Chapter 65: Chapter 64 Dr. Jiang Zhou

According to the previously found data, the Seven-leaf Heart is nearly extinct in interstellar space due to its harsh growing conditions.

Moreover, she feared they would not know how to harvest it.

After the Seven-leaf Heart flowers, it does not produce seeds; it relies on a bulb beneath its roots to divide and grow into a new plant, and the bulb is very well hidden. People unfamiliar with its habits would only dig up the root and not the bulb, which wouldn’t allow the plant to survive.

Furthermore, the Seven-leaf Heart looks quite different as a seedling than when it matures; the seedling resembles a weed, only attracting attention after it blooms with golden flowers.

The reason she knew this so clearly was that the plant had a special effect on her.

Thus, if possible, she wanted to go herself.

There were still three days left before classes resud, and if she hurried, she should be able to make the round trip in ti.

“Insect Star is very dangerous, and there might be High-Level Bug Tribe lurking there,” Gong Yun tried to dissuade her.

“Is Marshal Si going alone?” Qu Tong asked.

Gong Yun didn’t understand why Qu Tong would ask this, but he answered truthfully, “He might bring so subordinates with him.”

“Then let

go with you, I trust that Marshal Si and his people will protect . Besides, I also have so self-defense capabilities,” Qu Tong asserted confidently.

Her strength had now recovered to about fifty to sixty percent, which should be more than enough to match Wen You’s level; she would not hold anyone back.

She was also curious to experience the power structure of this era, as well as the strength of the Insect Clan.

Seeing Qu Tong’s firm stance and recalling Si Yuting ntioning her S-rank strength, Gong Yun relented after so deep contemplation.

Gong Yun sent over Si Yuting’s brain-computer account, instructing Qu Tong to head to Y58 Star, where Si Yuting would arrange for soone to pick her up.

Qu Tong imdiately went downstairs, inford Butler Chi that she had to return to her own planet for urgent matters, and turned down Butler Chi’s offer for a private car.

Butler Chi was a very understanding man, never inquiring too much about Qu Tong’s private affairs or obstructing any of her decisions, making her life much easier.

She had just left the estate when she realized how necessary a driver’s license was—she resolved to get it after military training was over!

Without a choice, Qu Tong had to hail another cab.

Qu Tong wanted to call that poor driver from last ti, but unfortunately, he wasn’t available; she faintly heard soone ntion sothing about a family mber signing off over the phone.

Qu Tong had no option but to hail another flying vehicle, requesting an urgent trip, which cost her a full 5,000 dollars, causing her so pain.

In an uninhabited corner, she spread out her spiritual power to check that no one was around, then Qu Tong took off her coat and tossed it into the Space Button. She took out a set of simple, tight-fitting clothes to put on, and “Qu Tong” identity’s brain-computer was also stowed into the Space Button.

The necklace was taken off and placed into another Space Button she had previously bought online; this Space Button was designed like a button and was directly set into Jun Li’s brain-computer’s silver strap.

With a simple gesture, her jet-black hair transford into a stunning silvery white, and a thread of green special ability wound around her wrist, shaping into a Danqing Yanyu Empress bracelet.

Qu Tong tied her silver hair behind her head and paired it with black elevated leather boots, giving her a clean and neat appearance.

She took the Qingmu between her thumb and forefinger, gently caressing it, as the bracelet seed to respond to her touch with a faint glow.

Since coming out from that place, Qu Tong had rarely displayed this form of herself.

Now that she was here, she would have to use it more frequently.

There was a ti when she hated this dreamy, beautiful color and yearned to return to a normal hair shade.

*

Soon, the flying vehicle Qu Tong had called arrived.

The distance from Capital Star to the southern border was very long, even farther than to Qu Tong’s remote star, and even though she had called the fastest flyer, it still took more than ten hours.

At 6 AM in the main star’s ti, she finally reached the appointed place.

Either Gong Yun or Si Yuting, of course, wouldn’t reveal the location of the First Army Corps’ headquarters to her, chose instead to et at an uninhabited star in the Eastern Frontier.

Two familiar Black chas approached.

Qu Tong had thought there would be many people going, but to her surprise, only three disembarked, two of whom Qu Tong recognized.

“Miss Jun Li!” Si Yuting nodded slightly to Qu Tong.

He then proceeded to introduce the two people behind him.

“This is my subordinate, Xiong Lie, Major Xiong.”

‘Hello, Miss Jun Li, I’ve heard a lot about you, it was because of your pharmaceuticals last ti that my brother didn’t have to be discharged outright, I want to thank you on his behalf.’ Xiong Lie stepped forward with eager eyes to greet her.

Despite looking honest and straightforward, Xiong Lie was actually quite savvy.

‘Hello!’ Qu Tong nodded with a cool expression.

Surprisingly, Xiong Lie was a major at such a young age, which probably ant he was quite capable himself, as could be judged by his muscular physique.

Then she raised an eyebrow at the other man, who was all smiles and seed nothing like a fighter.

Seeing Qu Tong’s confusion, Si Yuting explained, ‘This is Jiang Zhou, the accompanying military doctor of our legion. He graduated from the Pharmaceutical Departnt of the First Military Academy and has so knowledge of herbs. He is joining us on this trip.’

‘Hello, Dr. Zhou.’

Jiang Zhou chuckled lightly, ‘Hello, Miss Jun Li, my surna is Jiang.’

Qu Tong was taken aback and then smiled, ‘Sorry, Dr. Jiang.’

Jiang Zhou had co here on Xiong Lie’s vessel, so naturally, he would travel to Insect Star on Xiong Lie’s craft as well.

As for Qu Tong, perhaps due to Gong Yun’s special instructions, she had been invited aboard Si Yuting’s vessel.

She had just glanced over and noted that Xiong Lie’s vessel seed to be from the sa series as Si Yuting’s, with so similarities in appearance.

But Xiong Lie’s had six seats, whereas Si Yuting’s only had two, for the pilot and co-pilot, and the space for the other four seats had been converted into a small room.

The temperature inside the vessel was moderate, and Qu Tong soon began to feel drowsy.

Having spent the entire previous night on a stranger’s vessel, Qu Tong hadn’t dared to let her guard down, naturally refraining from sleeping.

But as for her ‘bargain husband,’ his character was sowhat more trustworthy.

‘Marshal Si, how much longer?’ Qu Tong turned her head to ask.

‘If there are no special circumstances, 3 hours and 28 minutes,’ Si Yuting replied after glancing at a complex array of data on the holographic screen.

‘It took

quite so ti to get here, and I’m a bit tired. Would you mind if I rested in the back for a while?’

Qu Tong yawned, her eyes brimming with tears as she looked at Si Yuting, losing so of the initial cold aloofness.

However, Si Yuting remained unperturbed, his face taut and his expression stern, his refusal clean and decisive:

‘No.’

Qu Tong: ‘…’

Qu Tong wanted to ask why but then it dawned on her.

Having used Si Yuting’s private space once, she felt it wouldn’t matter to use it a second ti.

But now that she was Jun Li, Si Yuting didn’t agree and she really had no right to question him.

To leverage her identity to threaten him?

Forget about it.

She had never heard rumors of this imperial weapon having a good temper.

He really didn’t understand how to treat a lady with tenderness.

Alright, she’d have to make do in her seat for a while.

She adjusted her position, turned her head towards the window, and closed her eyes to rest.

Si Yuting wanted to ntion that the back of the seat could be reclined a little, but as he turned his head to look, the virtual shadow on the window showed that Qu Tong had already closed her eyes.

So Si Yuting didn’t say anything more, kept his eyes forward, and concentrated on piloting the vessel.
