Once the movie was over, Gu Jin turned down Luo ng’s request to explore the market and returned to her dorm room
She felt a headache. If she hadn’t left, she would have said right to Luo ng’s face, that she doesn’t think anything could work out between them.
"What is wrong with Luo ng? Why is he...ugh...I should just focus on my cultivation." Gu Jin muttered.
With a summoning elent, Gu Jin was truly excited.
Earlier she didn’t try for summoning elents purely because there wasn’t an elental stone for summoning elent.
Actually, there were so but they were all low-grade. She didn’t know how Long Yifan had SSS-Rank summoning elental stone.
She enters her space and says,
"Book on summoning elent."
As soon as Gu Jin spoke, a thick, old book appeared in front of her.
The cover was dark blue with golden patterns, and the title "The Art of Summoning" glowed softly.
She reached out and touched it, and the book opened on its own, flipping pages quickly before stopping at a specific section.
Gu Jin leaned in and began to read.
"Summoning Elent: The path of summoning allows the user to form contracts with two kinds of beasts. The first type is a Contracted Beast.
These are real-world beasts that must be tad before forming a bond. The second type is a Summoned Beast. These creatures exist in the Summoning Plane, a mystical realm filled with countless beasts waiting to be chosen."
Gu Jin’s eyes brightened with interest.
"To contract a real-world beast, one must first defeat or gain its trust. Once the beast submits, the summoner can use mana to form a contract. The stronger the beast, the more energy required."
Gu Jin nodded.
That sounded straightforward. She had heard of people forming contracts with beasts before, but she had never considered it for herself.
Now, she had the chance to try.
Her fingers traced the words as she read further.
"To obtain a Summoned Beast, the summoner must enter the Summoning Plane. This requires strong ntal power. In the Summoning Plane, beasts will test the summoner.
If a beast accepts the summoner, a contract is ford, and the beast can be summoned into the real world at any ti. However, if the summoner fails, they will be rejected and forced out."
Gu Jin’s heart raced. This was even more exciting.
If she could enter the Summoning Plane, she could find a unique and powerful beast to fight by her side.
The book continued with a warning.
"The Summoning Plane is dangerous. Many beasts will refuse a contract. So may even attack to test the summoner’s strength. Only those with great willpower and talent can succeed."
Then, her eyes landed on another part of the text that made her pause.
"Each summoner has a limited number of contracts. Once a beast is chosen, it cannot be undone. Choose wisely."
Gu Jin frowned. That ant she had to be careful. If she picked the wrong beast, she would be stuck with it forever.
But that didn’t scare her. Instead, it made her even more determined to find the perfect one.
At the bottom of the page, there was an extra note:
"Legend says that rare summoners can form contracts with both a Contracted Beast and a Summoned Beast.
This is extrely rare and requires imnse ntal strength. Only those with great talent and destiny can achieve this."
Gu Jin’s hands clenched into fists.
"A Summoned Beast and a Contracted Beast?" she whispered. "If it’s possible, then I’ll do it."
Gu Jin took a deep breath and turned the page. The next section of the book contained detailed instructions on how to enter the Summoning Plane. Her eyes skimd the words carefully, absorbing every detail.
"To access the Summoning Plane, one must prepare both ntally and physically. The process requires a stable environnt and the correct materials to open a summoning gate.
A summoner’s ntal power will be tested the mont they step inside. If their mind is not strong enough, they will be rejected imdiately."
Gu Jin narrowed her eyes. ntal strength had never been an issue for her, but she knew she had to be fully prepared. She continued reading.
"Materials Required:
A Summoning Stone: The higher the grade, the stronger the connection to the Summoning Plane.
A Beast Blood Catalyst: A drop of essence blood from any magical beast, preferably a strong one.
A Convergence Formation: Drawn using a mixture of spirit ink and mana to stabilize the gateway.
A ditation Core: A crystal infused with mana to help maintain ntal balance."
Gu Jin frowned slightly.
