"You have been very quiet since earlier," Sebastian comnted, not looking at her, and Elliana humd.

Rather than answering him, she placed her hand on his wrist grabbing it like a little kid grabbing their guardian’s hand.

Sebastian looked down at her hand before looking her way, his heart swelling for the girl who looked so lost. She was deep in thought.

Was it because of what he said to her?

Or was it because of what he didn’t do?

Her behavior today was quite confusing and complicated than usual how she behaves. First, she hugged him like she hadn’t seen him for a long ti, then she told him she was making those vampire-killing poisons and now she was so quiet.

She indeed indicated sothing happened to the University.

What could it be? Was it the boys who said sothing to her? Or did her friends tease her again about her liking him?

"If you are not going to talk about it, you should stop thinking about it," Sebastian started.

"You should know I am a very jealous and possessive man, Princess. And I hate the idea of sothing else occupying your headspace, sothing or soone other than ," Sebastian said before he stopped and turned to look at her, making her raise her head to look at him.

She smiled at him softly.

"Um, I don’t really have anything to say today. I just want to enjoy your company, Mr. Marino," Elliana said honestly, and Sebastian raised his brows before he nodded and bent to her until his mouth was close to her ears.

"Are you sure you would be happy just enjoying my presence? I can make you enjoy a few more things," he said before he pulled back enough to look into her eyes.

"I enjoy everything that you have to offer to , Mr. Marino. You say I am a devil’s possession, and I love the idea of you being obsessed with . Soone might say that it’s unhealthy, but it is what it is. I am equally possessive and obsessive of you. I might not ever get the chance to show it to you because you never disappoint with your care, but that’s how it is," Elliana smiled.

Sebastian kept looking at her for a good few seconds and sighed.

How did he get lucky?

He can’t even imagine what kind of life he would have been looking for if he had really married his destined bride for the peace treaty. That Madeline girl was even evil-looking, let alone her character.

This accidental wife was the best for him in everything.

Sebastian kept looking at her and when she was about to ask him what it was, he pinched her nose.

She raised her brows at him, not at all expecting it.

Sebastian looked into her eyes until he saw tears brimming into them and a soft smile appeared on his face.

"I love this look on you. A little teary eyes, red cheeks, and glowing face, breathless while you look at in utter shock and amazent," Sebastian stepped ahead when he left her nose, making her take deep breaths.

She didn’t understand what he was doing until he snuck his hand around her waist and pulled her close until her chest collided with his.

She lifted her gaze from the locket in his neck that she had given to him, or should she say he had snatched from Lucas before she looked into his eyes.

"But I like it more when I use other ways to make you teary eyes like this. Ways that I can only show you when we are alone," Sebastian winked at her before pecking her forehead and standing straight.

He cleared his throat before he sat on his knees in front of her, making her look at him in surprise.

"Mr. Marino, what are you -"

"Would you like to be my partner for the annual prom that is going to be held by the royal vampires after two days?" Sebastian held his hand out for her to take.

Elliana couldn’t believe it.

As his wife, being his partner for the event was a natural thing when the event was held by the royal Kingdom and Mr. Marino was the main organizer and took care of all the things.

Seeing him kneeling in front of her and still making an effort to get her permission was so wholeso on a different level that she didn’t know what to say or do anymore.

If a man like this would really leave her after getting his throne, who would believe in love anymore?

"I would love to," Elliana said after giving him the best smile she could muster, and Sebastian imdiately nodded when she placed her hand on his.

"That’s not what I am asking for. The hand is empty for sothing else," Sebastian said, and Elliana looked at him, confused.

When she couldn’t figure out what he was asking for, she lifted her dress softly and kneeled in front of her, making him look at her in confusion.

She shuffled closer to him and placed her chin in his extended hand.

The expression on his face froze for a second before Sebastian laughed.

He laughed so loudly that Elliana’s eyes bead in happiness and surprise, and his guards and everyone around who could hear it through their mind link, froze in utter shock.

Their prince was laughing. And it wasn’t one of those nacing laughs, but a genuine delighted laugh.

They felt desperate, desperate to see the exotic and unique sight of their prince laughing in pleasure, but they knew not to interrupt their happy mont.

Sebastian placed his fist on his mouth to control his laughter as he looked at her, the girl who had her chin still on his hand and was looking at him with such innocence, making his heart swell for the second ti today.

"My cute kitten, co here," He pulled her on his lap, making her sit on his right thigh as he kneeled on his left knee.

"My sweet angel, what am I going to do with you? Why are you so cute?" He turned her, bending her down before he kissed her lips softly.

Elliana imdiately closed her eyes to savor the feeling of his soft lips moving across her. The lips were speaking thousands of languages that all ant one thing- true care and affection.

"If I have to choose between making you happy and dying, I would choose my death over and over again. But if you would ask if I can die for you, I will always say no. Because I want to live with you. I want to live and care for you, Mr. Marino, and want to have a beautiful life with you. I will do everything for you, Mr. Marino," Elliana signed at him out of the blue, and Sebastian froze in his actions, looking at her with raised brows.

He looked at her as if she spoke so foreign language that she wasn’t even supposed to ntion, but though his expression was pure shock, his eyes didn’t look like he hated it.

Rather, there were millions of questions swirling in them.

Elliana cupped his cheeks and smiled.

Pit.

Pat.

Pit.

Pat.

"Oh," Sebastian looked up when soft rain started dripping on them from the clouds, and he narrowed his eyes.

"Well, this is interesting. I am sure there were no clouds earlier," he comnted, completely forgetting about what she had signed earlier, but Elliana didn’t look up.

"That’s because I am happy. Nature probably wants to celebrate this mont with ," Elliana smiled at him before she leaned forward and placed her head on his shoulders, making him nod.

"Let’s go inside the palace, okay?" He asked, and Elliana was about to go inside when she felt so negative energy around her and her eyes imdiately drooped.

"Mr. Marino, can I walk in the rain for so ti? You can go inside," Elliana said, and Sebastian tilted his head.

"And have you caught a fever because you want to dance in the rain again? No, thanks," Sebastian held her hand before he stood from his place and took off his overcoat draping over her.

"Let’s go. I don’t want my wife to get sick before such an enormous event where everyone would see her for the first ti. It will be your official introduction to the vampire world," Sebastian said, and Elliana humd, looking around one last ti before sighing.

anwhile, the dark witch who was watching Elliana and Sebastian getting closer from a distant tree, scoffed.

’Wife, my foot. I wonder if you would have the sa reaction when you found out her grandma was the one who cursed your mother with ill fate, and the reason the prophecy ca into existence in the first place. That she was the reason you were devoid of any love from anyone around you,’ the witch sighed before she looked at the sky, glaring at the rain and the clouds.

What was there to celebrate? Was having a leech bow down to you and ask for so pathetic annual ball really so special?

She raised her hand in the air before stopping all the rain.

It looks like the ti to unleash her next level was coming.

If she wants to be in love with a vampire prince, she might as well be in pain.
