anwhile, everyone was preparing for breakfast, a particular girl from the people who boarded the ship with the group was missing from the Inn.

"Madam, are we doing the right thing? What if they catch us? There has to be a reason why those high-class witches are looking over that re human," the subordinate said to her madam, and the latter smiled.

"I know that. And that’s exactly what makes so curious about that girl. What is so special about her that the witches are protecting her? As far as I can see, she is just a normal human who has so charm that attracts people toward her. So why is the Arizona team revolving around her?" The madam said, and the subordinate gulped, not liking what her madam was about to do.

They looked at the vampire maid they summoned from the Inn, or should they call it kidnapping?

The girl had blonde hair, almond eyes with brown pupils, and freckles on her nose. Her nose was making a sniffing sound while her form was trembling probably anticipating the danger she was in. And why not? She was indeed in danger.

"Why have you brought here? Who are you?! What did I do to you? Please leave alone. Please don’t hurt . I beg you. I have no money to give you," The girl prayed, and the subordinate looked at the girl with pity.

"What is your na, girl?" The subordinate asked.

"Silvia," the girl trembled, and the madam humd.

"Well, Silvia, we are not interested in your money. What we want is your body," The madam smiled.

"You see, sotis for the betternt of the world, a few people have to sacrifice their happiness, their comfort, and sotis their lives too. It should be an honor for you that you are chosen to be one of those people who would get this divine opportunity to sacrifice themselves for the divine and holy purpose of us finding out who this girl is,"

The subordinate looked at the cold gleam in her Madam’s eyes and looked away.

Divine purpose? Was this really so kind of divine and holy thing they were doing? Abducting a person just so that they could put their magic on her and get close to a re human? What was divine in this?

The subordinate suppressed the urge to scoff. It’s not like she had any power or say in this. She was nothing more than a spawn to be used from ti to ti.

"Divine work? Sacrificed? Are you kidding ? What do witches like you want from a vampire like ?" Silvia asked, and the madam massaged her forehead.

"I can’t deal with this anymore. How do people pretend to be good? I really can’t. I really wanted you to believe that you were dying for a good cause, but it looks like all my efforts have been useless," The madam smiled before kneeling in front of Silvia.

They had blindfolded her earlier because they didn’t want her to see their faces. This was her subordinate’s idea, and she didn’t dislike it so she let her do as she wished.

"Take off her blindfold," the madam’s aura imdiately changed, and the subordinate looked at her in shock.

"But madam, if we take out her blindfold then she will see our faces and -"

"And what? What the hell will she be able to do when she is dead and six feet under the ground?" The madam said, and the subordinate looked at the girl in pity.

This wasn’t good. Killing this vampire girl was never in the plans. So why? They were just going to use the magic to impersonate her and keep her kidnapped till then, no?

"Why?" The subordinate asked, and the witch scoffed.

"Why? What do you an by why? When I give you an order, you don’t ask why I am doing sothing I am doing, okay? You just do it with your mouth sealed and no questions asked. Did you get ? Or do you want to sacrifice yourself in her place?" The madam asked, and the subordinate looked at her feet, anxious.

"That’s what I thought. Now get this work done. Make sure you copy every single detail of her body and mories. Even if it’s just a small mole near her vagina, I want it the sa way. You heard ?" The madam asked, and the subordinate looked at the pitiful girl before nodding and placing her hand over Silvia’s head.

The vampire girl whimpered imdiately when she heard the witches ntioning killing.

"What are you doing? Please leave alone. I don’t want to be sacrificed for anything. I work on this ship because I have to feed my family and little sisters. Please spare my life. They only have in this world. Don’t be so cruel," Silvia begged, and the subordinate’s eyes quivered, but she was under pressure too.

She strengthened her hold on the girl’s head to transfer all the mories to her mind along with her features. The subordinate whimpered softly when she felt the changes inside her body.

Her skin was deforming magically, and her bones felt like they were burning.

"How long will it take?!" The madam snarled, and the subordinate bit her lower lip to contain her whimper as she fell to her knees.

"It will take so ti, Miss Gertrude," The subordinate coughed as she felt Silvia’s pain coursing through her veins now.

Every mory that Silvia had to date, including the mories of how so evil vampires tried to bed her and how the loan sharks threatened her, tearing her clothes to scare her even more, how her mother was as useless as dead because she was a poor drunkard, and how her sisters never respected Silvia enough, the subordinate started copying every single mory, pain, and tear of this girl.

After what felt like an eternity but was a few minutes, she fell backward, breathing heavily.

"I did the most I could, Miss Gertrude. If I copy more, my nose will bleed, and everything I copied so far will go to waste," The subordinates said, and Madam Gertrude looked at her subordinate closely.

She did a good job copying. It was so hard to see who the real Silvia was.

If not for the blindfold that was hanging on Silvia’s neck now, she had never been able to guess.

"If the work is done, it ans we don’t need her anymore, no? Pitiful, my ass. All of you vampires deserve nothing but brutal death.

You guys don’t deserve sympathy for how you drink those pitiful human’s blood and kill them just to stay alive. You are nothing more than an abomination to this world and should go to hell," Madam Gertrude said before looking into the girl’s eyes.

"You should be happy that we chose you and are freeing you from this cursed life where you have been treated as nothing more than a useful commodity," Gertrude said, and the subordinate tried to sit, supporting herself on the large rock.

"Miss Gertrude, I think we should not kill -"

The subordinate couldn’t complete her words because the next thing she saw, Madam Gertrude used her magic to stab the girl straight in her heart.

"You were saying sothing?" Gertrude asked her subordinate before wiping the splashes of evil blood from her face.

The subordinate looked at the dead vampire girl in front of her, her heart aching for the girl. Because of the copied mories, it was almost as if a part of her died.

"Stop dilly-dallying. You have rested enough to be able to go back to that place, no?" Gertrude asked before she yanked the subordinate up with her magic.

"Don’t forget what exactly I am sending you there for. I want every single detail about this girl who Arizona is protecting. And if you fail, don’t bother to return," Gertrude’s words were loud and clear before she clicked her fingers, sending the subordinate to the so-called mission.

’Let’s see what you are hiding, Arizona,’ Gertrude thought with an evil smile.
