"Elliana," Nathaniel started, but Elliana just raised her gaze at him softly.
She was wrong to have laughed at her situation like that. Even if that was the reality of her life, her acting like that was only hurting people around her.
"Is there a way to remove this ugly mark from my body? If yes, let’s discuss that rather than what it ans anymore. We don’t really have a way to solve it at the end of the day, no?" Elliana said, and Nathaniel looked at the girl in front of him with a sympathetic gaze.
"Yes, there is a way. Let work on it," Misha said and placed her hand on Elliana’s abdon above her top.
She closed her eyes to chant so spells.
Elliana felt a weird sensation travelling inside her abdon, almost as if sothing inside her was healing as a cold sensation spread to her entire stomach and chest, and she suppressed the urge to shudder under Misha’s touch.
After a few seconds, Misha removed her hand and nodded at Elliana.
"The mark is removed," she said, her gaze hard before she looked at Elliana.
"There is indeed a way, our last resort to save you. However, since you still have 1.5 months before sothing severe is going to happen, let’s try that thod when you are close to that period. It might take your life too. The survival rate is only 30%," Misha said.
Elliana nodded.
Under normal circumstances, she would feel obligated to ask her what the thod was since it concerned her life.
But after suffering so much pain and coming to this conclusion at the end of the day, she had no energy or mood to hear any thod that would remind her of her short life span.
"In that case, if there is nothing more to discuss..." Elliana trailed off slowly, and Misha and Nathaniel understood her underlying aning.
They vanished into thin air, and Elliana pressed her lips into a thin line.
She didn’t stay in her room either. It was filling her with sadness, and thus, she went to the backyard, walking towards the forest that was well protected by the vampire guards.
As she walked into the forest, she couldn’t help but look at the backdoor where she had seen Mr. Marino’s face for the first ti and had thought he was soone else.
A smile appeared on her face. How naive that thing was. She was really stupid back then.
Elliana smiled as she looked at the tree where she had fallen when she was running from that shapeshifter, who she thought was running after her.
She was so scared that she jumped on Mr. Marino without caring about anything else.
Elliana kept walking further inside the forest, finally reaching the lake.
She looked into the water and smiled sadly. This lake was the first water body that made her feel sothing was wrong with her when she felt the sadness in the water and almost knocked herself thinking about how many people died there.
Elliana moved her fingers softly into the water, erasing her reflection from the water by moving her fingers over it.
"I thought that now I had so powers, maybe my life would beco easy. I will find everything, all the lost parts of the puzzles that were haunting . But who would’ve thought that those missing parts would only lead to my end? Was I really unlucky? Or were the people who cared about unlucky?" Elliana asked the water as if it would start speaking suddenly and tell her what she needed to hear.
Jalizana, who was the ruling witch of the water elent, looked at the girl, crouching down near the lake and asking questions from the water body and couldn’t help but feel her eyes brim with tears when she heard her words.
The news about what was going on in the witch family and with the queens was already spread among all the witches, and they didn’t need anyone to tell them how they ruined this little girl who was innocent throughout.
She was played like a rag doll that they wanted to use and then throw away.
Elliana wiped the stray tears that rolled down her cheeks and were about to stand and leave the place, not wanting to worry Mr. Marino, who might sense sothing was wrong with her.
However, before she could, she heard her cell phone vibrating, and she pulled it out from her dress’s pocket.
Seeing it was a call from Glow, Elliana took a deep breath to control her emotions before she stretched her lips into a fake smile to make herself sound happy.
"Hey, what is it? How is the princess holding up?" Elliana asked, trying to joke around.
She didn’t hear anything from the other side for a few seconds, and a sigh escaped her lips as her eyes brimd with tears again, thinking about how her vampire ladies would be left alone once she was gone.
"Are you not going to say anything? Don’t tell you just called to hear my voice because you are getting annoyed by Marcello and want to teach him a lesson," Elliana joked as she kept checking her ssages to see if she was typing sothing, but she wasn’t.
When she heard her sigh, Elliana started to grow a little worried.
"Glow, what’s wrong?" She asked, her tone becoming a bit serious.
"Baby, let talk. I know you are finding it hard to tell her," It was Marcello’s voice in the background, and Elliana scrunched her brows.
If Marcello was talking like that, it was definitely sothing serious, and Elliana imdiately stood from her place, forgetting about her problems, ready to beat anyone who hurt her Glow.
"Marcello, tell what it is?" Elliana asked.
She heard so shuffling in the background as she waited with anticipation to hear what was going on.
"Well, the thing is, Boss," Marcello cleared his throat, and Elliana could see it was sothing Marcello did when he called her boss, and she massaged her forehead.
"Get to the point, Marcello," She gritted her teeth, not in the mood to joke any more.
"The thing is, I took Glow to a restaurant a couple of days ago, and we had a good evening, but..." Marcello took a deep breath before looking at Glow, who looked down at her feet.
"But?"
"But then, since we were happy about the engagent, we drank a little," Marcello said.
"And?" Elliana didn’t like where this was going.
"And it was more than a little," Marcello bit his bottom lip.
"Andthenweendeduphavingsexandnowsheispregnant," Marcello said quickly, and Elliana, who couldn’t hear properly took a frustrated breath.
"A bit slowly, Marcello. Tell what you did," Elliana asked because she didn’t know why but thought she heard sothing like ’pregnant’ and didn’t like the sound of it.
"Glow is pregnant," Marcello said again, and Elliana froze in her place.
"You b*stard! Where the hell are you?! How dare you impregnate her without getting married. Couldn’t you keep it in your pants for a few more days?! And even if you guys made love to each other, where was your head that you didn’t even use protection? Where the hell are you?! Let co and see if your skull is empty or what!" Elliana shouted, and Marcello nearly fell to the ground at the anger in her voice.
He was indeed in the wrong here. He didn’t know that the drink was so intoxicating. When they were doing it, they were so much influenced by the alcohol and desire for each other that the thought of protection slipped his mind.
But who would’ve thought that she would conceive for the first ti? Usually, conceiving a child for vampires wasn’t so easy, and many even try for years to conceive one.
After Elliana shouted and took out all the pent-up frustration by cursing him, she finally cald down and sighed.
"What are your future plans now? What are you guys planning? I still can’t believe you were so careless," Elliana said.
"Well, I am indeed in the wrong, Elliana, but I hadn’t thought she would conceive on the first try and - wait. Does that an I have a magic d*ck?" Marcello asked, earning himself a slap on the hand from Glow as Elliana felt like using her teleportation to give him a good beating.
Look at this guy being so proud of his mistake.
"About future plans, I know things aren’t exactly going accordingly, and it’s a bit hurried, but we are planning to get married in two days. It’s just a small ceremony that I will arrange since Glow doesn’t want anything extravagant. We will get our certificates tomorrow and hold the ceremony the day after tomorrow. You will co, right?" Marcello asked.
Elliana humd.
"It’s Glow’s marriage. If I won’t co, then who will?" Elliana smiled before ending the call after giving him a few more warnings about taking care of Glow.
Once the call ended, the smile on Elliana’s face vanished.
She was really happy for her friend, but the thought that she probably wouldn’t be able to et the child made her imnsely sad.
