"Miss Zoya, can you please call the Princess? It feels like forever since I had breakfast with her when it’s only a couple of days," Sebastian pulled the chair for himself as he looked at the reports in his hand, hoping to finish and sign it before the princess descended to the dining room.

Lucas, who heard the prince ntioning the Princess, rolled his eyes and stayed back in the corner, not wanting to see his Prince act like an obnoxious pretentious person who was acting so lovey-dovey when he was obviously going to break her heart tomorrow.

"I will go and see what the security team is up to. Even though the royal family has their own security system, I feel it would be better if we take a few n from our S-class team.

Things might turn a bit bitter between the princes, and judging from how they always take their sides because of the obvious reasons, it’s better to be prepared," Lucas said, and Sebastian humd at him.

He knew why his subordinate wanted to leave, and he didn’t bla him for that.

Sebastian raised his gaze when he didn’t see the caretaker moving from her place.

He noticed both the caretaker and the chef looking at him.

They wanted to say sothing to him.

"What is it?" Sebastian asked.

Miss Zoya opened her mouth to say sothing when his phone rang, and he raised his finger to stop her from speaking.

Sebastian picked up the phone ticulously.

"Hello?" He said, his tone, neutral and void of emotions.

"Hey, I... I was just checking up with you. How is your morning going?" Brooklyn said as she nodded at the nail artist the color she wanted on her nails, pointing her finger to the red color.

She wanted to look the best for the night since she was going to the royal Kingdom and probably would get a chance to see Sebastian Marino too.

"I am doing fine. Is there sothing you need? I am busy," Sebastian said, and Brooklyn took a deep breath, her voice sounding heavily on the speaker.

Sebastian closed his eyes.

He didn’t like people breathing on the phone’s speaker like that.

"Oh, uhh...no I was just checking up on you. I can’t wait to see you tonight," Brooklyn said, excitent evident in her voice, and Sebastian humd.

"Will your dad be coming too? To the evening party I an," Sebastian asked.

Brooklyn raised her hand to stop the artist before speaking.

"No. I don’t think he would be able to make it to the evening party. It’s actually my uncle’s 25th wedding anniversary, and they will be going there. But don’t worry about the votes. He will probably drop by to make the votes before the scheduled ti tomorrow morning," Brooklyn said.

"That would be great. Thank you for the help," Sebastian said, and Brooklyn chuckled softly, her voice lodious.

"Anything for you, Mr. Marino," Brooklyn chuckled again when she realized she used the sa na that Sebastian’s human wife used and how he had banned everyone from using that na, giving the exclusive rights to his wife only.

"I... I am sorry about that. I didn’t an -" Brooklyn pretended to be sorry about that, and Sebastian massaged the area between his brows.

"That’s okay. It doesn’t matter. She will have to get used to it anyway. You can call whatever nickna you like. Anyway, I have to leave now. She will be coming soon, and I haven’t told her anything. Though it doesn’t matter, I still want to be the one to tell her things," Sebastian said before ending the call.

He took a deep breath and signed the report before mind-linking Garry to co and take the file.

Miss Zoya, who heard all the conversation between the prince and the other girl who had a strangely familiar voice, knitted her brows.

She had so many questions because nothing she heard made sense to her, the most shocking one being the prince telling a girl to give him nicknas and allowing her to call him Mr. Marino when he didn’t even allow it to his brothers.

However, she kept her thoughts to herself. She didn’t want to say anything that would end up with her head on the platter and her blood in the Prince’s glass of juice.

Besides, she had bigger things to handle, for example, informing him how the Princess left the palace half an hour ago.

There was no way Prince Sebastian wasn’t going to be angry about that. The guy is practically obsessed with his wife. Not to ntion, he looked like he really wanted to have breakfast with her.

Once Garry took the file from Sebastian, the man raised his gaze, his eyes asking one question that Miss Zoya had yet to answer.

"Why are you still standing, Miss Zoya? I asked you to do sothing. Go and bring the Princess here. I know she must be sleeping since she wanted to sleep for a few extra hours today, but it isn’t healthy for her. Tell her the chef prepared her favorite thing," Sebastian said again and Miss Zoya sighed.

"The princess already had her breakfast, sir. You were in your eting room, and you didn’t ntion how long it would take you. So... " Miss Zoya said.

Sebastian sighed.

"Is that the case? I guess, I will have to do breakfast alone today too," Sebastian nodded at the chef who brought his food and a glass of vampire blood to the table since the princess wasn’t present.

As soon as Sebastian saw the vampire blood in a transparent glass, his gaze darkened and he looked at the chef.

"Have you fucking lost your mind? Why is the blood in a transparent glass?" Sebastian’s voice turned deep and cold, his gaze turning the shade of red that matched with the blood, and the chef imdiately gulped.

"Sir... I... I thought -"

"You thought what? Just because the princess is not on the table, you will bring it in a transparent glass? How many tis do I need to remind you to not bring such things when she is in the house? What if she cos out right now and sees it? Will you take accountability for her bad mood and trauma -"

"She is not ho, sir," The chef didn’t want to interrupt his prince, but he didn’t want him to beco angrier than he already was.

It scared the shit out of all of them, and all the maids rushed to the kitchen, their hearts beating at a fast pace.

Harry and Lucas, who were inford about his anger imdiately rushed inside the dining room, but Sebastian had long cald down as he looked at the chef and then at Miss Zoya.

"What do you an she is not ho? Has she gone out for a walk in the backyard? Is she in the forest taking a stroll?" Sebastian stood from his place, ready to bring her when Miss Zoya spoke.

"She left half an hour ago, sir. She said her University friends wanted to have a party after their exams, and she went there. I wanted to inform you about it, but the princess said we shouldn’t be disturbing you for every single thing," Miss Zoya said, her head bowed in submission and Sebastian froze.

He didn’t know what to do. She left? Without telling him? Did he make her feel like that?

This was the first ti sothing like that happened, and for a second, it felt hard to believe.

"It’s okay, Miss Zoya. It’s good that she left. She is right. She shouldn’t be disturbing the prince for every single thing, not to ntion when the prince is going to be extra busy after the crowning ceremony," Lucas scoffed, saying the sentence with a hidden aning before he left, not sparing a glance at his prince anymore.

He walked out, eting Ambrose halfway.

"You dropped her to a safe place, right?" Lucas asked.

He had already known that the princess left with Ambrose because he saw them leaving through the window and Ambrose inford him everything.

According to him, it was better she stayed away from the prince as much as she could now. He didn’t want her to hear anything that would break the poor girl’s heart.

He knew he was uselessly delaying things when it was bound to happen sooner or later, but he still wanted to try.
