Elliana opened her eyes slowly, her brows creasing when she found herself in an unfamiliar place.

She sat, looking around curiously.

The chandelier on top of her head looked exotic and expensive. There was no way she was in so random hotel.

The room was really big. It was almost as if it belonged to so kind of queen.

The ancient couch in the middle of the room right in front of the bed, was too good-looking, but what caught her eyes was the water fountain like the thing in the corner of the room that had a peacock statue with its feathers in full form.

It was beautiful. She stood from her place and padded towards the fountain with a curious smile on her face.

Was it just her or did the peacock really blink at her?

Elliana extended her hand towards the water and was about to touch it when she heard the door of the room opening and she turned around.

As soon as Azura saw what was happening, she widened her eyes.

"No. Don’t touch the water, my baby," Azura said.

She had gone to ask the chef to prepare a few things so she could make so good food for her daughter because Elliana would be waking up soon and she didn’t want to bring sothing from magic and wanted to cook for her daughter for the first ti.

Azura hadn’t thought that Elliana would wake up at that ti.

Startled by Azura’s sudden exclamation, Elliana turned around swiftly, almost losing her balance and falling forward. Her hand went to the edges of the fountain, accidentally touching the droplets of the water, and as soon as she did that, her pupils contracted, making Elliana gasp.

"My ho," Circe whispered in her head, confusing Elliana.

"Hmm? What do you an by -?" Elliana couldn’t complete her sentence when Circe took over her and placed her hand on her other hand where a cross mark had already appeared.

Azura looked at the scene unfolding in front of her and didn’t know what to say anymore.

This was what she didn’t want to happen. It was an enchanting water that flowed from that mountain, and the peacock that resembled a statue was a physical representation of Azura’s powers.

They were bound to attract Elliana since her powers were connected.

Azura looked at the girl, who swayed backward and her gaze darkened.

"Ari!" She shouted at her powers, who imdiately turned towards her.

"My daughter, my part," Her powers said back as they extended her feathers towards Elliana who was having a hard ti breathing because of the unlocking of the eighth lock.

"It’s okay," the peacock placed its feathers on Elliana as if patting her back, but in reality, it was lending its powers to Elliana’s powers to be able to soothe the pain that Elliana was feeling, and Elliana, who had closed her eyes in extre pain, opened her eyes, her vision much clearer than before.

It was as if she was getting an HD view of everything, and she took a deep breath, making Azura step back a little when she felt the energy coming out of Elliana.

She couldn’t believe her eyes. Was this -

Azura’s hands trembled when the realization dawned upon her. Her daughter was an absorber.

She looked around, unable to comprehend the knowledge, unsure about how to react to it.

"Elliana, my daughter," Azura approached Elliana cautiously to stop her daughter from absorbing more energy from her peacock, whose face was equally shocked now when they realized what was happening.

The peacock was about to retreat their feathers, but Elliana quickly grabbed the feathers, tilting her head at the statue with a smirk that was too evil to belong to the innocent Elliana they knew.

"Where do you think you are going after giving the taste of your powers? Mother?" Elliana’s voice was hoarse, and it was a clear indication that it belonged to Circe who was enjoying the extension of the powers in them.

A sigh left Azura’s mouth when she felt like deja vu hitting her, and she raised her hand towards the peacock in an indication to not move or make things worse.

Wasn’t this a repetition of what Azura had done too with her mother when she had found that she was semi-absorber? But the things weren’t that severe at that ti.

Azura licked her lower lips and approached Elliana before holding her hand and pulling it away from the statue that imdiately retreated.

She looked into the eyes of the girl that had changed to a mixture of golden and violet, an otherworldly color, that made her both proud and scared at the sa ti.

"You saw your dad, Elliana," Azura asked in a soft voice.

She knew she used a dirty trick here by reminding the girl of things that she shouldn’t be when she was absorbing powers because it was going to be painful, but she didn’t want her daughter to get the kind of powers that would be too much for her to handle.

"My dad?" Elliana asked, her mind snapping back to the old man she saw in that magical realm, and her powers imdiately felt dominated when Elliana’s emotions started to take over.

Her eyes brimd with tears and she fell on her knees, making Azura imdiately hold her.

"What is this place? This is making feel weird. It hurts. My head hurts," Elliana groaned before it turned to hissing as she held her head, and Azura looked at the peacock that instinctively extended its hand again.

"No!" She said before placing her hand on Elliana’s head and pulling her daughter closer.

"It will be fine soon, baby. I know you hate , but let hold you for this mont. I

It will feel better," Azura said.

Elliana wrapped her hands around Azura when she started to feel calm and relaxed, freezing Azura in her place.

’I am sorry, baby. I didn’t know my powers would have that kind of effect on you. You unlocked your eighth lock too and... I am ashad that I didn’t know you were a pure absorber. It will make things hard for you,’ Azura whispered before she got a signal from Nathaniel to bring Elliana out of the kingdom again and she used her teleportation skills for the purpose.

Nathaniel, who was standing near the window, imdiately scrunched his eyebrows when he saw Elliana sweating profusely.

He rushed to her and pulled her out of Azura’s hand.

"What did you do to her?" Nathaniel’s eyes turned galaxy blue.

Azura looked at her stepson with a sigh.

"She absorbed my powers," Azura said, and Nathaniel froze in his place.

"You an she is -"

"She is," Azura’s words made Nathaniel sigh and smile at their condition.

"Isn’t she truly tragically destructively the cutest thing you have seen?" Nathaniel asked before he removed her hair from her face he looked at her when she opened her eyes softly, the color of her eyes, making Nathaniel look at her with beaming eyes.

Elliana sat straight when she noticed how he was looking at her with a glimr of pride and smiled at him, forgetting about her pain.

"I am ready to go," she whispered.

"Hmm?" Nathaniel asked.

"The Himalayan mountains. You said you would take to your kingdom once I am done with everything and teach everything. Was that kingdom I was in, yours?" Elliana asked, and Nathaniel pressed his lips into a thin line.

"Well about that, sweetheart, you are not coming with . I can’t take you anymore," Nathaniel’s words made Elliana’s smile falter.

"What do you an?" Elliana asked, looking at the woman who smiled at her sadly.

"She told you to say it?" Elliana asked, her eyes glowing with animosity imdiately and Azura shook her head.

"I would never -"

"She didn’t say anything. It’s all because of you. Who told you to break that pendant that was protecting you from all the witches?!" Nathaniel blad Elliana, who froze in her place.

"You are blaming ? You guys said that it was a souvenir from my mother, but my mother didn’t even know I was alive. Why didn’t you tell it’s significant? Now where am I supposed to go?" Elliana asked, and Nathaniel looked at her sternly.

"You will go where you belong. To the only man who can protect you from the witches and will take care of you. The only man that the witches are afraid of and want you to stay away from him," Nathaniel said.

He didn’t need to elaborate on what he was saying, and Elliana looked at him in disbelief.

"You want to go there?! How can you do that to ?" Elliana asked, her anger taking over little by little, and Nathaniel stood alert, knowing what was coming next.

"I will -"

"You won’t do anything, Elliana. This is better for the people who worry about you, love you, and care for you. This is what your won’s team asked us to give to you. You don’t have to live with him. Just continue your life as you were doing," Nathaniel handed her a picture.

Elliana looked at the photo they had taken together.

Her eyes quivered at the faint mories.

She was so lost in her emotions that she didn’t even realize the door of the room was opening and soone entering until she felt his presence close to her.
