Long Yifan nodded and turned to leave.

Gu Jin watched him go, a little surprised. ’He didn’t say anything shaless this ti?’
