See last ti, he had no presence, no aura, so his words landed on deaf ears, but now with his aura the way it was, he could partially influence the way they reacted to his presence even while doing nothing outwardly.

Seeing her act like this, he knew there was a secret involved sowhere here. And he was going to dig deeper. Anything to keep them occupied down here while Jack did his thing up there.

Confront them bluntly and punish them ntally.

"Lies," Jason said bluntly, his gaze boring into hers. "The hesitation, the stamring, you can’t even look in the eyes! You know sothing about my father, your sibling’s death, and yet you are not willing to tell , his son?"

Harold shifted uncomfortably in his chair. "You’re overthinking this, Jason. Let it go. And don’t you dare talk like that to your uncles and aunt?"

"Overthinking?" Jason’s voice was sharp, cutting through the room like a blade. "Let’s call it what it is: you’re hiding sothing. And I’m done playing nice."

Before they could respond, Jason turned to leave. "I have two declarations. I’ll find the truth," he said over his shoulder.

"With or without your help. And if I find out that you had sothing to do with it, I will destroy you. Secondly… I will be taking back everything my father owned by any ans necessary. If you truly care about family, you will own up to it before things get out of hand. If not… then just wait for my revenge."

After saying that, Jason turned and walked off, leaving them reeling.

"Stop!" Martha said, but it seed everyone was still taken by his declaration. What the hell was this? This man-child thought he could stand up to them?

What did he just say to them?!

How disrespectful!!

He was making such demands from them. He was even threatening them with sothing like that?!

"Where do you think you’re going?!!" Martha demanded, her voice shrill with desperation. What did he an by those words?

What did he an just walking out of there like that?!

Jason didn’t answer.

"Stop him! Go! Stop him!!!" Martha said, pointing towards Jason.

Four burly bodyguards moved to block his path, but he dispatched them with effortless precision, knocking them out with a skill that made the three people standing behind him gasp.

Where did he learn sothing like that? Harold, Frank, and Martha watched in stunned silence as Jason strode out of the room, with none of the other guards even willing to take a step forward. There were so many of them, and only one of him and he had managed to prove himself right then and there.

Was this still the Jason they knew?

Outside, Jason’s phone buzzed. He glanced at the screen and smirked... Too easy.

He then typed a ssage on his phone:

[et at the Coffee shop at the Mall.]

[10 minutes.]

[Make sure you go the things I asked you to get.]

— anwhile, Back at the Cross family Mansion —

Jack walked back out, seeing the guards helping four of their own up and the others looking shaful. Even more importantly, his father, uncles and aunts were looking at each other in frustration, with Martha even shouting at the guards like she was so demon out of hell looking to destroy them.

"What’s going on here?" Jack turned to the Uncles, and his father turned to him, sighing.

"My son, can you imagine… That bastard said that not only would he find out the truth of his father’s death, but he also said that was going to take back everything that belonged to his father. Can you imagine? Now you understand why soone like him does not deserve the Cross Family surna, right?"

Jack frowned deeply, gripping his fists insanely tight even releasing crackling sounds. "What a bastard! He said sothing like that?"

The man nodded, turning to Martha, and sighing as Harold pulled her back from the guards, who were kneeling on the floor. "Jack, you understand why this kind of situation cannot be allowed to continue like this, don’t you?" Frank said ominously.

Jack was no idiot... This was the real ga. It wasn’t the first ti he had been asked to do so dirty work. He nodded.

"I’ll take care of it." He said naturally with a bit of a smirk.

Frank gave him a big smile. "That’s my boy. I’m sure you will."

Jack gave his father a nod. "I have to leave father. I hope you will forgive ."

"Go, go, go. I won’t hold you back. I’m sure there are things you have to deal with right now. Just make sure to handle things quietly. Nothing can blow back to the Cross family. Just make sure to make him pay for everything. Don’t let any mistakes happen this ti."

"Of course. I will never do anything like that." Jack said, nodding to his father in a way that only a loyal son would. After saying those words, he left, taking his car with him as he drove out of the gates. He had already handed Jason his keys back when they were coming in.

Now he had to go et him.

— Atht high-end Mall’s coffee shop —

After getting to the coffee shop, Jason got himself so coffee and sat there idly, scrolling on his phone. It was not idle at all though. He was looking at the financial markets, and planning his next financial moves. The idea of expanding his pill was sothing he was thinking about. Maybe he should find a partner after all...

Still, he couldn’t help but smirk.

The Cross family had no clue what was going to happen to them. In that one conversation he had with Jack in the car, Jason had learned so much… He was looking forward to making them pay for everything.

Jack soon arrived, walking over, his chest a but bulky. Jason imdiately knew what was going on. After arriving, Jack looked at him a bit fearfully and then he handed him sothing, a folder with so docunts inside it that he took out from his chest.

"What’s this?" Jason asked, his tone laced with mock curiosity. He already knew though.

Jack hesitated, then thrust the folder at him. "The Will," he muttered. "Your father’s true will. Frank hid it as evidence to keep for later in case things went to shit between him and the others. He knew that this was going to be useful. He told about it too in a fit of drunkenness. Unfortunately now… it might not be useful for just him. But to you too..."

Jason’s eyes glead as he opened the folder, scanning the docunts inside. "Well done," he said, closing the folder with a snap, "Make sure you never hold out on ever again."

Jack’s expression was strained, his snake-like features twisted in fear and frustration. "Of course," he muttered. "I would never do sothing like that."

Jason placed a hand on Jack’s shoulder, his grip firm but not aggressive. "You did well today, Jack," he said, his voice smooth and persuasive. "And you’re going to do even better for in the future. Very useful indeed."

Jack’s knees trembled under Jason’s unyielding gaze. "What… what are you?"

Jason didn’t answer. Instead, he leaned in close, his voice a whisper that sent shivers down Jack’s spine. "I’m the one you should fear. And obey. But you know this already. So keep doing it."

After saying that Jason walked out, a smile on his face. It was a sha that there was no evidence of the plot to murder his father and mother, but that was fine. Jack already admitted that the trio was involved in it and that was all Jason needed. He would make one of them admit to it himself.

Now that he had the Will, things would get that much easier for him. What they committed was fraud, and they were going to go to jail for over 20 years. They had stolen his future forced him into the gutters, and killed his parents all for a few hundred million.

He was going to make them understand just how badly they had fucked up.

As Jason walked away, Jack stood frozen, his mind racing with dread. At that mont, he understood the truth: Jason was more than a man. He was supernatural.

— Back at the Cross Mansion, eting room—

Harold, Frank, and Martha huddled together, their earlier bravado replaced by unease.

"He’s onto us," Martha whispered. "If he uncovers the truth…"

"We can’t let that happen," Harold said, his voice trembling. "We need to act. Now."

Frank nodded, his expression grim. "It’s okay… I already let Jack deal with him. Jason won’t know what hit him."

Martha turned to Frank. "Can you trust Jack though? It was clear that he fucked up now, and he might ss up in the future too. Especially with the connection Jason has to Troy... Who knows what other cards he has hidden up his sleeves?"

"Jason is nothing special, Martha," Harold said with a smirk. "He’s just a boy. Who knows… he might try crossing the street only to get hit by a car…"

After saying that the two others looked at him aningfully. Before he could say anything else, they left. He understood imdiately, that so jokes were not ant to be made, especially if they were about sensitive things.

A car accident happening once was fine, but twice? Especially to a relative... that was...
