Chapter 865: 864.Primary Duty

For Tang Shu, the paper assigned by Professor Yu wasn’t difficult in itself; the challenge was how to prove she was so familiar with the several types of herbs listed on the dical College’s materials.

And two days later when Jing Yu handed her the dical texts from Tang Village, that problem was already solved.

Thus, this afternoon, despite being very busy, Tang Shu managed to find so ti to head over to the faculty housing and happily handed in her assignnt.

“Wrote quite a lot? Seems like you have a real interest in researching these herbs.”

Professor Yu, holding the paper of more than twenty pages, couldn’t hide the shock in his eyes.

He pointed to another stack of papers on his desk, his tone carrying a hint of disdain, “This is much better than those of your senior brothers and sisters who have already graduated. Their reflections are nothing compared to yours.”

And indeed, the gap was significant.

Tang Shu’s eyes landed on the stacked papers, she silently estimated the relationship between the thickness of the A4 paper and the length of the essays, and ca to this conclusion.

“This… is unexpected, maybe I’m just more familiar with these herbs than your other students?”

The materials distributed by dical College and given to Professor Yu were intended to gather a wide range of insights, so the report that had been studied for half a year couldn’t possibly have been received only by Tang Shu; most researchers in traditional Chinese dicine must have had their brainstorming session in this period. And with students all over the world, Professor Yu had received more than 20 short papers.

However, compared to Tang Shu’s dozen or so pages, these papers were indeed minor like eting the Great Shaman—at least in terms of word count, the latter was the clear winner—and Professor Yu wouldn’t think that those dozen pages of content were pure nonsense.

But what he was more concerned about now was, “You’re more familiar with them? What do you an by that?”

It couldn’t be that they were reading materials of different thickness.

When Tang Shu took out that book that was a special product from Tang Village, it turned out they really weren’t reading the sa thickness of materials.

“My ancestors left a few books, and coincidentally, I saw descriptions of these herbs in them. When you gave the materials, I wasn’t quite sure, but after checking, I ca to so conclusions.”

Tang Shu modestly downplayed her achievents, attributing the greater depth of her paper compared to her seniors to this ancient book.

As to whether Professor Yu believed it or not… when she saw the glow on his face as he stroked the book, she knew that it no longer mattered.

Snow lotus, Moon-facing Grass, Full Moon Plant, they finally had nas to represent them, not just being replaced by “newly discovered herbal ABC.”

After handing over the book to Professor Yu, Tang Shu felt her duty as a student had co to an end. She dusted off her hands and left, diving back into her illustrious performing arts career, completely unaware that it was like a teorite plunging into a long-calm lake, causing huge ripples.

Inside the returning-greenery-covered small courtyard, Professor Yu watched this female student disappear from sight, muttering discontentedly.

“Has she forgotten what her real job is?”

As a sophomore, is it reasonable to attend class seriously only one day a week?

An exasperated voice ca from the wooden bench beside him, “Don’t forget, you even went out of your way to see Xiao Shu perform in the theater yesterday.”

A case of saying one thing but aning another, still the sa even in his seventies or eighties, just like when he was young.
