"I would like to et Princess - I an student Elliana. We had sothing to discuss, but I haven’t been able to find her. Can you help locate her in the University?" Prince Vincenzo walked to the dean’s office when he didn’t see her behind the University where he thought she would be, waiting for him.

He asked a few students from the biotechnology departnt but she wasn’t there either.

The dean looked up and gulped.

He knew who the man in front of him was, but it was Prince Sebastian’s strict orders to never allow anyone apart from him and his secretary to co and et his Princess. So how was he supposed to let Prince Vincenzo go and et with -

"It looks like you are bound by my brother to not help ," Prince Vincenzo said understandingly, and the dean smiled helplessly.

"It’s okay. It looks like I will have to use my powers to locate her," he stood from his place and was about to leave when the dean cleared his throat.

"She loves to spend her ti in the laboratory," the dean gave a vague hint, and it was more than enough for Vincenzo to imdiately rush to the laboratory where he might be able to find Elliana.

It was strange.

Yesterday after they went back to the royal palace, he had ssaged her to ask her if she was serious about eting in a place as common as the University where her husband could easily co and then create a scene with him once again.

She said she was serious, and thus, without wasting a second, Vincenzo arrived at the venue wanting to know what she wanted to talk about, but strangely she wasn’t there.

Many thoughts swirled in his head as he walked to the laboratory.

"Close the door behind you," Vincenzo heard her voice as soon as he entered the laboratory, quirking his left brow.

For a human, her senses were quite strong. Then again, was she rely a human? Her sentence from yesterday indeed left him deep in thought.

"So what did you need here for? And didn’t we decide we would et behind the University? Why didn’t you co?" He asked as he walked to the middle of the laboratory to the farthest area from both the doors.

Elliana lifted her gaze softly as she placed the beaker on the counter after swirling it.

"Because this is sothing I couldn’t show you behind the University near that lake," Elliana said before she stepped back.

Vincenzo looked at the blue-colored vial in the beaker, his brows furrowing.

"What is this?"

"I will tell you," she paused, her gaze fixated on the beaker.

"But before that, you need to answer sothing," Elliana turned to Vincenzo, and the man shifted his gaze from the weird-looking liquid that was strangely making him feel uneasy to Elliana.

"What is it?" He asked, leaning his body on the counter.

"Do you rember before I went away a year ago, you had promised sothing?" Elliana asked, walking to the window of the laboratory.

"That I will protect you because you are my only friend who understands in this world. That even if the entire world would be against you, I will stand by your side just like how you stood by my side unknowingly for a year?" Vincenzo repeated the words.

This was sothing he had said to her when she had arrived all bruised up and even though she was covered from head to toe like always, he could sll the blood and heavy sll of ointnts on her.

"You have a sharp mory," Elliana whispered, her voice neutral.

"Of course, I am soone who stays true to his words even if those words cost my life," Vincenzo said, clearly hinting at the fact that she can tell him anything and he will still be with her.

"Then will you stay by my side if I tell you -"

"That you are indeed a dark witch?" Vincenzo completed the sentence for her, and the way her heart skipped a beat, the sound was enough to tell Vincenzo he hit the nail in the right place.

"That I might have to divorce Mr. Marino, and I might not stay a princess anymore either. The hunter’s bloodline isn’t my real family, and I have to go and search for them," Elliana said, not saying what he said was right or wrong.

To say Vincenzo was surprised would be an understatent. He looked at the girl with a bewildered expression before he walked to her, grabbed her shoulders, and jerked her to turn to face him.

"What did you say? Leave? Have you lost your mind? You can’t leave him. Can’t you see how much he cares for you? He will break without you. How can you even -" Vincenzo roared but paused when he looked into her eyes, her eyes that were already red and brimming with tears.

"Do you think it’s easy for , Vincenzo? I love him too and will probably love him for the rest of my life. But do you think he will accept if I tell him I am a dark witch, soone he has vowed to kill?" Elliana asked, and a tear slipped from her eyes, making her look away.

"I will leave after telling him the truth. Before he will have the ti to react or think of killing , I will be far away from the city," Elliana added.

"You are leaving?" Vincenzo asked again, still in disbelief, not hiding the sadness in his voice, and Elliana turned to him with a helpless smile.

"I just confird I am a dark witch, and that’s what you want to concentrate on?" She asked.

"Does it say on my face that I give two damn about that? I believed you the mont you ntioned it yesterday. Is that the reason those dark witches or any witch is coming to et you? Did they say sothing? That they want you back into their clans or sothing?" Vincenzo asked, his voice turning strained.

"It’s important, Vincenzo," Elliana said, trying to coax him, holding his hand, and he gritted his teeth, slamming the test tubes on the ground, breaking the glass.

However, as soon as he did that, he quickly lifted her in his arms, blocking her so that the glass wouldn’t hurt her in any manner.

Elliana looked up into his eyes, the rage in them making her sigh.

He needed ti to process this information, and she could see that.

She sighed. "Let’s talk later. I think you -"

"What is this liquid? Why did you call ? Since we are here only for business, let’s stick to that. It’s not like my feelings matter to you anyway. Did my friendship even an anything to you as yours did to ?" Vincenzo scoffed as he put her down again.

Elliana kept looking at him, her eyes rebellious, and Vincenzo knew he struck a chord.

One thing to know about her was that she cared about friendships a lot, and would do anything to keep one. He saw that when she had tried to et him knowing he would keep waiting for her even when she couldn’t even walk.

She had arrived all ssed up, without even having the bandages, looking all vulnerable with blood dripping from her clothes even when she knew she was going to et a Powerful vampire.

She was stupid just like that for her friendships.

Elliana grabbed the broken piece of the test tube and looked at it as if it were so kind of weapon.

"How can I prove my friendship to you, Vincenzo? Does having a blood seal count?" Elliana asked, and Vincenzo’s gaze darkened.

"Where have you been reading all these rogue words?" He asked, taking the glass from her hand and throwing it away.

He looked at her bleeding thumb and sighed before putting her thumb in his mouth, his eyes turning dark red at the intoxicating taste, and he quickly jerked her hand away from himself.

Fucking seductress witch! He scowled in his mind before sighing.

"I am sorry, okay? I didn’t an to question you. It’s just the thought of you leaving again for God knows how long really doesn’t settle well with . The last ti you were gone for a year. Will you ever return once you leave now? I doubt that," Vincenzo looked away, and Elliana sighed.

"Will that affect our friendship? I will be in touch with you. I know it’s not a big deal, but I really want to find my parents, Vincenzo," Elliana said and Vincenzo turned to her.

"Now that I think about it, why are you calling by my na? What happened to Mr. Vampire, Mr. Vincenzo, and Mr. Prince?" Vincenzo asked, and Elliana smiled.

"You are close to my heart. It’s a promotion for you,"

"A very disrespectful one, I must say," Vincenzo rolled his eyes and Elliana smiled at his flickering emotions.

"Let’s talk about this liquid now. I need your help. This would be my parting gift for Mr. Marino. It’s a vampire-killing poison," Elliana said and Vincenzo looked at her as if she had grown two heads.

What did she say? Vincenzo stepped away from Elliana subconsciously.

And does she want to test it on him? Vincenzo looked between the liquid and Elliana.

"You have legit lost your mind. Are you showing how much of a witch you are?" he seethed through his teeth.
