Liohi Kitagami had found himself in an extrely unfortunate predicant.
As he held onto the edge of the rocky cliff with all his might, he hastily extended his arms further, cautiously keeping his eyes on the three figures who seed to sneer at him.
"Looks like you got yourself in quite so trouble, huh, foreigner?"
"-hk."
Hearing that feminine voice, he gulped while freezing in place, trying to save so strength for one last major push to climb back up, but at the sa ti, he was quite fearful as to these three won who looked down at him, giggling.
Shit, he thought. They’re not here to jokingly push off of this ledge, are they?
With pretty much no way out, Liohi quickly pleaded for his life.
"Girls, p-please...help out here, will you...?"
He grunted and sputtered, clearly close to his limit as his upper body weight continued to eat away at his muscles, but the only thing that followed his requests were more snorts and scornful laughter.
He took a split second to inspect their facial features once more.
On the left was a pale woman with a cute and short disconnected bob hairdo, on the right was a dark-skinned woman with beautiful narrowed eyes, and in the center was a short teenage girl with a an look on her face.
All three of them wore leather and grassy clothing, along with brown and red tribal markings under their eyes and they were also equipped with cloth-like headwear that was ticulously sown into a representation of pig heads with hooded ears.
Finally, the woman in the middle of the trio spoke up with a chuckle, staring down at the pitifully desperate individual below her.
"Poly, do you see what I’m seeing, dear?"
"Oink, oink!" went Poly, the pale-skinned one on the left.
Huh? Oink, oink!?
Liohi’s utterly confused state almost made him break focus. Actually, now that he had thought about it, sothing was truly up with the connection of pig heads, their usual forced snorts, and now this.
Wait, have I...
His eyes widened with genuine shock.
...Have I just t a pig cult, perhaps!?
Wasting no ti, he used his saved strength and tried to pull himself upwards, using his feet that were placed on the edges of the terrain to give himself a good footing while he moved up-
But the stone-like structure that was held down by his feet crumbled, causing him to slip as he lost his footing, and he barely managed to keep holding onto the edge.
The trio above him roared with laughter, seemingly enjoying his despair.
"You’re certainly a brave one," ntioned Poly, grinning from ear to ear. "We managed to snag up a few others just like you. Did you know that?"
"W...What?"
"Bwaahaha! I guess you didn’t know, huh? Of course you didn’t know, oink, oink! I wonder if you’re unsure of what we also do to foreigners like you back at our base-"
"We use your bodies, murder you, and then eat you up!" the young woman in the center chid in, but was imdiately given concerned side-eye glances by her two companions.
"I thought that we could say whatever we wanted to make him more afraid," she whispered, making Poly roll her eyes while the woman with a dark complexion pald her face with a groan.
Not in the mood for gas, Lio spoke up once again.
"Please....help ..."
He had a feeling that his request had a chance of being rejected, but with the implications of other Shinigami Soldiers being at these people’s base in the Lost Forest now present, there was a strong chance that he could be saved in order to be taken in a s a hostage, and then he could plan an escape so that he could continue his mission.
Still, it wasn’t going to be so easy.
"Hm? Oh, right. I forgot that you’re on the verge of dying, right now," Poly piped up. "Still, I’m not so sure. I don’t feel like it’s worth my ti and energy to pull you up....unless...."
"U-Unless!?"
"Unless you have sothing that is valuable enough. What do you have on you that is good enough to grant your survival, oink? Let see for myself-"
"His body is definitely good enough, oink."
"lty, shut the fuck up," Poly responded, directing her words to the woman in the center who couldn’t help but fawn over Liohi.
"Nuh uh, I say we take him back and have so fun with him for a while, oink."
"Hey, we’re out here on important business, you know."
"I know, so we take him back to base to see our leader, find out what valuable shit he has there, and if he doesn’t have any, we kill him after I use him for a while," lty replied before licking her lips, and Poly sighed while shaking her head.
"Y-You know what? I’m not even gonna argue with you right now. Anyway, fuck it. Let’s take him back to camp, and then we’ll see what we have to do with him once we get there."
"Yay! Let’s hoist him up! Help out here, Koro!"
"Ugh. Whatever, oink," mumbled Koro, the dark brown beauty, and reached out to grab onto Liohi just as the boy lost all strength.
Together, the trio had pulled him up, saving his life.
Liohi panted, with both his arms and legs weak as his body remained sprawled on the ground.
He took in deep breaths, grateful that his life had been spared, and his gaze turned to the three won who stood above him.
"Thank....thank you....so much...."
"Thank lty. Her annoying, horny ass is the only reason why a foreigner like you is still alive," Poly said, and turned her back towards him as she began to walk on ahead, continuing:
"Koro, you watch him carefully, now."
"Yes, Miss Poly."
Koro stooped forward and pulled his entire body upwards with only one hand gripping his collar.
S-She’s strong as fuck! Liohi thought as he fearfully peeked at her glaring, piercing stare.
Then, she spoke.
"If you try anything funny, I will be the first one to kill you in an instant. You can be sure of that. Understand, oink?"
"Y-Yes, ma’am!"
Nodding affirmatively, Liohi proceeded to follow alongside the three won who were about to take him to their secret base.
