Chapter 1112: Chapter 1111 Leng Yao: Master Cen Ci, I’m afraid he won’t make it through this winter.

“Did she admit to it?”

Principal Lin exclaid loudly while pulling Chang Yang along.

“No, how did you find out?”

“Also, how did you manage to transfer the files to my computer?”

Principal Lin fired off one question after another, staring at the computer. Apart from lanting how deep Lu Yutian’s scheming went, he was more in awe of Lu Mian… amazing.

Lu Mian smiled faintly.

The recording wasn’t obtained; she recorded it herself that day.

When Lu Yutian ca to the house with an air of arrogance, she knew it was ti to turn on the recorder.

Sotis, it’s better to be prepared.

Indeed, it proved useful.

Although she didn’t care about how the rumors spread about her in school or how others viewed her.

Lu Mian dealt with the matter efficiently and dispassionately, without any emotional involvent.

As she was about to leave the principal’s office, the door was already opening.

Lu Mian shifted slightly to let the newcor pass.

Several people carefully carrying wooden boxes walked in. As they passed by her, they sternly warned, “Watch out! Don’t damage anything!”

Lu Mian had to take a few steps back.

More people followed, slowly bringing in more boxes.

Principal Lin’s attention was drawn away from the computer.

He paused montarily and then happily approached the group of people.

“These were sent over by Miss Leng?”

Before the workers could respond, a young female voice rang out from the doorway.

“Principal Lin! It’s !”

The girl spoke as she entered the office, “Principal Lin, please don’t stand on ceremony with . I’m an alum of Qing University; just call Leng Yao. Please don’t call Miss Leng!”

Principal Lin laughed heartily, “Alright, alright.”

Leng Yao?

Standing to the side near the doorway, Lu Mian looked over towards Principal Lin upon hearing the na.

The girl who called herself Leng Yao was dressed neatly in work clothes and sports shoes, her high ponytail tightly fastened.

For a mont, she recalled the na from an exhibition she had attended with her mother.

Leng Yao, Master Cen Ci’s closed-door disciple.

Her steps paused, a faint interest showing between her brows.

Leng Yao hadn’t noticed Lu Mian standing there. After the workers put down their things, she dismissed them.

She personally opened each of the five wooden boxes on the floor and introduced, “Principal Lin, this batch of Qinghua porcelains from the Jiaqing period looks quite good. After collecting them, I thought of donating them to our school to provide more appraisal opportunities for the students in the history and archaeology departnts.”

“That’s good, Leng Yao, you’re very thoughtful.”

Principal Lin looked at the student in front of him, his face beaming with kindness.

Many students graduate from Qing University each year, and so, after achieving success, return to give back to their alma mater.

However, within the history departnt, Leng Yao’s achievents and knowledge rank the highest.

Not only has she beco an official appraiser for the Bureau of Cultural Relics, but more importantly, Leng Yao is Master Cen Ci’s sole closed-door disciple.

The masters in the antique circle are certain that just with the title “Cen Ci’s disciple,” Leng Yao’s future achievents are limitless.

“Leng Yao, the students will be very excited about this. On behalf of the school, thank you!”

“Principal Lin, you’re too kind. As a student brought up by Qing University, it’s natural to have a heart of gratitude. It’s only right for to do sothing for the school. Besides, my master taught the sa.”

As she ntioned her “master,” a respectful and solemn expression appeared on her face.

Principal Lin also nodded slightly, showing respect from deep within.

Cen Ci.

A legendary master held in high regard by everyone in the history, archaeology, and antique circles.

Although no one has ever seen him, there is no shortage of legends about him in the community.

“Ha…”

A light, slightly cool chuckle ca from the direction of the doorway.

Principal Lin and Leng Yao, who were engaged in enthusiastic conversation, both turned their heads to look.

Lu Mian ignored the curious gazes of the two, one hand in her pocket, the other touching her chin as she casually walked over to the batch of Qinghua porcelains.

She glanced into the wooden boxes, looking around with a cold smile that grew more pronounced.

Leng Yao initially hadn’t noticed Lu Mian, but now upon seeing her, she gracefully greeted her.

“Hello, junior. Is there anything you need to explain?”

Leng Yao tilted her head slightly, causing her ponytail to shift gently.

Lu Mian gave her a proper look.

Leng Yao had a face with a classical aesthetic, cordial and calm, lacking any aggressiveness, fitting the reserved and stable deanor of a treasure appraiser.

Perhaps due to her frequent travels, she dressed more casually.

Lu Mian casually picked up a Qinghua porcelain vase from the wooden box.

Her spontaneous action made both Principal Lin and Leng Yao instinctively reach out to receive the vase.

Lu Mian ignored them as her cool gaze fell upon the vase, thoughtfully observing the base.

Leng Yao’s expression beca puzzled.

Principal Lin imdiately explained, “Student Lu Mian, this is Leng Yao, a senior who graduated from Qing University last year. If you’re interested in antique treasures, you can chat with her. Don’t be fooled by Leng Yao being a girl; she’s really impressive and has a bright future in the antique circle.”

“Principal Lin, you exaggerate.” Leng Yao humbly shook her head.

Her gaze remained fixed on Lu Mian, who hadn’t put down the vase or greeted her, and her voice cooled.

“Junior, be careful. These vases might be re ornants to you, but for the history departnt, archaeology departnt, and people in the circle, they are cultural treasures.”

“If you accidentally damage them, you… might not be able to afford the compensation.”

After speaking, Leng Yao reached out to take back the vase.

These are precious items she donated to the school, why should they be casually inspected by so random person?

Especially given the other’s lack of respect for her.

Lu Mian dodged her hand, not raising her head, but coldly asked, “How is your master doing now?”

Her words sounded abrupt and disconnected.

Leaving Leng Yao montarily stunned.

Even Principal Lin curiously inquired, “Yes, how is Master Cen Ci’s health? Do we still have a chance to see him co out of retirent?”

Leng Yao finally regained her composure.

She felt very downcast and shook her head sadly.

“To be honest, my master’s health is not well… He’s quite advanced in age, and the process of authenticating treasures is especially draining, his health deteriorates day by day.”

As she spoke, Leng Yao was moved to wipe away her tears.

“My master might not make it through this winter…”

Might not make it through this winter???

Lu Mian’s eyelashes lifted, her gaze clear and sharp, showing an inexplicable coolness as she looked at Leng Yao.
