"Hello?" Misha’s voice ca from the other side, and Elliana, who was still thinking about her dream, snapped back to reality, looking at her nails.

"Your sirens would be released. Where do you want them?" Elliana asked, getting straight to the point.

Misha, the reincarnated siren queen that Elliana still didn’t know the real na of, huffed loudly.

"What’s wrong?"

"That’s not the answer to my question," Elliana said, her voice controlled as she was barely controlling the anger that was creeping and running in her veins.

"I know. But that’s definitely the question my heart wants to ask. I can feel the controlled emotions through your voice, Elliana. We are sirens. Our voices matter a lot to us, and we can judge anyone’s emotions through their voice," Misha said.

"It doesn’t concern you or -"

"As long as it’s related to you, it concerns ," Misha’s words stopped Elliana from saying anything.

When Elliana didn’t say anything else, Misha added with a hesitant sigh, "Are you down for a et-up?"

"I am in the sa place as Glow and others. You can et others too. They’ll really appreciate a secondary quick visit from their leader after the battle," Misha quickly added her team’s na so that she wouldn’t be able to say no, and Elliana bit her lower lip.

She was actually hoping to stay at the royal palace until Mr. Marino was back.

Nathaniel clearly warned her about not expressing any of her emotions so that Azrael doesn’t end up snatching more of her Magna.

Thus, she decided that staying at a single place where her emotions that revolve around anger and revenge won’t be provoked too much would be a better choice.

However, a woman who can disturb her headspace when she is unconscious can actually co anywhere if she wants, no?

Elliana clenched her fists, her gaze falling on the protruding veins on her left hand.

She noticed a faint mark on the area above her wrist that was appearing out of the blue.

She didn’t feel any pain.

So it was definitely not her mark for the unlocking of her powers, then what was it?

Elliana brought her right hand close to the mark, her index finger touching the head of the mark and imdiately felt like sothing moved below her skin.

The mark started to change its shape.

The mark that looked like an arc started to take the shape of a trident, making her gulp.

What in the world was this? What was going on?

She was about to take her phone and click a photo of her mark when it glowed and her phone fell from her hand in shock, her fingers suddenly feeling numb. A gasp left her mouth.

"Elliana? What’s that sound? Is everything alright?" Misha asked from the other side of the phone, catching Sasha’s and Glow’s attention who were sharpening their skills on snipers.

"What is it?" Glow signed, taking off her shades, and Misha shook her head.

"I don’t know. I just heard her gasp," Misha walked out of the room.

"Elliana, talk to . What is it?" She asked, suddenly feeling scared.

It can’t be what she thought, right?

No. No. It shouldn’t be happening at a ti like this. There should still be so ti for the process. Misha clenched her hand around the phone, waiting for Elliana’s answer.

"I... I can’t feel any energy in my right hand. My fingers are not moving. There is a weird trident mark on my left hand, right above my wrist. I don’t know what’s happening," Elliana said after so ti.

Misha froze in her place.

A trident mark? The Mark that signifies waking, dreaming, and sleeping... the mark that signifies her ti was -

"Elliana, we need to talk. I... It’s better if you call your mother or whoever you want to hear this with you. It’s important... Related to your life," Misha whispered the last part, and Elliana, who finally felt the numbness going away, gripped the phone in her hand.

"What do you an it’s related to my life? What’s wrong with ? I am doing all fine," Elliana said.

Misha didn’t say anything for a couple of seconds.

She wanted to tell the girl the truth, but speaking on the phone and telling her like this wasn’t the right way to approach the serious matter. She knew that if she only told Elliana, the selfless girl would keep things to herself only and wouldn’t tell anyone. Misha bit her lower lip and humd, blinking away the tears.

"You are right. You are alright. I was just kidding... Did I get you? You might be feeling numb because of using so many powers and not training enough," Misha changed her words, and Elliana, whose heart had started to beat loudly, expecting the worst, sighed with relief.

This siren queen was seriously too much. Does she think this was the right ti to joke about life and stuff like that when she clearly knows what kind of dilemma she was stuck in? Elliana rolled her eyes.

"Also, I want the sirens to be released near the southern borders. Will that be fine? And I want Sebastian to be the one to bring them," Misha said.

Elliana humd.

"I will see what I can do about it and will try to persuade him into coming. I will co along. Do you think you can teach so of the nasty stuff?" Elliana asked.

"Nasty stuff?" Misha asked.

"The stuff where I can take Azrael down, make her bow in front of , beg for rcy. I want her to regret the day she thought she could ss with and my family. I want to learn how to absorb as much Magna as I can," Elliana said, her words surprising Misha.

She never thought Elliana was a good soft-hearted girl. The way she handled things and was the first woman, a re human, who took over the vampire’s black market, ruling over the vampires and their Dukes, proved how cunning the girl was.

But never had she ever heard Elliana talking so disrespectfully about soone. And for such a calm and collected girl to act like that, sothing has definitely happened.

"When do you want to begin?" Misha asked, not at all hesitating.

"How about today?" Elliana asked.

"Preparing for the big battle tomorrow, Elliana?" Misha asked, amusent dripping her words, and Elliana humd.

"Just because I am young and dumb for them doesn’t an I am going to go unprepared. This ti I am serious about this stuff. If you really call yourself one of my own, help save my dad," Elliana said, and Misha nodded with a doubt.

"I will help you as much as I can, but before that, I want to et your mother. Tell her to co and et within half an hour," Misha said, and Elliana scowled at the weird wish.

"Are you going to complain to my mom about my wishes?" Elliana asked.

"Not at all. There is just so stuff I need to discuss with her. This is a precautionary solution that she as a mother should take since you have the siren powers and everyone is after them. I can’t do anything without my powers," Misha smiled, keeping her voice as neutral as she could, and Elliana humd.

She was about to add sothing more about how Misha should also teach her about how to make use of her voice when soone knocked on her door.

Elliana quickly said a few words before ending the call.

"Co in," Elliana said.

"Madam has sent this fruit smoothie for you, Mam," The maid said, and Elliana smiled at the maid before motioning her to place the smoothie on the nightstand.

Elliana quickly ssaged Nathaniel to tell her mother to go and et the siren queen because she wanted to talk about sothing related to her siren powers before she drank the fruit smoothie and got inside her blanket.

Mr. Marino was busy with the human rogues. She will tell him to release the sirens and go to et with the Siren queen once he is back. Elliana nodded at herself before closing her eyes, wanting to relax more, her brows scrunching as she felt thinking about that glowing Trident.

anwhile, in the forest, Misha paced around the trees, thinking of what she could do to help Elliana.

Should she go back to her kingdom with these sirens with an excuse of dropping them and see if any of those ancient textures were still preserved there?

Misha bit her lower lip and was about to make a call to one person who gave her the herbs and potions that she used to stay between vampires without being caught when she felt Queen Azura’s presence.

"I heard you wanted to talk to ," Misha heard the voice before she saw the woman, and a sigh left her mouth.

"It’s true. It’s related to your daughter, about the siren powers she has inside her. It’s about the ninth and tenth lock that is keeping her siren powers safe," Misha said.

Queen Azura looked at the girl who looked younger than her daughter and humd.

"What about it?" Azura asked, her domineering dark witch aura, making Misha keep a safe distance from her.

"Your daughter is dying," Misha dropped the bomb, and Azura’s pupils dilated slowly.

What did she say?

"I dare you to repeat that sentence," Azura’s eyes turned pitch black, and Misha stepped back in horror.
