Her heart raced in her chest, pounding like a war drum, as adrenaline fired her up and sharpened her senses. Glancing back, she leaped over a rusty chain-link fence, the cold tal biting into her palms as she landed smoothly on the other side, the sound of her landing blending into the city’s night vibe.
Just when she thought she could catch her breath, she spotted a drone buzzing overhead, its bright lights sweeping the darkness looking for movent. "You’ll have to kill first," she shouted back, her voice steady despite the chaos outside, ready to face whatever was coming her way.
