Chapter 1012: Chapter 1011: The Last Student of Elite Class Has Arrived

These were words from Lu Yutian, and they naturally etched themselves into everyone’s minds.

The students were furious.

“Not satisfied? With so many academicians teaching here, what more does he want?”

The class was heatedly discussing this mysterious figure when Mou Taohui, holding his textbooks under his arm, hurriedly entered the classroom.

Today’s first class was his to teach.

He glanced casually over the twenty-nine students sitting below the podium. Not seeing that familiar face, he quickly understood the situation. Lowering his head, he checked his wristwatch and secretly muttered to himself about whether that little ancestor would show up for class or not.

A student directly asked Mou Taohui, “Professor Mou, is the last student coming or not? Do we really have to go and invite him?”

Though the word “invite” was spoken, the tone was anything but polite.

Several other students chid in, causing an uproar. Mou Taohui felt a jolt in his heart and hurriedly gestured for the students to quiet down. After all, he had begged Lu Mian to choose Elite Class as her second major. He wouldn’t dare utter a single criticism of her.

If he angered her and made her leave, he’d definitely regret it! Mou Taohui reminded the students below, “All of you, stop shouting. I have a faint-hearted constitution; don’t scare .”

The students imdiately quieted down.

As the bell rang, a tall, slender figure appeared at the doorway—a serene, cold girl with an ethereal presence.

In her hand, she twirled a brightly colored book that was obviously not a textbook. She strolled into the classroom unhurriedly, just barely on ti.

Passing by the podium, she lazily stretched with a yawn before leisurely making her way to the back of the classroom.

Soone instantly recognized her, whispering in shock, “Holy crap, it really is her.”

Standing at the podium, Mou Taohui didn’t care about Lu Mian’s attitude. He decided to set the tone first and enthusiastically began clapping, eagerly welcoming the new student, “Let introduce you all—this is Lu Mian. With her incredible college entrance exam score of 789, she was admitted to Qing University. She also chose Elite Class as her second major. Everyone, give her a round of applause!”

Scattered applause filled the classroom. Sitting in her seat, Lu Yutian caught Lu Mian out of the corner of her eye. Though annoyed, she had no choice but to accept the reality.

She had guessed that the last student would be her, and this day had finally co.

The reactions of her classmates, however, were surprisingly endearing.

Lu Mian seed entirely unfazed by Mou Taohui’s enthusiastic introduction and the lukewarm applause in the room.

She took her habitual spot by the window in the last row, placed the romance novel she was holding on the desk, and rested her chin in her hand, gazing outside.

From her position, she could see the Literature Departnt’s building. At this ti, Yuanyuan was probably having class in that building.

She found her seat quite satisfactory.

As for everything else, she didn’t think too much about it nor did she care.

But Mou Taohui cared. For Lu Mian to attend his class on her first day of university—it was such a huge honor, he was thrilled. He was sure this would infuriate Kang Hongbin.

anwhile, in the Applied Physics classroom, Kang Hongbin had rearranged his schedule to teach the students’ first class himself.

Even after the class bell rang, he gazed longingly at the empty hallway like a forlorn rock waiting for soone to return. The empty corridor left him despondent.

He knew: she wouldn’t co. She really wouldn’t co.

The students in the classroom also craned their necks expectantly, but ultimately resigned themselves to reality—their cherished idol was different from ordinary people. She could freely choose whether to attend or not.

At the back of the lecture hall, Xiao Qimo confird that Lu Mian wouldn’t be coming to their classroom. He stood up and left.

He ca in a hurry, left in a hurry, and was left with a lingering sense of abandonnt.

Elite Class.

Mou Taohui passionately taught the lesson, practically wanting to pour all his life-long knowledge into Lu Mian’s brain.

Most of the ti, Lu Mian was casually flipping through her novel. Occasionally, she’d glance outside the window, and occasionally, she’d spare a single glance at Mou Taohui. When she confird that his lecture covered material she was already familiar with, she stopped listening altogether.

Five minutes before class ended, Lu Mian took advantage of the mont when Mou Taohui was drinking water to stand up and make an announcent: “Professor Mou, I’m leaving early.”

Without waiting for Mou Taohui’s approval, Lu Mian strode out exactly as she ca in, casually twirling the book in her hand.

A class that others could only dream of attending—she actually left early.

This ti, the classmates couldn’t keep it to themselves and openly voiced their frustration.

“Professor Mou, isn’t Lu Mian being way too arrogant? Sure, her academic results are great, but what kind of attitude is this?”

“She didn’t even listen to the lecture or take notes. If she’s not here to study, why take up a spot?”

“Exactly! She’s so disrespectful to the teacher!”

Mou Taohui rubbed his temples in exasperation, frantically signaling for the students to stop talking. Lu Mian hadn’t gone far yet. If she overheard, they’d be in real trouble.

But in fact, Lu Mian had heard their comnts. Her steps faltered montarily. Initially, indifferent, she paused and decided to turn back around.

The students who had criticized her earlier felt a pang of guilt. The classroom fell into silence as everyone curiously awaited Lu Mian’s reaction.

Lu Mian swept her gaze over the twenty-nine students, her eyebrows curved with a wild and aloof arrogance. She spoke calmly, “Professor Mou, today you covered twelve knowledge points, two of which correspond to the textbook on pages fifty-three and one hundred and eight. However, I suggest incorporating the knowledge point from page one hundred and thirty-six as well, since its principles align with the others.”

As soon as Lu Mian finished speaking, the room was filled with the sound of students flipping through their textbooks. When they reached pages fifty-three and one hundred and eight, silence fell instantly.

It turned out that the notes they had been frantically taking in their notebooks were already in the textbook—just on later pages that they hadn’t studied yet.

Moreover, Lu Mian had proposed her own idea, adding a thirteenth related knowledge point.

This was a direct slap in the face.

Who said she wasn’t paying attention to the lecture? Not only had she listened intently, she had rembered everything with remarkable precision!

Without bothering to gauge their reactions, Lu Mian simply turned and left after delivering her mic-drop remark.

This ti she truly left. If she didn’t head to the Literature Departnt soon, Yuanyuan’s class would end.

A minute after her departure, the Elite Class erupted in chaos.

“Holy crap, no wonder she scored 749 on the college entrance exam—she’s insane!”

“If she’s this smart, couldn’t she put so effort into studying? She could be even more extraordinary than she already is!”

“No matter how talented or excellent she is, it’s still disrespectful to the teacher. I personally think she went too far!”

Mou Taohui waved his hands repeatedly, insisting that he didn’t feel disrespected at all. For him, the fact that Lu Mian attended his class today was already imnsely gratifying.
