The sli brought back the part of its body that it extended.
After vibrating a few tis and seemingly making so adjustnts of so sort, the sii stopped moving completely and then started releasing trace amounts of mana.
“…It’s not moving…” [Nikki]
Niki-kun couldn’t feel the mana, so I had to be the one to tell him that it was releasing mana.
“Huh. I can’t use magic, so it just looks like it’s sitting still to … Hey, onii-chan, what’s its mana like?” [Nikki]

Gradually the color of the sli began to change. It wasn’t a big change, though. Its transparent body just beca a little blue. A little tinge of the sky’s hue so to speak. Before long the sli stopped releasing and absorbing mana.

I had the sli produce water with magic, and the water sli was more than happy to gush out water.
“Wow! It’s really using magic! What else can it do?” [Nikki]
I had it cast the attack spell, Waterball, next, and Niki-kun clapped his hands out of joy. After having our fun with the sli’s magic, we ran through the forest to look for more slis to use in the experints later.
Today we managed to catch 15 slis.

“Isn’t it kinda noisy?” [Nikki]
We went back to the village, and just as Niki-kun said, sothing was amiss. Normally, the villagers would be going ho around this ti or be cooking supper, but instead, there were a lot of adults out in the road. The people nearby seed to be talking about sothing.
“Let’s ask them. Obaa-chan!”
“Huh? Oh, Niki-kun and Ryouma-kun. Did you go to the forest again?” [Grandma]
“Yeah. We just got back now. Did sothing happen?” [Nikki]
“Actually, the feudal lord’s ssenger ca to the village just a while ago. Apparently he’ll be visiting tomorrow.” [Grandma]

“I’m sure it’s because of your help with the fishes. It seems the lord wants to visit the people helping out. It’s not just you. Little Kai and Little Kei were called too.” [Village Headman]
Oh, so that’s what it was.
“Thank goodness… I couldn’t think of any reason why I would be summoned all of the sudden, so I couldn’t help but wonder if I’d done sothing.” [Ryouma]
“Ha ha, don’t worry about it so much. The feudal lord here is friendly and gentle. I’m sure it will end quickly if you just talk to him normally.” [Village Headman]

“Village Headman. I actually have a letter of introduction with in case I et with the feudal lord.” [Ryouma]
The letter of introduction is of course from the duke. In other words, from Reinhart-san. He told to use it in case anything happened in Fatma Territory. I got it before going back to Gimuru from his residence. I didn’t have any plans of eting the feudal lord, so I thought I wouldn’t have any opportunity to use it, but it’s good that I stored it in my Item Box.
