The next day.

As the wedding of the two went viral online, Starshine dia’s official account finally couldn’t resist the overly enthusiastic comnts from old fans and topped the trending list, completely overshadowing the initial wedding video.

"Oh my god, is this the power of over a hundred million fans?"

"Scary stuff. These old fans must’ve been holding back for so long they directly overwheld the company’s official account."

"Honestly, even as a casual fan I couldn’t just stand by and watch anymore. Tang Shu sure dropped a huge bombshell this ti."

"Say no more. My girlfriend’s been whining in my ear for six months, saying her big uncle vanished completely like he’s still in debt to them or sothing."

"Wait. What do you an by ’still in debt’?"

As the online comnts spiraled further off-topic, Luo Lin nervously dialed Tang Shu’s phone—but... it was powered off.

"What’s going on? It’s this late already, why is her phone off? What’s the deal?"

"Sister Luo, the old fans started causing a ruckus yesterday. Didn’t you tell the boss then?"

"I’m not that heartless. Who goes and picks a fight during soone’s wedding night?"

Maintaining the bare minimum of decency, Luo Lin didn’t notify them ahead of ti. However, what she got in return wasn’t any understanding, but rather...

"What? You’re saying she went on honeymoon? Since when?"

Yang Tiantian innocently stared at the ceiling. "Just yesterday. The boss said I could take two months off and skip work at Palm Pavilion because they’re going on a world tour."

Luo Lin: "..."

Absolute shock!

The manager and agent almost passed out on the spot from sheer frustration.

Shen Yan trembled on the sideline. "Th-the online uproar... what do we do about it?"

"What else can we do? First, get in touch with that ancestor. If that doesn’t work, call President Jing!"

Before Shen Yan could even make the call, Jing Bei, equally swamped, beat him to the punch and showed up at the door—locking eyes on Luo Lin right as she entered.

"My brother asked to talk to you about signing a sponsorship deal. Let’s chat?"

The fire simring in Luo Lin’s chest cooled ever so slightly... Fine, for the sake of sponsorship she’d let it slide this once. She could tough it out for another month or two!

A month later, Tang Shu returned from her honeymoon.

She arrived back in the capital precisely on ti, intending to report to school, only to be greeted by stacks upon stacks of thick scripts—and Luo Lin’s blank, uncompromising face.

"You’ve got to help narrow these down."

"This *is* the narrowed-down selection."

"..."

Are you planning to work to death so soone else can take my top-tier spot at Starshine dia?

Tang Shu’s mouth twitched as she glanced again at the mountain of scripts, which far exceeded her expectations. "Sister Luo, being a grad student is actually quite busy—especially in the dical field."

Besides, she still owed Dean Liu a favor and needed to write a thesis to repay him.

Luo Lin sneered coldly, sounding as formulaic as ever. "You think that’s the only debt you owe? Forgotten about the 130 million fans you’re responsible for?"

What’s that saying? You might dodge disaster once but not forever. Eventually, debts are repaid.

Tang Shu sighed. "Alright, but there’s no way I can read through all of these quickly... How about you share so suggestions?"

This was exactly the sentence Luo Lin had been waiting for!

She broke into a grin—one that, while genuine, carried more than a hint of scheming malice.

"You’ve been away from the screen too long. Over these two months, I’ve had to suppress quite a few fan uprisings, so I was thinking—how about appearing on a variety show first? Honestly, ever since the New Year’s controversy over your side gigs, plenty of people have wanted to interview you for firsthand intel, but no one’s gotten the chance."

"Aren’t you afraid I’ll turn into a ’trending-star’?"

"With 130 million followers already, is there still any difference?"

Luo Lin felt that so things beco clearer with ti. She’d even been second-guessing herself while lying awake at night: Why stress so much about being categorized as either ’trending’ or ’talented’? These terms were just labels designed to divide veteran and erging stars. Even among ’trending stars,’ there were plenty known for incredible acting skills.

So, it was probably her own inner turmoil all along.

Tang Shu shrugged, signaling her approval of Luo Lin’s shift in perspective. "Don’t worry. I’ll never let my acting skills go downhill."

"Of course. Anyway, we’re taking it one step at a ti, starting with the variety show to settle the fans. Speaking of which—any ideas for fan benefits?"

Tang Shu paused in thought. "Teacher Yu ntioned a docuntary on national treasures being fild at the museum. They’ve invited to be a guest. What do you think about offering museum tickets as fan benefits?"

"...Why is it that other artists charge for fan benefits like rchandise, but every ti you do it, you end up losing money? Do you even realize how expensive museum tickets are?"

The bigger issue was that this ’lucky fan’ event could involve thousands of people. Transportation, hotels, tickets—it’d all add up to a significant expense.

"I think this could be negotiated with the museum since they’re eager for publicity too. A win-win scenario, isn’t it?"

"Fine. You’ve convinced ."

After nearly two hours of discussion, they finally sorted through the upcoming work. By the ti Tang Shu walked out of Starshine dia’s building, she was carrying seven or eight scripts, including TV dramas, movies, codies, tragedies—a complete mix.

Returning to Palm Pavilion drained and defeated, she was greeted by her husband’s cheerful smile.

"Sister Bei didn’t ambush you with docunts?"

"Clearly, my assistant is much more capable than your Sister Luo."

Having been off work for a month, Jing Yu was now completely free, leisurely sprinkling water on—Herbs—looking utterly relaxed.

Tang Shu felt a pang of envy, tempted to throw aside the scripts she was holding and swap roles with him.

"Care to join in reviewing these scripts?"

"You’ve got a livestream tonight, darling."

Jing Yu set down the watering can, walked over, and wrapped his arms around his wife, who was on the verge of a ltdown. He was in a splendid mood. "These herbs didn’t co easy. If I don’t process them soon, they’ll wilt in unsuitable conditions."

During their month-long honeymoon, the two had visited countless places—mostly chosen by Tang Shu—and collected rare local herbs along their journey.

Seeing her still pouting and dejected, he offered, "Want my help?"

"Does President Jing charge an appearance fee for that?"

"Definitely."

Tang Shu was stunned. "You won’t even spare this tiny bit of loose change?"

"We can renegotiate the paynt thod. I don’t mind an alternative."

His low, lodious voice tickled her ear as his breath brushed her skin from their close proximity, sending tingles up her spine in an instant.

"..."

Tang Shu’s body stiffened, her cheeks flushing bright red as she barely managed to hold onto the scripts in her arms.

Jing Yu’s gaze darkened, and his hand resting on her waist tightened instantly.
