Du An nodded slightly and pinched the bridge of his nose that was pressed down by the fras of his glasses.

“But she could have continued at dical University, instead she chose to beco a celebrity. A woman who likes to take shortcuts, bringing her to the Xu Family, who knows what trouble she might stir up.”
Listening to his fiancée’s complaints, Du An shook his head amusedly, “As you said, she likes to take shortcuts. Such a woman should be easier to deal with, right?”
On hearing this, Xu Qianyu’s expression lightened sowhat, “That’s true, maybe I’m overthinking it.”

Turning to work, the two quickly shifted from the previous topic and started discussing business matters.

After dinner, Tang Shu told her roommates Cheng Ranran and Ye Xiaohui that she was leaving and then exited the school gates.

In the boy’s eyes, though, there was a stubbornness that others lacked.
Watching the boy she only had a fleeting acquaintance with draw closer, Tang Shu’s steps, which aid to sidestep him, halted.
Behind the boy, several n in their twenties were closely following, their outstretched hands nearly upon him.
“Let’s see where you’ll run to now!”
The n had tattoos on their arms, clearly bad elents of society.
The apparent leader looked sinister, a type Tang Shu had seen all too often, obviously no good person.
Just when he thought his prey couldn’t escape, he noticed a passerby quickly and accurately grabbed the wrist of the boy in front, their skilled movents bringing him behind her.
