"Are you sure that she will agree to help do sothing like that?" Adrian asked Alex as they were getting closer to the reception of the guest inn.
He was doubting if Xiao En was going to help them acquire what they wanted, in spite of the money that Alex was going to offer her.
"We'll just have to find out after trying," Alex answered as they stepped into the vicinity of the reception. He Looked at Xiao En and grinned as he approached her.
The receptionist, Xiao En, gave Alex a weird look when she saw him approaching her with a grin. 'Did this boy fall for after I helped him back to his room yesterday? Ahh, I guess he can't help himself, I an who wouldn't fall for a beauty like ?' She sighed.
'He's rich, a little bit cute, but unfortunately, He's too young for my liking. Maybe I can trick him into giving all his money, then I'll dump him.'
"Hahahaha." Xiao En started to laugh at her ideas.
Her laugh threw Alex off for a mont and his grin disappeared. "Why are laughing?" was the first thing he said when he was in front of her counter.
"Aren't you here to give money?" She asked unconsciously as she was trying to contain her laugh.
Alex raised his brows in surprise, and so did the rest. They were also wondering how she knew what they were about to co and do. "How did know that I was coming here to do that? Were you listening to our conversation?"
"Hehehe." Xiao En cackled.
"You naughty boy. I'm going to let this slide because you are going to give money, but only this once. Now hand it over." She used a girlish tone to speak. Xiao En closed her eyes and shalessly stretched her hands out, waiting to feel sothing on her hands.
"But I haven't told you what we need." Alex was confused now.
"We?!" She exclaid.
"Yeah, we need you to help us with sothing, and in return, I will pay for your services." Alex briefly explained.
"Oh, I thought" She felt dejected but that feeling quickly disappeared when it hit that Alex was going to pay.
"What did you think I was coming here to do?" Alex questioned.
"That's none of your business."
She cleared her throat and pretended to adjust her cloth. "What is it that you need from ?" Her tone went from her the girlish one that she was using when she was day dreaming, to a serious and stern one.
"A huge bathtub and a very huge bell. And also a private open space that we can use." Alex stated.
"A large bell and bathtub? An open space? Are you trying to fulfill so kind of sexual fetish of yours? A twisted mind you have there, shaless I must say. Public sex in a bathtub, beside a huge bell. Are you-"
"What the hell are you talking about?" On Alex's face was an expression of disgust. He stepped back and looked at Xiao En like she was a contagious disease.
"No one here is thinking of doing that." Drake cleared out.
"We just need it for training, private training." Katherine blushed as she began to imagine her and Alex doing what Xiao En said.
"The hell are you thinking about now?" Drake flashed a look of disgust that was similar to the one that Alex flashed at Xiao En.
"Indeed," She leaned back and folded her hands over her chest, then looked at them suspiciously.
"We don't have the intention to do that or anything like that. We just need a place to practice privately, nothing illegal." Alex cleared out.
'Like having sex in public isn't illegal, vulgar children. I've got my eyes on you guys.' She said to herself as she eyed all of them one by one.
"How much are you offering?" She asked.
Alex smiled when he heard that. "How about 1 green HD-EC and 5 green LD-ECs?" He asked and leaned on the counter.
['Woah, woah boy. That's way too much money for just those things. Please be rational about this.'] Al pleaded.
['Oh, that's way too much? To , that sounds like it's not enough. I guess I should increase the energy crystals I offered.'] Alex responded.
['No, no. chill rabbit. Chill, it hasn't gotten to that level yet.']
['Oh really?']
['Guys, please talk so sense into him, Lex, Xander don't stay silent when I need your help.'] Al cried.
['Don't involve in your own problem.'] Xander refused him.
['I also don't want to be involved in your problems.'] Lex refused him too.
Alex chuckled at his alters' replies.
"It's a deal then. When and where do we et you to get the things that we need?" He questioned.
"Follow , I'll take you to a private open space." She stood up and walked down the sa hall that they walked out of.