Those were rare stones.
If she wanted to buy one, she would need to wait at least 2 years. Even with connections she would require 1 year.
She flipped the page, and more information appeared.
"The summoner must set up the Convergence Formation in a quiet and undisturbed space. The Summoning Stone must be placed at the center, with the Beast Blood Catalyst spread around the formation.
The ditation Core should be held by the summoner to maintain clarity of mind. Once ready, the summoner must channel their mana into the stone, activating the gateway."
Gu Jin tapped her fingers against the book. This process was complex but not impossible.
"Once the gateway is activated, the summoner will be pulled into the Summoning Plane. The journey is ntally exhausting, and losing focus could result in failure.
Inside, the summoner must seek a beast willing to form a contract. If no beast accepts, they will be ejected from the plane and must wait before attempting again."
Gu Jin’s lips curled into a determined smile.
"This doesn’t seem too difficult."
Other materials weren’t a problem. The main problem was...
Summoning Stone.
Gu Jin decided to explore the Beijing University’s market.
She walked through the busy market of Beijing University.
The air slled of roasted at and sweet pastries, but she ignored it. Her focus was on one thing—the Summoning Stone. She stopped by different stalls, asking sellers if they had one.
"Summoning Stone?" a man with a long beard laughed.
"That’s rare. You won’t find one here."
"I heard soone sold one year ago, but not anymore," another seller said, shaking his head.
Gu Jin frowned. It seed impossible to find the stone. Just as she was about to leave, a voice whispered from behind her.
"Looking for a Summoning Stone?"
Gu Jin turned and saw a young woman wrapped in a black cloak.
Her face was mostly hidden, only her lips visible under the hood.
"Yes," Gu Jin said, watching her carefully.
"Follow ." The woman turned and walked away.
Gu Jin hesitated for a mont but decided to follow. She moved through the market, past small alleys, until they reached a dark corner between two buildings. The woman stopped and pulled out a small, glowing stone from her cloak.
"Here," she said, handing it to Gu Jin.
Gu Jin took the stone and examined it. It was blue and faintly glowing, but sothing felt off. She channeled a small amount of mana into it, and the glow flickered unnaturally. Her eyes narrowed.
"This isn’t a real Summoning Stone," she said and passed it back.
The young woman didn’t move. "It’s real," she insisted. "300 million yuan. Take it or leave it."
Gu Jin let out a short laugh and turned away. "I’m leaving."
Just as she stepped forward, five figures erged from the shadows. They surrounded her, blocking every escape.
One man cracked his knuckles. "You shouldn’t have done that."
Another pulled out a short blade, its edge gleaming under the dim light. "Hand over all your money."
Gu Jin’s eyes stayed calm, but inside, she was annoyed. "A scam and an ambush? How boring."
The young woman took a step forward. "You’re smart. But it doesn’t matter. Give us everything you have, or we’ll take it by force."
Gu Jin sighed and flexed her fingers. "Since you want to do this the hard way..."
The air around her changed. The attackers felt a sudden pressure as if sothing dangerous had been unleashed.
Gu Jin felt her body freeze in place. A dark force wrapped around her limbs like invisible chains. Her fingers twitched, but she couldn’t move.
"Shadow Elent," she murmured, her eyes narrowing.
A figure stepped out from the crowd—a tall man with cold eyes, his fingers stretched towards her, controlling the binding force.
"Smart girl, but you’re still trapped." He smirked. "You should’ve just handed over the money."
The others chuckled, their weapons gleaming under the dim light.
The woman in the black cloak folded her arms, watching with amusent.
Gu Jin took a slow breath, then closed her eyes. A faint green glow pulsed from her skin.
"What is she doing?" one of the thugs muttered.
A second later, dark vines shot out from the ground, laced with a faint, sickly purple hue. They curled around her captors’ ankles.
Before they could react, the vines tightened, sharp thorns digging into their flesh. One of them scread, clutching his leg as poison seeped into his veins.
