*Gasp*
Elliana finally woke up from her deep slumber when Samantha pressed her chest and gave her a quick CPR.
Her eyes were bloodshot, and she looked around, her bloodshot eyes full of fear, a fear that her friends had never seen before.
"Elliana, thank god you are finally awake. For a mont, we really thought we lost you," lony rushed to her and hugged her, making Elliana flinch away from her.
It hurt her. lony looked at others in shock when Elliana acted so dejected and scared.
"What are you guys doing here?! You shouldn’t be here. No. T- This is not a good place for you. Run back! Run back to the University and don’t co here. It’s not safe for you guys," Elliana shouted, her heart thumping in her chest.
Samantha stepped ahead, confused.
"Elliana, what are you talking about? Why is this place not good? It’s only half a km away from the University. What is unsafe about it? Don’t you always co here? And who would dare you hurt us?" Samantha asked, but Elliana didn’t reply.
She kept shaking her head, bringing her knees close to her chest as she kept changing sweet nothings to herself to calm down.
"Samantha, don’t ask her anything. I think the trauma of eting the masked vampire prince and then falling in the lake from the cliff is catching up to her," Alcinder said, and Samantha thinned her lips.
"Let’s take her to the infirmary to get her checked. She can rest there until her guardian is here to pick her up," lony said, and everyone nodded.
Dexter, who had gone out to et his father for a short ti and heard what happened there, rushed to the site.
Seeing Elliana sitting there drenched, her form shivering uncontrollably, his lips thinned into a straight line.
"I swear I have never seen a girl as accident-prone as you. Can’t you have one day? I an just one day where you don’t get yourself into so kind of trouble? I can’t believe you survived 18 years without getting yourself killed," Dexter shouted at her, and she looked down at her feet.
"Dexter now is not the ti to shout at her. Can’t you see? She is clearly shaken up because of sothing," lony whispered to him, and he shook his head before walking to her.
"They said if I went there again, they will kill . They’ll suck dry even when my blood makes them puke. He will suck you dry too," Elliana whispered as soon as Dexter bent down to pick her up in his arms, and he paused.
"What did you say?" He narrowed his eyes, his gaze stopping at her neck which had nail wounds and clear fingerprints, leaving him frozen in his position.
"What exactly happened here?" He asked.
"We still don’t know anything. All we know is that Daniel was looking for Elliana because he wanted to talk to her about sothing. She had agreed with him, and he looked for her in the entire University before attending the next lecture. When he couldn’t find her at University, he ca here to see if she was here, and that’s when he found her," Samantha briefed everything to him.
"Luckily, Daniel ca here right in ti. She was so out of it that she couldn’t even love her limbs. Look at her legs, they are swollen. She fell into the water from that cliff in front of Daniel, and that’s why he was able to save her. Do you have any idea what would’ve happened if he hadn’t co here in ti?" Samantha asked, and Dexter looked at the shivering form of the girl before sighing.
anwhile, in the sa forest, the group of vampires that were living deeper near the other end of the forest grabbed the second vampire they caught and killed him to eat his body parts.
"Brother, do you think it was okay to let that human go? What if she runs her mouth in front of so influential vampires?
That University is known for its influential family kids. It’s the best. I heard the council head’s son, mayor’s son, and other minister’s sons, all study there," one of those rogue vampires said, and Maze chuckled.
"Seriously, dude. We don’t have to worry about anything. Why do you think we are being converted into this in the first place? We have the royal’s back," Maze said.
"What do you an the royal’s back? Aren’t they also trying to capture us and lock us into your dungeons?" The other one asked, and Maze leaned back, supporting his back on the tree as he had enough food for the day.
"If the royals really wanted us dead, we wouldn’t be here. They might act like they want to kill us and are thinking for the welfare of the community, but there are a few of them whose main target is to kill. that masked vampire prince," Maze answered.
"The sa vampire prince who is known for eating vampires, just like us?"
"Yes, the sa one. He has grown so powerful just by eating vampires, and it won’t be long until we beco the sa too. The only difference between him and us is that, he is a natural one, and we are created," Maze stood from his place to go to the river and wash himself.
"Hey, Maze! Stop washing yourself in the river. The current of the river goes to the forest in the main city. What if soone senses the blood and our traces on it?" Javin asked, and Maze chuckled.
"Isn’t that what we want, brother? We want them to notice us, fear us, and bow down to us just like they do to that masked prince. Don’t worry, even if soone catches onto us, we won’t die until we kill that masked prince. It’s the past of the deal," Maze shouted back.
"I know. I can’t believe that the guy’s own brother wants him dead," Javin said, and Maze chuckled at his choice of words.
"No relations matter when it cos to throne and royalty, brother. The throne cos with a long trail of kin blood," Maze smiled.
"By the way, do you have any idea how many of us have been created so far?" Javin asked, and Maze smiled evilly.
"Enough to kill this entire Kingdom. These royal princes have no idea what kind of demonic species they are creating just to eliminate one prince from their competition," Maze chuckled, making the rest of the n laugh along with him.
This ti they’ll make sure they pay back the royals ten tis the pain of what they gave them.
