170 The Significance

“ngng won’t fall out with .” He Miao retorted firmly, but before Jing Yan exploded, she said frankly, “But even if you don’t tell , I will keep my distance from him.”

Hearing this, Jing Yan’s anger subsided. He said coldly, “When are you going back? I’ll go pick you up.”

“No need,” He Miao rejected him without thinking. “I’ll go back with ngng.”

“You two are really inseparable.” Jing Yan was not happy. He touched his aching stomach and said, “I’m going back anyway, so I can pick you two up. Send the address.”

“Alright,” she said. He Miao agreed helplessly. “It’s just that we still have to go karaoke later. I’ll send you the location when we get there.”

Jing Yan pursed his lips and looked at the ti on the clock on the wall. He said unwillingly, “Then call when you’re done. If I don’t go over, you guys can go back first. I’ll look for you later.”

It would not be long before he beca a stupid dog, and he did not know if he would be able to see her in ti.

“Alright,” she said. He Miao did not ask any further. When she heard Xu ng’s voice, she quickly hung up.

Jing Yan stared blankly at the dimming light on the screen. He took a deep breath and walked into the secretary’s office irritatedly. He pulled Chen Zhao out of the pile of docunts and said, “Bring the contract that was just sent this afternoon to my office.”

“Alright, President Jing.” Chen Zhao did not expect that he would co to the secretary’s office all of a sudden. He imdiately lost the mood to chat with Tao Xin and followed Jing Yan with the docunts in his hands.

After Jing Yan left, Tao Xin heaved a long sigh of relief and could not help but ask, “Sister Li Xi, why do I feel that President Jing is even scarier than the old Chairman?”

Li Xi snorted coldly in her heart. She had seen how patient and gentle Jing Yan was with that woman, and she hated He Miao even more. “President Jing has surpassed his grandfather. My father watched President Jing grow up. I’ve known how outstanding he is for a long ti.”

Tao Xin turned around to hide the contemptuous smile on her face. When she looked up again, her eyes were full of admiration. “Then Sister Li Xi must be very different in President Jing’s heart!”

“That’s for sure,” Li Xi proudly raised her head and even stopped her work, only fantasizing about hers and Jing Yan’s loving life after they fell in love.

Tao Xin sneered and turned around to continue with her work. Did Li Xi really think she was an inexperienced little girl? If she was really special to President Jing, why did he not even look at her when he ca to the secretary’s office just now?

In Tao Xin’s eyes, Li Xi was just a clown. No matter how close her father was to the Jing family, he was just a servant. Did she really think that he was the master?

After following Jing Yan for a few days, Chen Zhao had a basic understanding of his temper. Seeing his depressed expression, he imdiately smiled and suggested, “It’s getting late, should I get the hotel to send the food over? It’s still your favorite dishes.”

“Yes.” Jing Yan nodded. He picked up a pen and wrote down the things to take note of on the docunt, then tossed it to Chen Zhao. “Send this to the manager of the operations departnt. I’ll be eting with the board of directors of Morning Fragrance tomorrow.”

“Yes.” Chen Zhao put away the docunts and suddenly rembered sothing. He carefully reminded, “I heard that Chen Xiang almost signed He Wei on as their spokesperson, but because of the incident with Miss He Miao, it was completely canceled.”

“I know.” Jing Yan curled his lips coldly. “At least they know what’s good for them. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have chosen to work with them out of so many companies.”

The corners of Chen Zhao’s mouth twitched. He finally understood what He Miao ant to Jing Yan.

Their company’s best partner this ti was not Morning Fragrance. Although this company was the best among the erging companies, it was still inferior to the established companies with deep foundations.

However, Jing Yan was willing to give up the best choice for He Miao and only fall in love with morning fragrance. This was not only because they rejected He Wei, but more importantly, He Miao was bound to be in the ragrance and perfu related industry in the future. As a leader of the industry, Morning Fragrance might beco her biggest obstacle.

Jing Yan’s actions could be considered as helping her win over Chen Xiang in advance, and silently reducing her resistance.

On the other hand, Li Ci, who was still thinking about her sweet relationship with Jing Yan, was obviously the one who would never get involved in this relationship.

Since Chen Zhao understood Jing Yan’s intentions, he naturally did his best to deal with He Miao.

As night fell, He Miao and her classmates were playing dice in a private room. She glanced at her phone screen from ti to ti. Jing Yan had not replied to her ssage since she sent him her location.

“Goddess, do you want to co and play?” Many of the students in the class began to imitate Xu ng’s tone and address He Miao as such. Seeing her sitting alone with a heavy heart, they could not help but walk over to invite her to play.
