Since Charlotte had decided to get rid of Eduardo, she made a move quickly. Her plan was simple, separate the two of them using one ans or the other.
She faked an accident with the car taking Eduardo to school. By the ti he opened his eyes, he found himself in the Rossi’s mansion. He had been brainwashed into believing all his family was dead and they had adopted him... No, they bought him as a slave.
Charlotte gave the Rossis permission to do whatever they wanted with him, so they went ahead and made him their youngest servant.
Every day, they made his life miserable. They laughed at him and hit him. He felt pain all the ti. At night, things didn’t get better. The silence was heavy and just as bad as the beatings. Sotis, they wouldn’t give him food for days. His stomach would hurt so much while the sll of good als from the manor reminded him of what he couldn’t have. His face was always bruised. There were new ones on top of old ones. His skin told a story of pain.
He had to live outside in a tiny, falling-apart shack. When it rained, the roof leaked so badly that his bed turned into a wet ss. In the snow, the cold crept into his bones. So nights, he thought he might not make it to morning.
The manor was close by. It was warm and fancy. But it felt like a different world. He wasn’t even allowed to stay with the other workers. They treated him like he was less than them. All because they were scared he’d learn the truth. The truth was that his real family was still alive.
So they kept him lonely and locked him in a hard life, hoping he would never ask why.
Maybe he would have never wondered until he t Nadia.
.
Fabio, on the other hand, heard the news about Eduardo’s death. He couldn’t believe it. The whole manor turned upside down as Fabio couldn’t handle his death.
Viola, even as young as she was, was able to deduce that her brother’s death wasn’t an accident. However, she was too young to find any proof.
She just wanted to protect herself from Fabio, who kept running after her, calling her Eduardo. It got to a point that he even cut her hair to complete her look.
She got saved by her maternal aunt and was taken out of the manor. It took years for Fabio to handle the news about Eduardo’s death. Charlotte was pleased when he went back to normal.
She had killed two birds with one stone. The first one is getting rid of her son’s obsession, and the second one is making him the only available candidate for becoming the next Mafia head.
.
Back To Reality...
That’s what Charlotte thought. But after hearing her son’s words in his room and those pictures hanging on his wall. She imdiately knew that Fabio never got rid of his obsession with Eduardo.
He also found out that Eduardo was alive and in Italy.
"Should I have gotten rid of him back then?" Her voice lingered with regrets.
She crawled to her bed and picked up her phone. She dialled a particular number and pressed the phone against her ear.
The phone rang three tis before she heard a beep.
"Hello, Lady Ivanov"
"Hello? Are you going to fucking greet ? I gave you two weeks to bring Eduardo back and lock him up. How long is it going to take you to do that?" She bit her fingers.
"Eduardo is well protected here, Lady Ivanov. You have no idea how hard it is to get him to et "
"I don’t care. You must get him back as soon as possible. Hurry!" She yelled and placed the phone on the bed.
She sighed heavily and ran her fingers through her hair.
"Damn it!" She punched the mattress.

The next morning, Viola, apart from investigating her brother’s death, was also investigating her mother’s death. It was no coincidence that her stepmother moved into the manor a day after her mother’s death.
It seed so planned.
She was dressed in her usual white suit and long pants that covered her heels. She let her long blonde hair fall on her shoulder. The makeup on her face was moderate.
Imdiately she stepped out of her room, she saw the butler standing outside.
A frown appeared on her face again.
It wasn’t the first ti, nor the second ti and also not the third ti. Every morning she stepped out of her room, he was always waiting outside.
"If my father sent you here, tell him I’m not interested in eting him"
"Please, young miss. You should et him just once. It wouldn’t take much of your ti"
"I said no!" She yelled at the butler. The old man wore a worried look on his face. Viola beca weak because of his expression. She cursed under her breath as she ruffled her hair.
"Five minutes! I have sothing important to do than to et that man!"
The butler’s face brightened up as he led her to her father’s room. She walked in and saw him seated close to the window as if he was counting the days to his demise.
"Master, I brought the lady here," the man said. Her father turned his head slowly as a smile crept on his wrinkled face.
"Finally, Viola. I’m glad you finally agreed to et " he said.
"Go straight to the point. I hope you didn’t call here to discuss your ’lackofheir’ situation. I told you that I have no interest in becoming the head of this family"
"Please, Vivi!"
"Don’t fucking call that. Eduardo and my mother were the only ones who were allowed to call that. You never loved when I was little. You abandoned , just like you abandoned my mother. She was just a tool, wasn’t she?" She yelled. Her father lowered his head in regret.
"Give the title to Fabio; he’s your son, after all,", she said and turned to leave.
"Fabio isn’t my son" he announced. Viola heard that and froze by the door. Slowly, she turned her head to look at her father.
"What are you talking about?" Her voice ca out like a whisper.
