Chapter 262: Chapter 142: Heart of the Machine
"The team competition lasts for half a month, and that’s indeed enough ti to accomplish many things."
"Moreover, mbers of the sa faction will appear in nearby locations. Take Divine Strategy Academy as an example; if they choose to spend a certain amount of exploration ti cooperating, then... it’s quite possible for them to make sothing of it."
"Greater combat power ans more rewards."
Understanding the opponent’s plan, Qin Jin’s thoughts beca much clearer.
In a sense, the opponent is trying to leverage what they do best, dragging this competition into their comfort zone.
With his mind racing, he looked towards Chi Wenwu behind him and said, "Have you discovered anything?"
"Not yet."
Chi Wenwu shook his head, the look in his eyes as he glanced towards Qin Jin still held so agitation: "In this first exploration, we’ve been sent to the outskirts of the civilization ruins, where high-value items should be scarce."
"At present, it’s still uncertain whether our initial teleportation locations in the next explorations will be deeper."
As he spoke, he seed to realize sothing: "Qin Jin, did you co over because you heard the commotion here?"
"Yes."
Qin Jin nodded: "The wristwatch has faction information. Contestants of the sa faction will be sent to nearby areas."
"So certain?"
Hearing Qin Jin’s words, Chi Wenwu looked deeply at Qin Jin: "If that’s the case, Qin Jin, continue searching according to your own ideas."
Qin Jin looked at him and asked, "What are you planning to do?"
"I’m going to look for other classmates."
Chi Wenwu spoke candidly: "Hadn’t you arrived in ti, my search would already be over."
"With your strength, I can’t be of much help. Since that’s the case, I’ll go do sothing I can contribute to."
"I’m not particularly interested in advancing to the individual battles; I just want our Martial Abyss team to perform well in the team competition. By finding others and arranging for a way for everyone to connect during the next search, it’s a contribution to the team."
Qin Jin’s expression remained unchanged; he did not stop him and said, "If you want to gather during the next search, you could use the fixed retreat points."
Chi Wenwu imdiately understood, nodding in agreent: "You’re right. The fixed retreat points in a region are limited. We could designate one retreat point in a specific direction as the gathering place. There might be discrepancies, but the chances are greatly increased."
"Additionally, it’s best to find Han Miao first."
"Han Miao?"
Chi Wenwu looked at him: "What do you an?"
"Han Miao and I have participated in academy tasks together."
Qin Jin’s voice was calm: "If we can gather everyone, combined with Han Miao’s innate ability, it will be much easier to communicate."
"I understand."
Chi Wenwu nodded solemnly.
Under Qin Jin’s gaze, he turned and left.
Qin Jin took out his wristwatch for reference.
Chi Wenwu’s chosen direction was unexpectedly the location of another fixed retreat point.
"Though dangerous, it’s indeed the most likely place to et others."
A thought flashed through his mind.
Qin Jin quickly left.
...
In the midst of the dilapidated streets.
Qin Jin stepped forward.
On both sides of the street, what seed to be factory-like buildings in the past scattered with many tallic chanical remains on the ground, appearing like parts from humanoid or beast-shaped chanical bodies.
"Information can also be exchanged for points. In this team competition, we must also figure out the detailed information about these civilization ruins and understand why this place turned out this way."
A thought flashed through his mind.
He took another step forward.
With so perception, his eyes suddenly narrowed, looking ahead.
On this desolate street, the wind and sand whipped up, and on the ground, those chanical remnants began to tremble, suddenly rising, and sweeping towards the center of the street.
Under Qin Jin’s gaze, a core component shaped like a black box rose into the air, suddenly erupting with energy waves from its dormant state. The surrounding chanical limbs gathered instantly, along with broken stones, assembling around the black box before Qin Jin’s eyes in monts.
This was a chanical monster, over three ters tall, pieced together in a chaotic manner, forming a humanoid shape. Its broken circuits and tallic gaps intertwined, possessing a peculiar beauty.
After forming, it targeted Qin Jin directly. Its two chanical legs, one thick and one thin, charged towards Qin Jin.
Qin Jin raised an eyebrow slightly.
"This should be a ans left by the original civilization."
A thought flickered in his mind. He controlled his storage equipnt, a flash of light appearing, and the previously obtained Light Saber landed in his hand.
The Light Saber flickered intermittently.
Qin Jin grasped the hilt, his right leg stepping down, his body soaring.
In a mont, he approached the chanical entity.
The opponent did not possess a weapon; its assembled chanical arm swung towards him. Qin Jin sidestepped, lifted the Light Saber, Primordial Power flowing into it like a trickle, the saber glowing brightly as he directly severed one arm.
This Light Saber itself was overly old and its energy core damaged, thus... Qin Jin was particularly cautious in using it.
The arm dropped to the ground, accompanied by energy fluctuations that reappeared, trembling slightly. The arm unexpectedly rose again, showing signs of reassembly.
"It can restore itself?"
Those chanical remnants had extrely low value, but the core black box undoubtedly seed worth collecting.
He approached with the Light Saber, wary that lightning and fire might be too explosive and directly destroy the black box, preparing to disassemble the entity.
But now.
Given the restoration signs, Qin Jin decisively changed his mind. As the chanical entity’s other arm swung at him, he did not evade. The Primordial Power surged, forming a barrier intercepting to his side.
