"Are you sure about it, sir?" Lucas asked for the umpteenth ti, and Sebastian looked at him from under his lashes, his cold gaze imdiately shutting his subordinate.
"I am having trouble understanding why I should be sure about visiting a place that is half sponsored by and the royals," Sebastian comnted, and Lucas bit his lips.
"That’s not what I ant, sir. It’s just that we went on a trip with the princess’ friends just yesterday. What if they recognize us?
Besides, I am sure you will try to look for Princess at the University and what excuse you’ll give for that? What if she thinks you are spying on her?" Lucas asked, and Sebastian turned the page of the docunt he was reading, a smirk stretching on his lips.
"Do I need an excuse to see my wife now?" He asked.
Lucas - "..."
Of course, you don’t need a reason to see your wife, but if you have forgotten, she isn’t your wife but a normal human student with lots of vampire friends. Lucas wanted to say but he kept his thoughts to himself.
"I have prepared the docunts for the collaboration with the University to prepare the lab and fast process it, sir. It’s exactly how you wanted to draft it. Since the area of the lab was decided last ti we visited there, I haven’t included that part in the docunt.
All we need is the equipnt and chemicals that you ntioned. Garry said he already made the necessary orders and they will be shipped in three days," Lucas said, and Sebastian humd.
He looked out of the window, his gaze sweeping over all the restaurants and shops they were passing.
"By the way, do you think the princess is still angry with ? She hasn’t talked much with since we returned," Sebastian said.
"Sir, you returned only three hours ago, and you went straight to your office. When was she supposed to talk to you? Besides, it’s not like you have done sothing good for her that she should be falling in love with you," Lucas scoffed before widening his eyes when he realized his mistake.
Ambrose looked at Lucas from the corner of his eyes, rely amused at his boldness.
"Sir...I... I didn’t..." Lucas stuttered.
He looked at his boss through the rearview mirror who casually turned the page of the docunt, his form screaming dominance.
"Princess won’t like it if one of the people she is familiar with in the palace disappears out of the blue, or I would’ve surely sent you to the Grim Island for what you did just now. Don’t forget who I am just because I don’t show myself," Sebastian said, lifting his gaze, making Lucas gulp and nod imdiately.
"I am sorry, sir. It won’t be repeated. I will kiss Princess’ feet for her greatness, and -"
"Touch her, and I’ll make sure you won’t be able to touch your girlfriend either," Sebastian murmured, and Lucas bit his lower lip.
It would be better if he stops speaking. Lucas thought, while Ambrose barely controlled his smile.
anwhile, at the sa ti, Dexter kept looking at Elliana for answers, and she smiled awkwardly.
"Will you believe if I say I have nothing to do with anything?" Elliana tried with an innocent smile, and Dexter removed the cloth from her face before pulling her cheeks.
"Do you think I am a fool who will believe your words even after I have seen them from my eyes? Just who are you, Elliana? You are Glory, a bike racer, a princess, the possession of a devil, the boss of so werewolf community, the one who has the Dukes on their knees for her, or the sa innocent girl I once used to look up to?" Dexter thinned his lips, and Elliana looked straight into his eyes before sighing.
"Can I really trust you?" She asked, and Dexter looked into her eyes before taking a deep breath.
He pulled out a dagger from his back pocket and sliced his palm before pulling Elliana’s hand letting his dark thick red blood drop in the middle of her palm.
Tip. Tip. Tip.
Elliana looked at the blood that was collecting in the middle of her palm before his wounds healed.
"I swear and take an oath on my blood and my life that I will never reveal anything and protect your secrets with my life. You can trust or take my life.
Elliana, you have no idea what your friendship ans to ," Dexter looked into her eyes, and Elliana looked at him before looking back to the blood in the middle of her palm and biting her lips.
"You know -" she looked up, and Dexter looked at her with hope and anticipation.
"You don’t have to be so dramatic about it. All you need to say is that I can trust you," Elliana rolled her eyes.
Dexter -"..." Does she really have no idea what a blood oath ans?
Well, she won’t be acting like this if she knew. He sighed before humming.
"What am I supposed to do with this blood now?" She asked, and Dexter looked into her eyes that for so reason felt like they were glowing softly.
"It’s your wish," He whispered.
"Drink it?" She asked, and he felt his heart skip a beat.
"Don’t do it. I will drink it. I don’t know if anyone taught you this, but exchanging blood with a vampire is a very big deal. So don’t drink just anyone’s blood- You are a human. What am I thinking?" Dexter chuckled at the end part, his ears red at the thought of Elliana drinking his blood and starting the mating bond.
"Dexter, what’s wrong with your head today? Why would you think I want to drink blood? I was talking about you only," Elliana said.
Dexter -"..." Well, what did he expect?
He gulped and coughed in embarrassnt before dipping his head and licking the blood off her hands.
"Ewww," Elliana said, and Dexter smiled before shaking his head.
"For soone who has so many vampire friends and didn’t flinch when I sliced my palm, your timing is surely amazing," He said before holding his hand and intertwining his fingers with hers.
"I promise that I will believe you and will stand with you, even if you say you are planning to eliminate the entire vampire community," Dexter said, and Elliana smiled at the irony of the situation.
Wasn’t what she was planning to do by creating the strongest poison of all ti?
"I will tell you the truth, but not now. I will tell you about it when it will be just the two of us. Let’s go bike racing soon," Elliana said, and Dexter smiled.
"I trust you," Dexter said.
"I know," Elliana smiled.
However, the smile on her face froze soon when she recognized the car in front of the University.
"Sh*t!" Elliana said, and Dexter looked at the girl who cursed for the first ti like this.
"What happened?" Dexter looked at her wide-eyed.
"I... Uh... Soone who knows my guardian is probably at the University. And I am not there! What if -" Elliana pressed her lips into a thin line.
For the first ti, she bunked classes and Mr. Marino had to co on the sa day.
