Mr Vladimir was in his room with his butler... They were waiting for the assassin that they sent to the Ivanov mansion last night but he didn’t return.
"Is he dead? How can he be dead? He’s supposed to kill a frail girl!" He yelled.
"Master, please consider your health. I’ll call the company imdiately," the butler said to him and he remained seated.
The butler called the company to inform them about the news and they responded imdiately. The tracker in the assassin they sent to the Ivanov mansion went off, which ans... He was dead.
The butler reported to Vladimir and he almost flared up again.
"How could he have failed? Do I send another one? That girl must die! The pri minister’s daughter must beco Eduardo’s wife..." He yelled.
"Master, we can’t send another one. It’ll beco suspicious," the butler explained.
"There’s nothing I can do... unless, Eduardo’s twin sister. What’s her na again?"
"Viola, Master,"
"Why don’t we arrange a eting with her? The pri minister has a son, though, he’s a widower, it doesn’t matter..."
The door creaked open and Chrishan walked in. He has been listening to all of their conversations. But, he couldn’t bear to listen after they ntioned Viola’s na. They were planning on making her marry a widower. The man who was rumoured to have killed his wife. Since his father was a pri minister, they closed the case and deed it an accident.
’Eddy would probably skin this old man alive if he hears of their nasty plans,’
He thought to himself before he was snapped out of his daze.
"Why are you here, Chrishan? I asked that you send so gifts to the pri minister’s ho," he said.
"I’ve returned father... with the gifts," Chrishan said, with a fake smile plastered on his face.
"What?! Why?! Don’t tell he refused to accept it,"
"That’s exactly what happened, Father. What do we do? At this rate... he’ll withdraw from the project and it would collapse,"
Mr Vladimir shook his head, rising from the bed.
"There’s no way I’m going to sit and watch that happen!" He said.
"What is the plan, father?" Chrishan asked.
"I’ll tell Sofia Perillo to move into the Ivanov mansion. Once the dia knows about this, they’ll flood to the Ivanov mansion. There, Eduardo won’t be able to send her away in front of the dia," the old man said. The butler agreed to his plan but Chrishan knew it wasn’t going to work.
Even if the pri minister himself was there, Eduardo would deny his daughter in front of him.
He smiled, rubbing his chin.
’This is getting better, but the end is drawing near... I’ll have to take the company for myself before it gets ruined completely by this old fart,’
Chrishan thought to himself. He left while the old n were still discussing their plans. He sends the sa plan to Eduardo.
"Tell Eddy, how are you doing to deal with this?"
.
.
When it was late in the night, Eduardo was done with his work as he sat on the bed, his fingers on the keyboard. He stretched and slamd the laptop close before yawning.
"Finally..." He groaned and picked up his phone that kept dinging. There were a lot of unread ssages from Chrishan and also... Marcello. He hasn’t heard from him since he returned to Italy.
He was about to click Marcello’s ssage first but decided to check his fake uncle’s ssage first. He saw the plan his grandfather was preparing and chuckled softly.
"What’s funny?" Maya asked, walking out of the bathroom. She wrapped a towel around her chest. He lifted his head and saw her.
"Nothing, just... Woah, are you supposed to be walking around wearing that?"
"I’m not walking around, I’m in my fiancé’s room," she rolled her eyes and walked to the closet to pick a nightdress. She has moved into Eduardo’s huge room.
It was better for her and also, for him. The maids couldn’t stop talking about how much Eduardo loved Maya after he carried her in a princess style into his room.
Their relationship was stronger than anything else. That’s what the employees in the manor think. But only a few know that it’s fake.
Eduardo’s gaze returned to the phone when Maya found her way into the walk-in closet. He responded to Chrishan’s text, telling him about his date tomorrow with Maya.
Even if the pri minister’s daughter arrives tomorrow, she won’t be welcod by anyone.
Chrishan sent a bunch of laughing emojis before he wished him good luck.
Eduardo didn’t have enough ti to tell him about what he did to Fabio. It was in their short deal that Chrishan gets to help him while he helps Chrishan get the company.
"I just have to help him get the company... That doesn’t seem hard," he mumbled.
After a few minutes, Maya walked out, wearing a black Xo Kitty pyjama pant and a shirt. She lay beside him, turning to look at him. Their eyes locked against each other and she turned away shyly.
"Why are you staring at ?"
"? I’m not,"
"Liar!" She turned her head to look at him. He smirked.
"You’re the one staring at , Maya,"
Her cheek flushed red and her nipples hardened under her light shirt. She pressed the bedcover against her chest. He won’t be able to see it, but she still felt shy.
"You should prepare a dress for tomorrow. We’re leaving the house tomorrow, as early as... 12 in the afternoon,"
"Am I going to act as your..."
"No, you’re coming with as my fiancée. We’re going on a date," he said, leaving the bed. He took the laptop and placed it on the table. He then grabbed a bottle of water, chugging from it.
Maya was silent. Hot smoke was coming from her head as she heard the word Date. She almost couldn’t believe her ears.
"A... date?" She asked.
"Hmm," he replied, with the bottle still on his lips.
" and you?" She asked again. He turned to look at her, covering the bottle.
"Yes Maya, you and I," he answered. She folded her lips, pressing them against each other. He stood there with a clueless expression...
"Huh? Why are you hiding under the duvet?" He asked, walking back to the bed. "Are you feeling sick?"
