Jason walked out of Samantha’s office with a satisfied expression, the faintest smirk playing on his lips. The past hour’s events replayed in his mind—her flushed cheeks, the crack in her usually impenetrable deanour, and the way her voice trembled when she finally made her decision.
She was in his sights now. She might never be able to make it out.
He adjusted his suit jacket as he strode confidently back to his own office, his thoughts shifting between business and the enticing dynamics of his growing influence. Soon he would have everything in this company. Everything was working out just as he wanted it.
And it had only been almost three weeks. How incredible.
Rembering back to the mont, Samantha returned to her work mode shortly after they’d shared those intimate monts. Yet, before fully composing herself, she had turned to him, her shirt half-buttoned and her blonde bobbed hair slightly tousled.
She looked at him, her expression just as cold as it normally was. But her eyes were a bit more conflicted. "I’ll talk to my father," she’d said, not quite eting his gaze. There was hesitation in her voice, but also a flicker of resolve.
Jason admired the view as she reached for her blazer. Stepping closer, he had slipped his arms around her waist, pulling her back against him. And it seed she had gotten used to this feeling because she lted into him even while not trying to.
"That’s exactly what I wanted to hear," he’d murmured into her ear, his voice low and steady. Reinforcent through affirmation. He was rewarding her for he good behaviour. Jason smirked and kissed her cheek. "As long as you stand firm, I’ll take care of everything else. Trust , Sam."
Her shoulders relaxed slightly as she exhaled, her fingers brushing over his. "You’re putting a lot on ," she said quietly, a mix of vulnerability and determination lacing her tone.
How could this cold woman ever show this kind of expression? Jason had found himself getting greedy. He wanted to be the only one who ever saw that kind of expression from her. Nobody else was allowed to see that.
Jason chuckled softly, turning her body around to face him. "You’re more than capable. Don’t forget, I’m investing in you because I see what no one else does. You’re going to make Reno Ventures untouchable. And when that happens…" He paused, his lips brushing against her cheek as he continued in a whisper. "You’ll realize you were always ant to lead."
Samantha had sighed, her fingers lingering on his arm before stepping away. She’d adjusted her blouse and turned to pick up her pants, bending over just enough to make Jason smirk. She really had the most glorious backside he might have ever seen.
"Well, let’s see how hard you’re willing to work for that vision," she’d said, her tone regaining its sharp edge.
Jason smirked. Damn. Just as he was getting used to this sweet, soft version of her. There she was again. Back to her cold, sharp edge of a sword best. Jason had no problems with this though. As long as she listened to him, then everything would go well.
Anyway, he had gotten the Keys to the Kingdom, and since he had these, everything else was perfectly within his grasp. And it was true now more than ever.
A panel had appeared to Jason, and he stared at the thing that had appeared in his vision at this ti.
