"Seriously, Azrael? Do you think you are all that? That no one will ever be able to defeat you? Rember one thing, no one in this world has been born without a death date. Sooner or later you will get your karma," The previous witch queen, Rebecca, said, her eyes full of animosity for her second daughter.

Azrael sat on her ankles, looking at her mother with a soft smile.

"This look, this look is the sa that I received 20 years ago too. Nothing has changed. For you, I was an abomination that day too, and I would remain a curse for the rest of your life, no?" Azrael sighed.

"Jokes apart, can you tell the reason you hated all along? I an, I never complained that you gave the two kingdoms to your two daughters, and I was left with nothing. Then what exactly was the reason you hated ?" Azrael asked.

"You, your actions, your presence, everything was a curse within. Your whole existence was a curse to . How could you? I never stopped you from doing anything.

From dark spells to dark sacrifices, you did everything, but I never stopped you because I always thought I was unfair to you, but what did you return with?" Rebecca coughed blood, wiping her lips, the sound of heavy chains rubbing on the ground with the movents of her limbs, echoing in the hall.

"You went ahead and fell in love with a vampire. And not just a normal vampire, but a married king. Because of you, I started the unending animosity between the two species, and you still think I never loved you? You are an ungrateful piece of -"

Azrael scoffed, her scoff stopping Rebecca from saying anything further.

"You call yourself a great mom, right? Did you know that the day you locked in the cell and didn’t give any food for a week, I was actually pregnant?" Azrael asked, her words shocking Rebecca.

"Wh-what did you say? You were what?" Rebecca raised her voice.

"I was pregnant with that vampire king’s baby. I used my dark magic to imitate his wife, hiding my true self when he was drunk and slept with him. He probably thought it was his wife because he kept calling her na. Then again, how would he have known the truth when I looked exactly like his wife?" Azrael smiled, proud of her work, shocking Rebecca even more.

"You... How can you be proud of such a heinous act, you evil b*tch!" Rebecca lunged forward to grab her daughter’s neck, but Azrael just chuckled before smacking her hand away, using her powers, making the woman fly away and hit the cold iron bars, falling to the ground with a thud.

"Why didn’t you let finish? As I was saying, I was pregnant when you locked . When a witch gets pregnant, the first week is the most crucial for her because the body is the most sensitive. However, because you locked up and starved , I lost my kid," Azrael said, her eyes brimming with tears at the vague mory before she smiled and blinked her eyes.

Right. Why was there water in her eyes when she wasn’t capable of showing any emotions? She chuckled at her own body and powers, trying to remind her what it felt like to have emotions.

She turned around and sighed.

Everyone knew she switched off her emotions, but not once did anyone ever co to her to ask her the real reasons behind her actions.

They always thought it was because she wanted to be stronger. That’s how much her emotions were worth. No one ever asked her how she was doing, and then they expected her to understand them?

It was true what she did was indeed wrong. She shouldn’t have used that technique to get pregnant, but Azrael had thought that if she couldn’t get the man, she would at least get a part that belonged to him in her body and live with their child for the rest of her life.

However, that child was also taken away from her that day.

If that wasn’t enough, her mother said she would talk to the King about seeing her for once, but rather than doing that, she cursed the King’s wife, who wasn’t at fault at all, and made it the reason for the unending animosity between the two species.

"I can’t even bear to look at your shaless face when -"

"Sssshhh," Azrael placed her finger on her lips to shush her so-called mother, and Rebecca gritted her teeth.

"You don’t get to say who is shaless and who is not when you haven’t even shared with the world that you swung both ways. While you had your daughters with a man who died mysteriously, you never revealed your relationships with your secretaries and those ladies who used to co to et you in your so-called eting room. Did you think no one would discover your secret?" Azrael asked before looking at her nails.

"Anyway, it’s all useless talk now. Since you took away my right to love and beca the reason behind my agony and years of pain. I shall make you the reason behind the fulfillnt of my unrequited love too, no?" Azrael asked before she stood from her place.

"Stay healthy, mom. Your bone marrow is really important for to be able to bring my love back to life," Azrael whispered before exiting the prison.

"You... Do you think my other daughters would stay still and let you do what you want? They will -"

"Your elder daughter stole the husband of your youngest daughter. The daughter of the youngest daughter is now the target of all of us. Mrs Rebecca, I don’t think you did a good job parenting," Azrael smiled before clapping her hands again.

"You! You wait and see. There is no way the moon goddess would allow an evil on like you to bring back a dead to life. I might not be able to see it, but your evil will beco the end of you too. This is a mother’s curse. I curse you to go down," Rebecca shrieked, her voice drowning in the distance as the infrastructure started to change again.

As soon as the room went back to normal, Azrael sighed before looking out of the window.

She pressed the red button and a witch walked inside imdiately.

"Yes, Madam," The witch asked.

"Go and bring sothing related to Arizona. Make sure it’s a thing my sister has used recently. It will make the spells more effective. I think it’s ti I go and see Elliana. Let’s see what kind of deal she is," Azrael whispered, making the witch nod and leave.
