Chapter 30: Chapter 29 Job Recruitnt Announcent

Xu An took it, and seeing the other party’s sincere apology, he didn’t take it to heart and responded amicably, “It’s okay, it was also my fault.”

“Are you… looking to hire a cultivator?” The young man’s gaze fell on Xu An’s docunt, and he asked tentatively.

“Yes, I am.” Xu An nodded.

The young man hesitated for a mont, then mustered up his courage to ask:

“I am a graduate of this year’s class and also from the cultivating departnt. Can I… have an interview?”

“This is a private hiring, not so big company,” Xu An said bluntly.

Xu An was used to it; whenever he said this, he could nearly guess the outco.

Unexpectedly, the young man on the other side hurriedly organized the papers on the ground and clutched them to his chest, then pulled out a resu and handed it to Xu An.

“This is my resu, please take a look and see if I et your employnt standards.” The young man spoke with reverence.

Seeing that the other party didn’t give up or frown like most people would, Xu An took the resu and said, “Then let’s find a place to sit down and talk.”

“Sure,” the young man replied, visibly thrilled.

Xu An briefly looked over the resu, Xiang Bin, a very ordinary graduate from the cultivation departnt, with no outstanding achievents, a resident of a third-grade planet.

Xu An asked so related general knowledge questions, to which the other party gave proper and standard responses, without any significant mistakes.

“The work location is quite far from the main star, on a remote planet, but it’s closer to your hotown. Can you accept that?” Xu An asked.

Xiang Bin hesitated, seeming sowhat conflicted, but eventually nodded: “Yes, I can.”

Seeing that the other party had accepted, Xu An continued, “At the mont, I’ve only hired you, and I only plan to hire one person. The main job is to assist the boss in planting Energy Plants and occasionally manage the shop’s business.”

“Just one person, can it be done?” Xiang Bin questioned upon hearing this.

“You don’t need to worry about that, soone will arrange the planting work. At present, our production is not high, so we don’t need many people. You just need to assist the boss well, and your monthly salary will be paid on ti.”

“Oh, and there’s a one-month probationary period with a salary of 8000 Star Coins. After becoming a regular employee, it will be 10,000 Star Coins per month. You can accept all this, right?”

Upon hearing the salary, Xiang Bin was stunned, then expressed his joy, “Yes, I can.”

Xu An saw the other party’s delighted expression and figured he must be a person with a simple mind, maybe a bit shy, but there shouldn’t be any problems with his character.

“Do you have any other questions?” Xu An had said what he wanted to, and asked.

“No more questions, boss. When do I need to start work?”

“I’m not your boss; I’m hiring for my sister. Add my Light Brain account, and I’ll refer you to my sister. You can contact her, and once you’ve packed up, you can head over.”

Though surprised, Xiang Bin didn’t ask any further.

After adding each other on their Light Brains, Xu An headed back to school.

He also sent a ssage to Qu Tong on the way.

It wasn’t until after Xu An left that Xiang Bin clenched his fist and whispered a jubilant “yes!” to his chest.

Because he lacked connections and wasn’t good at speaking, he would get nervous during interviews. The teachers hadn’t organized many aningful projects during his ti at school, and even if there were any, they were often taken by students from wealthy families.

He had already been turned away by quite a few companies, and even so small ones told him to wait for a notification, but ultimately there was never any follow-up.

So he had no choice but to lower his standards over and over, content to find any job related to his field.

But he didn’t expect to end up with an unexpected stroke of luck.

The company that had just rejected him was offering a re 4500 Star Coin salary, with a six-month probation period, doing nial tasks for cultivators, and they even required him to work on Saturdays and Sundays.

Unexpectedly, this boss was offering him a salary of 8000, and even 10000 after becoming a regular employee. Even without any days off, he was willing to take it.

And from what the person he just interviewed with said, he would have the chance to get involved in cultivation.

Xiang Bin rarely felt that the oppressive campus scenery was quite nice, and even the breeze that blew over seed a lot cooler.

After calming his emotions on a roadside bench for a good while and reporting the good news to his mother far away on a third-level planet, Xiang Bin hugged his docunts and returned to the dorm.

Upon returning to the dorm and seeing the empty snack bags on his desk, he swept them to the floor in disgust and unapologetically pulled his chair back from under the feet of a man playing gas on the adjacent bed.

After wiping it clean with a damp cloth, he began to tidy up the disheveled desk.

A man in a T-shirt walked up to Xiang Bin’s desk and rudely snatched away the job flyer he had neatly put aside.

“Haha, I told you with that loser look of yours, no company would want you, reduced to looking at this insecure private hiring,” he scoffed.

Xiang Bin snatched the flyer back from the man’s hand and retorted without courtesy, “None of your business.”

Never getting along with the other three in the dorm, and having often been bullied, Xiang Bin had nothing to pretend about.

The man who casually took his things was nad Qin Yu, whose parents were minor leaders at the Agricultural Science Institute with so influence. The other two also ca from sowhat wealthy families and typically followed Qin Yu’s lead.

They looked down on him, but he didn’t necessarily think much of them, either—those playboys who just coasted through life.

“Yo, getting cocky now? This kind of job, I wouldn’t even spare a glance,” Qin Yu sneered.

“Brother Yu has already secured an internship position at the Agricultural Science Institute, shadowing a special high-grade cultivator, with a salary of 7000 every month. In the future, he could even cultivate Energy Plants on his own—why bother with these random recruitnt flyers, unlike him?” said the man playing gas, seizing the opportunity to suck up.

“Exactly. How can soone like him, just useless mud, compare to Brother Yu?” another joined in.

Xiang Bin knew that by sucking up to Qin Yu, these two had also been hired by the Agricultural Science Institute, though their positions weren’t in core departnts.

Facing the ridicule, Xiang Bin had long grown accustod, but he still seethed with anger and resentnt inside.

Qin Yu enjoyed seeing others suppress their reactions, and being flattered lifted his spirits. With seeming generosity, he said, “If you kneel down and beg , maybe I can ask my dad to arrange a job for you in the logistics departnt. It’s a bit tiring, sure, but at least there’s a monthly salary of 5000 Star Coin. Much better than those riffraff companies out there.”

“With your asly performance, you’d break your legs running around and still not find a decent job.”

Thinking of how the three of them had taken advantage of connections to steal his performance marks, his hard-earned opportunities, and how complaints to the tutor were silenced by their money, forcing him to swallow the injustice.

Looking at their arrogant faces, Xiang Bin, from sowhere within, found the courage to shout, “I’ve already found a job. I’ll start working in a few days, so don’t bother yourselves.”

His shout startled them for a mont, then they burst into laughter. “You’ve been running around job-hunting for three months for nothing; don’t inflate your face to look fat.”

“The job you’re talking about isn’t this private hiring you’re holding, is it? Hilarious, soone’s actually foolish enough to believe that. Just don’t get conned into mining on Huangxing.”

“With his dumb look, it’s actually quite possible.”

“Hey, you’re not seriously considering going there, are you? A salary of 10000 Star Coin, that’s just laughably absurd,” Qin Yu said, pointing at the flyer in Xiang Bin’s hand and laughing uncontrollably.
