Chapter 589: The First Taste
– Later That Night –
After entering our respective rooms to check them out, the girls and I collectively decided to just rest for tonight. After all, tomorrow would be our first day of formally studying at this school, and being late would not be a great first impression. There was no telling what kind of punishnts would be issued at this place, since expelling soone when there already were only a few students present would be sowhat… extre. As such, despite the girls’ begging of to let them into my room to sleep together, I refused and told them ‘not tonight’. I was in the bathroom, just relaxing and bathing myself in the steaming warm waters of the shower head. Overall, although the general the of the academy was futuristic and sci-fi style, the interior of our rooms were still quite familiar in design. Of course, there were more monitors and displays than the norm to show the advance in technology, but that was about it.
Sitting in the bathtub, I thought about what would happen from here on out. I didn’t know what the IMF had planned to counter the Hex, nor what this academy was going to teach us. I was going to find out tomorrow, yeah, but I couldn’t help but think about it ahead of ti. It’s not that I was particularly excited—a better adjective would be ‘curious’, but I digress.
Still, after many minutes of pondering, I gave up. There were so many possibilities that there was simply no way I would be able to guess the right one.
Right as I opened the bathroom door, preparing to dry off then go to bed, however, I was t with Claire, standing directly in front of my naked body and staring into my eyes.
I blinked, and froze.
Of course, I wasn’t fully naked. There was a towel draped around my waist… okay, yeah, I was pretty much fully naked. But regardless, why was this girl waiting outside the bathroom door, much less when she knows I’m showering in there?
“Uh… hi,” I said awkwardly, slowly resuming drying my head off with a towel. “If you need to use the bathroom, there’s another one right down the hall, you know that, right?”
“I am aware,” Claire said with a neutral expression. “I am not here for that.”
At this, I arched an eyebrow. “Then what is this about?”
Suddenly, Claire stepped close, and set her hands on my shoulders, staring into my eyes with those blood red eyes of hers.
“… Feeding ti.”
Before I could do anything else, she bared her mouth open and sank her fangs into my neck’s fragile flesh, and I stiffened.
“Ngh—!”
I felt as if I was losing my balance from the sudden impact, but Claire, on her tippy-toes, held with a grasp far tighter than her skinny fra would seem to be able to on the surface, and kept firm. As my blood was drained from my body by her mouth, I felt myself completely unable to move, like I was being paralyzed by so sort of poison.
“G-Guh…” I groaned and gritting my teeth and clenched my fists, trying to fight back, but to no avail. It was useless. I was completely under the control of this girl, and as much as I hated it, there was nothing I could do. I could feel as my consciousness was being drained from my body along with my blood, and my muscles went limp. Any sign of resistances faded away, and I gave in to this girl’s fangs.
Eventually, my mind spaced out from a lack of blood, and I stopped thinking.
