Song Hancheng’s excitent was palpable as he reiterated,
"Yes, Qing! Boss Su is opening a new branch and he’s agreed to let you manage it! This is your chance to get a stable job and improve your situation."
Su Qing’s eyes widened, disbelief and hope mingling on her face.
"Are you serious, Hancheng? He really agreed?"
"Absolutely," Song Hancheng assured her, squeezing her hand gently, "You just need to pass test her."
Su Qing was instantly nervous,
"Test? What test?"
"Honestly I too don’t know. But as far I know, boss Su is very generous and won’t make things difficult deliberately!"
"I’ll do my best, Hancheng. I really need this chance." Su Qing couldn’t help but mutter.

Gu Jin finally spoke, her tone calm and asured.
"Su Qing, I understand you’re eager to take on this role.
Managing an alchemy shop requires not just attracting custors but also handling custors, managing inventory, and maintaining the shop’s reputation. Do you have any prior experience?"
Su Qing tensed up but she tried to sound confident and said,
"Boss Su don’t worry, I have good alchemy skills and I promise to learn managent from Hancheng."

Out of all the skills that Gu Jin listed, she didn’t excel in anything.
Now Su Qing started to feel whether she was even worthy of the job.

Su Qing felt very disappointed. She scolded herself for being an introvert. If only she had focused on her communication skills like Song Hancheng she could have secure this job.
Gu Jin’s next words confird Su Qing’s fear,
"You are not suitable for this job."
Su Qing’s face turned stiff and for a mont she didn’t know how to react.
Su Qing’s heart was thumping with fear, nervousness, and panic.
Should she beg boss Su? Or should she preserve so dignity and leave the room?
After all, it is indeed humiliating for any candidate to be rejected within 2 questions, right?
But her current situation didn’t allow her to preserve any dignity.
Just as Su Qing was lost in her thoughts, she heard Gu Jin’s voice,
"However there is a job that might suit you..."

Other than managing what other job was left?

"While managing an entire branch might not be the best fit for you right now, I believe you can try to be the alchemist of the shop."

All the alchemists made many small mistakes which snowballed into a bigger mistake, that prevented them from advancing.

"Huh? Truly?" Su Qing was skeptical.
She didn’t get excited instantly.
After all, to raise alchemy cultivation there are various ways and those ways can’t guarantee success at all!
Though Boss Su doesn’t seem like a bad person, a bad person never shows that he is bad on his face.

"Humans can never fail. They can either succeed or give up. A person who says that he failed ans he didn’t try enough."
Gu Jin’s quote stunned Su Qing.

As long as she doesn’t give up, she will definitely succeed!
However, there was still a problem,
"But I am truly in need of a job. My dad..he is ill."
Gu Jin raised an eyebrow.
This was the reason why Su Qing was so desperate.
Gu Jin proposed,
"How about this? I will cure your father and let you sell your apprentice-level pills in my store, I will improve the quality of the pills and you can give a cut of 40% from the profit.
I will provide you with the material and I will be responsible for guiding you. How is the offer?"