Knowing that the halls were like wrap gates, they followed her with no doubt in the minds.
After walking for roughly 5 minutes, they arrived in an open grassy field. At the end of the field was a river. The scene was breathing taking one. They turned back and looked at where they just ca out of, and there was nothing but a mountain behind them.
"I didn't know that we had a place like this in the school." Katherine blurted out.
"This is the backyard of the guest inn, you can do what you want here but don't destroy this place." Xiao En said.
"I will go and get what you asked for now. Prepare my paynt before I co back." She walked right into the mountain and passed through the walls.
['We have only started alchemy. But what I really wanted to learn first was runes, and I don't think Nana would be okay with wanting to change majors now.'] Alex reasoned as he was once again marveled by the amazingness of runes.
Xiao En ca back a while later and presented them with a huge wooden tub and giant bronze bell. "My paynt?" She requested.
"Here, nice doing business with you." Alex gave her the energy crystals
Alex set the whole thing up for Adrian, he filled the tub up with water from the river and asked Adrian to step into the tub. After that, they put the giant bell over the tub and trapped him inside.
"What do I do now?" Adrian asked from within the darkness under the bell.
"Just sit back and try to rge with the sound waves.' Camron answered. Rembering the experience that he had in the dark abyss cultivating room that he used.
"Okay, let's start." Adrian sounded nervous and excited too. He was eager to see if Alex was right or not.
"Drake, will you do the honors of ringing the bell?" Alex picked a chain that was connected to the clapper of the bell.
"Sure," He collected the chain from Alex's hands.
"Adrian, you ready?"
"Yeah,"
"System, X-ray vision," Alex whispered.
*Activated.
"In 5, 4, 3,-"
-Ding!!!
Drake pulled the chain and startled everyone there but Alex, he expected sothing of the sort from Drake.
"Argh!! You bastard!!! My ear drums!!!" Adrian shouted from within the bell.
Alex had been watching intently when Drake rang the bell. When the sound waves hit Adrian, the bubble coming out of his head increase in size and quantity. They lasted longer than the first ti Alex saw them and when they burst, the lights were brighter than before.
"I think it's working," Alex ntioned while Adrian was still cursing at Drake.
"Drake, ring it again. Make it louder this ti." Alex directed.
"Are you sure?" If I ring it any louder than I did, then he might really rapture Adrian's ear drums.
"Just do it," Alex uttered.
Drake hesitated before he rang the bell again, this ti it was twice as loud the first ti.
-Ding!!!!
"Arrgh!!!" Adrian used his hands to cover his ears from the sound waves that were assaulting him.
"Alex," Camron started to doubt Alex's approach to this.
"Just wait for a mont." Alex silenced him.
He continued to watch new things happen to Adrian as the sound wave hit his body. The bubbles that were only coming out of his head before started to respond to the shouts and movents that Adrian made. As he shouted the bubbles got bigger and enveloped his whole body, when the bubbles burst the light gets absorbed into his body.
['Amplify the sound with your spear.'] Al suggested.
"One last ti, Drake. Quickly before it stops." Alex commanded.
He walked towards the bell, when he was in front of the bell he removed the spear from his ring and shouted; "Do it now Drake!!"
"Alex, what are you trying to-"
-Ding!!!
Drake rang the bell and the sound over shadowed what Camron was saying.
Alex tightened his grip on the spear. He began to twirl it.
-Ding!!!!
Alex struck the bell with his might behind the spear. He struck with the intention of breaking the bell. But to his surprise, the bell was stronger than he thought. The rebound from his hit made him let go of the spear in his hand as it began to vibrate violently. Because of the extra hit that Alex added, the noise that the bell made was so loud that the rest had to cover their ears with their hands.
"Adrian!?" He called out and waited for a response but didn't get any.
"Sh*t," He exclaid and they quickly raised the bell.
To their surprise, all they saw was the bathtub broken into pieces. Adrian was nowhere to be seen.
