Chapter 611: Feng Mian’s Secret Hobbies
“Hoh… tournants, huh?” I murmured as the tutorial continued. “How interesting… these will definitely add so interest into school life here.”
“Indeed… and from what I can tell, it’s not just about fighting, either,” Feng Mian noted. “Even right now, there are already several official school-hosted tournants listed here, due to start a few days from now. There’s duels, alchemy, and even… an eating competition, apparently.”
I chuckled. “Heh. I bet Xiuying would win that in an instant.”
“No kidding… for a royal High Elf quiet enough for people to consider her mute, she’s got quite the big appetite… I rember being scared the first ti I saw her eat with us. After that, I learned the hard way that I should always make more than I think is necessary, haha…”
Yeah, no kidding. She ended up eating way more than any of us expected… and her ability to take alcohol far surpasses any of us as well. The last ti we drank wine in celebration of my parents’ return, she’d been the one to beat all of us in the drinking contest… even my father and mother, who were known back in my hotown for their insanely strong alcohol-handling capabilities.
“Any one of them that catches your eye?” I asked, scrolling through the available tournants listed.
“Hm… not particularly. If there is a racing one, though…”
“Racing, racing… oh, there is.”
I blinked as I opened the tournant I found that fitted Feng Mian’s criteria. It was seemingly a motorcycle race to be held in the Recreational Campus about a week from now. The exact rules seed quite complicated and had a whole handbook available for download, but the basic overview was simple enough: you choose a bike ahead of ti, practice with it, and prepare for the actual tournant. Vehicles are provided by the school, and if it isn’t intentionally damaged, the school will handle and pay for all repair costs as well.
“You want to participate?” I asked, and Feng Mian nodded eagerly, excitent evident in her dazzling eyes.
“Just search up this na, then,” I said, showing my phone screen to her. After a few seconds, she was done, but tilted her head in confusion rather than showing a joyous expression on her face like I expected.
“What’s wrong?” I asked—the natural question.
“Hm… this tournant… it apparently is duos,” Feng Mian said, biting her lip. “Apparently, these are not normal motorbikes, but actually special military ones to be used against the Hex, ant to be operated by two people. It’s not as simple as just a normal race, by the looks of it. I can participate solo, but it’ll pair up with a random teammate who also queued up solo, and… well, I don’t want to sit with a stranger hugging from behind…”
“In other words… you want to participate?” I asked, arching an eyebrow.
Feng Mian nodded ekly several tis, clutching her hands tightly in anticipation, a look of pleading and begging in her watery eyes.
“Uh… listen… I’m not really interested in participating in a racing competition like this…” I admitted awkwardly, scratching the back of my head. “The rewards aren’t even good, just a badge and a few MP. Not sure what that is, but it can’t be too worth it to invest in this one considering how much more of it the other tournants give…”
“So… you’d rather just watch another student, possibly be a man, take advantage of in the race?” Feng Mian asked, tears in her eyes as she stared into mine, and I imdiately changed my mind.
“Ahem—I an, I have no interest in this, but if my girlfriend wants to experience it, then naturally I will join her. Not only that, but I’ll even make sure we take first place, to make it the best experience possible.”
“Yay! I knew Xuan Kai was the best~” Feng Mian cheered happily, hugging tightly with a joyous smile on her face. I chuckled and embraced her back, but my heart wasn’t in it.
What did I just agree to…?
“Heheh, I didn’t expect you to be so easy to convince…” She murmured, a smirk on her face as she still remained attached to .
I gave a snort. “Hmph, who let you be so adorable? When any man sees you like that, they’ll instantly comply to any request you have. You have succubus-level charms without even activating your succubus side—truly a dangerous woman you are, Feng Mian.”
“No other man will get the opportunity to see like that,” Feng Mian replied with a wink. “I know this isn’t really like my usual self—the big sister, leader of the group—but just for you… I’ll be a bit adorable~”
“Feng Mian… don’t tempt now. I need to rest, rember? If you keep being so cute…” I leaned in close enough to brush my lip against hers. “… I may just end up eating you up when we get ho.”
“Heh~ we’ll be staying at this place for a long, long ti,” Feng Mian whispered right back, planting a quick kiss on my mouth and caressing my cheek before smiling warmly. “You can eat up whenever you want—you know I won’t refuse.”
I snickered and moved away, before taking Feng Mian’s hand in mine once more and heading off for the teleportation platforms to return to the Dormitory Campus. She bead happily, skipping along and pulling behind her, a light happiness in her footsteps. When I first t her, I never thought a scene like this would be appearing before .
“Incidentally… I didn’t think you were the type to be into sothing as daredevil as motorbike racing,” I said to Feng Mian, who made a v-sign with her fingers and shot a one-eyed glance back at .
“Heheh, don’t underestimate , Xuan Kai. I’ll have you know that even back in Shenzhen, I was the sole thorn in the eyes of the top motorbike gang there. They called Nightmare, since that’s what I was to them. Every ti they tried to have a little fun with the local police… I would interrupt, and steal the spotlight all for myself.”
I blinked.
Wow… to think Feng Mian had this sort of background behind her… I wonder how much I don’t know about the other girls still as well… I’ll have to look into this matter soti soon, it seems.
