"What did you want to talk to ?" Sebastian asked, his gaze flickering to where Elliana left.

"The annual ball dance is less than a month away. We have gotten information that you have information about so Vampire Dukes in Africa. We were hoping to call the Dukes from all over the world. That information can help us -"

Stephano started and Sebastian shifted his gaze from the pathway to the elder brother he was competing with.

"And for so reason, you think I’ll give the information that I earned with such hard work to you. Why? Why should I do that when I am denied the information I want from the royal palace? When I am treated like I am a part of the family, but also soone who is thrown out of the palace?" Sebastian’s words were provocative and accusing.

He didn’t look at his grandpa. He didn’t need to. Abramo very well understood what his youngest grandson was trying to insinuate here, and he stepped ahead to hold his hand but held himself back.

Was anything Sebastian said wrong? Ever since Ambramo heard about the prophecy, he has denied him access to any information from the royal family because he doesn’t want Sebastian to get involved too much in vampire matters and awaken his pri nature of blood lust. The blood lust of vampires

"That’s not the truth, Sebastian? Why are you stretching the matter uselessly? Besides, you also want the vampires from all over the world to co together and stay connected, don’t you?" Stephano asked.

Sebastian smiled inside his mask and walked to the glass door that led to the garden.

"Am I stretching the matter uselessly? Every ti sothing bad happens in the kingdom, the first suspicion cos my way. No matter who has ssed with the security footage, I am the one who called for a scolding. This was recent. Even the information about the rogue vampires, who are apparently just like is hidden from . For what?" Sebastian turned to his grandpa and looked him straight in the eyes.

"Maybe that’s because I am his only grandson whose father died and his mother was killed. Maybe because it’s true that you don’t hold any aning to the family once your parents are dead. No one will ever care for you the sa," Sebastian took a deep breath.

"Just because my parents were not there to fight for my rights, you guys treated like an outsider who was given the na of the royal prince. And then you co and ask why I am the cruelest prince of all? Did you support or care for ?" Sebastian asked his grandpa before scoffing.

"Don’t bother answering it. Who am I kidding? Did I ever matter to you? No, right? That’s the reason you, you, in fact, all of you are so hellbent on putting down. I don’t know why you even call a royal. You should take away the title from like you have taken away everything," Sebastian’s eyes wavered.

Abramo didn’t know what it was. But for the first ti, he felt like he saw how vulnerable his youngest grandson was. How hurt Sebastian was.

How co he never realized that rather than strictness and being sent away from the family, this little kid just wanted love and support that his parents couldn’t give him?

’And then you co and ask why I am the cruelest prince of all?’ Sebastian’s words echoed in Abramo’s head, and he clenched his fists behind his back.

This feeling was suffocating. Was he the reason his youngest prince turned out to be like this? He wanted to save him from the prophecy, but why does it feel like he has been the one forcing him toward the prophecy?

Abramo felt stuck. He didn’t know what to say or answer to his grandson. Abramo had thought about all the things he would tell him, and how he would pacify him to hand over the information to him, but what is he supposed to answer his grandson now?

Why didn’t he love him? Why didn’t he care for him enough and treated him like an outsider? Abramo sighed.

"Brother, why are you saying these things? You and I both know that Grandpa cares about you too. You were sent here to this palace because ... Because -" Stephano couldn’t co up with an answer, and Sebastian raised his brows.

"You don’t have an answer either, do you? I was sent here because I was a monster in their eyes. A monster that shouldn’t be loved or cared for. You want the information about those vampire Dukes, right?" Sebastian asked his grandpa.

"I will give it to you. After all, no matter whether you consider or not, I always believe you are my family, despite the wounds you have given , even bigger and deeper than the strangers," Sebastian said, his gaze stern and cold again before he looked at his sister.

"I know you don’t like and probably are one of those mbers of the family who wouldn’t want to have anything to do with or even care if I die, but don’t target that human girl for that. You guys have ruined my life altogether with a happy smile on your face. Don’t let those claws scratch my wife. She is a human and an innocent one at that," Sebastian said.

"Sebastian, what has gotten into you? Are you high on so kind of drug? What bullsh*t are you spouting? Why are you acting like we starved you of sothing? Rather than being grateful for -"

"Victoria!" Abramo’s voice was calm yet full of warning, and Victoria imdiately paused.

"We don’t want any information from you. I won’t pressure you to tell us. We will find a way sohow. Just take care of yourself and try to be happy with your wife.

Now that I see how happy she is with you, maybe I was right in choosing you as the capable candidate to marry a human. Stop by the royal palace soti and et your aunt Freya. She was asking about you," Abramo said before placing his hand on his shoulder.

There were many things he wanted to say to his grandson. Many things started with an apology, but was it useful? Even if he apologized a hundred tis, it would stand nothing in front of the kind of pain Sebastian was.

Rather than saying sorry, it would be better if he tries to accept his grandson the way he was, no?

"We will take our leave now," Abramo nodded at Stephano, and Victoria, who didn’t say anything further knowing their grandpa was serious now.

They nodded at Sebastian and left one by one.

As soon as Sebastian noticed his grandpa’s car leaving, he sighed and rolled his eyes.

"Lucas," he turned to his secretary as they stood out of the palace, watching the car leave.

"Yes, sir," Lucas asked, looking at his prince with compassion and sympathy.

"Tell . Was my acting just now good?" Sebastian asked, and Lucas looked at his prince in shock.

The expression on the youngest prince’s face was unreadable because of his mask, but the evil glint in his eyes was all too well familiar.

What did he say? Acting?
